The Biker #3

Fearing the Biker

Rate this book
First book in the series, Resisting The Biker

Jordan Steele (The Judge) has been hired as a bodyguard for Jessica Winters, Slammer's new step-daughter. Security is usually not his thing, but he finds himself unable to refuse the offer after meeting her in person.

Jessica Winters wants nothing to do with The Judge or any other biker, for that matter, especially after being raped by one of the Devil's Rangers, the previous year. When she learns that her life is in imminent danger, however, she reluctantly agrees and finds herself in the care of a man who makes her tremble in more ways than one.

**This book is intended for readers 18 years old or older due to the explicit language, sexual situations, and violence that may be upsetting to some readers. This is a work of fiction and is not meant to be a true depiction of a motorcycle club. It was written for entertainment only.

Great action ! What a shocker toward the end and I am so anxious to get the next book now.... it's gonna be awesome ! I couldn't put this down and read it in one day.. my eyes are even a little blurry so forgive any spelling mistakes if there are any, I just had to say BRAVO Cassie Alexandra !

Jessica, recent nursing graduate is trying to escape her small town. Mostly she isn't comfortable with bikers, and her mom married the president of one. It goes back to her being raped by a rival MC and her still trying to deal.

Judge is an assassin that has done some favors for the MC, Jessica's step dad runs...and now he is hired to find her after she has been kidnapped again by the same rival MC that raped her..
Judge comes to the rescue, then is stuck babysitting her..
Few days later Jessica is in love with him, without knowing him...

What killed me is the end, how does one responsible graduate student go from wanting to start her internship to trapping Judge with a pregnancy?
She needs a reality check, and possible a visit to the loony house where Dr.Phil can evaluate further..

I was so excited for this book and was loving reading it but then it just ended like wham bam thankyou ma'am. At 58% no epilogue no extra goodness like the usual then there's some random story added to this purchase. Great book but really quick read I'm sitting here a little dumbfounded lol

Jordan "The Judge" Steele has been asked to step in and protect, Slammer's step daughter Jessica Winters. Jessica has finally gotten control of her life and now a threat has put her whole life in disarray. Now she is put under protection by Judge and finds herself getting close to him but the man is a ruthless killer. Judge is a man who keeps his distance, but with Jessica he is finding it is difficult to maintain distance. Can a hardened man find a reason to bring Jessica closer or are they doomed to fail?

Overall the story was fantastic but it ended abruptly and with a bit of a cliffhanger. I liked Judge a lot, this story definitely took a turn I did not expect at all. I also liked the fact that Jessica is weary of the biker life she is part of, I thought it added a realistic approach to the story.

Fearing the biker

I enjoyed the story but over disappointed that it ended on my kindle at 57 percent and then had some other story. It makes you believe the your getting a full length story, the very deceiving.

At first the thought of The Judge (Jordan) and Jessica didn't make sense to me but as the story went on it definitely did. They have a lot in common regarding the tragedies in their lives. Overall it was a good story but the ending seemed to be rushed. I wasn't expecting that about Slammer although when he talked to Jordan about it on the phone and said he was looking into it alone....my first thought was "big mistake" and it turns out it was. I'll have to wait and see what happens as the ending was also abrupt.

Not bad for my personal taste. Gave me the slow burn I crave & was not repetitive or redundant in the DPV...one this was lacking in my opinion & that's the ending. It left sort of in a cliff hanger of sorts. A mild one, but one non the less. I guess she wanted us to use our own imaginations on how it all worked out & then with moving on to Tanks story...& how's that's going to play out considering who his girl ends up being, but it would've been nice to have gotten a bit more closure with Jordan. If anything...maybe she's leaving room on purpose, to come back.
Their new life in the making has TONS of potential to move through it & it's hurdles! You could go a long way with another full book, as maybe just while they settle into their new lives, trying to incorporate her new career, his new choices in one, (maybe security for big businesses), and learning to