The story was interesting, and it held my attention most of the time. I could not connect with this storyline with the wife being such a pass around. The love part was sparse for me. See what you think.

Messy & Full of Betrayal
I would of loved to be a fly on the wall at this gender reveal lol
This was real messy with betrayal for days. He was a good man too, I couldn’t believe half the stuff that trifling woman did. Smh

New to me author. This was a sloww burn but after reading I understood why. Even though this started as a slow burn I felt like everything got rushed after a certain point. Left it hard to really invest in and enjoy Reason and Ember as a couple. I was able to predict parts of this but some had me flabbergasted. That wife was trifling as hell. I don’t want to give too much away but get into it and form your own opinions.

If all you want to do is expand your family, and it reveals the truth that sets everyone free. This web of family and friends was so tangled that it would take a large pair of scissors to cut it open. Umm, let's start with Saje, the free spirited one. She was spread so thin that I still couldn't figure out how she did it. The skeletons in her closet pile are so massive that you can't climb over it. Then there is Basheer the right hand to Reason, but he is dabbling in other extracurricular activities. Let's just say he is more as a foe than a friend. Wynn and Novah two cousins are more like extras in a movie. They are similar to innocent bystanders but are more intelligent than anyone knew. They knew how to stir the pot enough to make it boil over. Finally, the stars of the book Reason and Ember. These two went through quite a few obstacles to find each other again. Ember suffered the most, but she was strong enough to make it through the mud. She had to make some hard sacrifices, but it all paid off in the end. After it was all said and done, Reason got his family plus his true happily ever after.
Ladies and gents, this is my first read by this author. Secondly, I highly recommend this masterpiece because this artist put their creativity in these pages. This is a page-turner, and you all need to download it today. It does have some triggering content and heartbreaking moments, but it is well worth the read.

This was a good read and I’m glad I decided on impulse to add it to my reading list this was my first read from this author and I am not disappointed… It wasn’t a lot of romance but it was a whole lot of messy drama and my damn heart broke for Ember 75% of the book… But that damn Saje was an entire mess and I’m glad someone exposed her for the trifling individual she was even though she got off too easy… Reason was amazing and his heart is so big he has so much love to share for everyone… I’m glad things came full circle for Em and Reason and they get their happily ever after

Okayyy this was different! Definitely had a ton of twist and turns that I didn’t expect. The FMC and MMC deserved all of this! Ember’s sacrifice was so selfless! And for her to be only 18 making that decision was a level of maturity I didn’t expect. This book was a bit wordy too lol.
Reason- honey you are the reason! A fine MMC who was so in love with his wife that he didn’t even see other woman! Your woman was busting down 3 other men and you didn’t even know! That girl gave the cookies out like samples at Sam’s. I don’t blame you for going off on Bashar- but I do feel like Saje deserved some of the heat. I would’ve like to see a conversation happen to close this all up!
Saje- girl that cookie wasn’t never tired???? And he didn’t even know about Papi!! You fumbled the biggest bag of your life! I wonder if you’ll find love with Bashar?? And it’s seems like you will have a bond with your daughter. You should’ve been honest with him with found how Bashar was but instead you just opened your legs?? Whore!!!

You will never accuse this author of not tying up ever plot point my goodness. This was decent. I’m not a fav of when an author recaps the events of a story but I know it can be helpful for readers who can’t read a story without interruption. I’m also bummed that one of the plot twist turned out to be one of the storylines I skipped all the other surrogate stories to avoid. This was a little too drawn out for me with stuff that didn’t matter. Regardless of the circumstances I think I would have preferred the rest of the story after the reveal to be about reestablishing connection instead of Instalove but that’s my preference. Can’t say if I’ll try anything else from the author anytime soon.

This one had all the ingredients to be a great read, and I hate saying it didn't quite get there for me.
I really liked the overall concept, and some of the twists definitely caught my attention. The story also did a good job showing the characters working through past trauma, which I appreciated.
My biggest issue was the pacing. It felt like I spent more time watching the main characters live separate lives than watching them rebuild their relationship. Then, once they finally started reconnecting, everything moved so quickly that I wanted more emotional development before things turned physical.
There were several moments where the story picked up and had me fully invested, but then the momentum would slow down again. If you enjoy slower-paced romances, this one might work better for you. For me, I wanted a stronger focus on the relationship because I really believe this story had the potential to be something special.

Better than Expected!
I knew I was in for a treat because Author Jai can go way there. She did here. No good parents, lustful coworkers, deceit and unfortunately preying pedophiles. This story had you, well at least me thinking I had it all figured out. I know so much, I told Jai, I know how you get down and this heffa I want handled is going to live forever until book 2. Jai smiled. There were so many twists and IKYL moments my jaw dropped, several times. I was engaged and entertained thoroughly. Am I happy with this book, happily ecstatic. Reason is a good man Savannah. Ember is so strong and dealt one of the most difficult hands. We love to see nothing but good things happen for the strong who put others first. That's what she did and the universe gave her more than what she sacrificed for. Wait until you see what she sacrificed! Outstanding Read!!! Y'all better read this book!

Baby this was a ride! Reason is that man, let’s get that out the way now! He had a heart of gold that was just used and not appreciated.
Saje, I didn’t like that bitch from the start of her POV! Just selfish and grimy! I loved the Gender Reveal! Iykyk
Ember was just trying to make it and I was rooting for her from the beginning! Just a mother protecting her child and trying to survive being a single parent (her momma won’t shit either).
Basheer got everything karma intended for his stupid ass!

Potential
I admire anyone that is able to put their thoughts down on paper and publish them for the world to read. This story has so much potential, but I will be honest, it spent so much time on the main characters life outside of each other and not enough time on them reconnecting. I think maybe half a chapter and then boom, they were in bed. It's almost as if all Reason had to offer was s*x. Again, there was potential, it was just failed to be met.

So I was in the mood for a surrogacy romance, and baby, this book delivered. I enjoyed the pace, writing style, and the twist I never saw coming lol. Saje really had Reason, and I fooled because I was never expecting that! So glad he and Ember found their way to each other, even though when he went the surrogate route, he never expected to see her again. Ember deserves every good thing that came after their reunion.

liked the idea of this more than I liked the execution. The surrogate storyline was different enough to keep me interested, and there were definitely some cute moments, but I wanted more development between the characters before everything started falling into place.
Some parts moved a little too quickly for me, especially considering how complicated the whole situation was supposed to be. I didn’t dislike it at all, I just think the story had the potential to go a little deeper emotionally.

Sweet but
I loved the story concept and the plots and twist as well but the story drug and the when the story got good it would drop and take awhile before it came b acknowledge up. Im not a fan of overly wordy and slower pace. You do get a complete storyline and healing from trauma

I loved this second chance romance. It was too good. I loved Em and Reason love story. Cassie was a bomb friend. Sajie was such a whore and I hope she change for the better. Bash was a messed up friend when he had to do was tell Reason their history and I’m sure that would have avoided all that drama. Another great book.

Really loved this book!! It would’ve been a perfect 5 stars but I felt as though everything was a bit rushed when we got to the end. I would’ve loved to have seen how everything played out with the reunion of Ember and Reason instead of being told about it but I still enjoyed the book either way!

Good Read
Saja got away with way too much in this book and Reason was the loving husband! Saja had me fooled I really thought she was this perfect wife. Ember was a great mother and I’m glad she had a friend in Cassie because she needed somebody because everybody turned their backs on her but in order for me not to give everything away, the Gender Reveal! Good read

Ember went through the storm but this too shall pass, love, heartbreak, homelessness, jobless, a few things life threw at Ember and although she wanted to give up God said not today...with her best sister friend Cassie at her side she came out victorious. BRAVO!

I enjoyed this read. It had spice, drama, & redemption. The pacing was good as well. The characters take you on an emotional journey , I didn’t expect the plot twists at all. Overall, I recommend if you want to read about life coming full circle.

EXTREMELY SATISFYING READ
This was a very good read I did not put this book down! I loved all the characters I knew that SAJE wanch wasn’t gone be right I was surprised at Brasheer though but everything worked for Ember and Reason I loved the storyline for sure!

What a book. I really enjoyed this one. The good and bad parts. Everyone got what was to come to them. The story of Reason and Ember really was interesting and unexpected. I only wish Rhema was years younger when she met her dad. Great reading‼️

What I needed
The last few books have been 🚮 literally. But this granted the adult scenes were extra descriptive but the story line was still there. Not your regular surrogate story.
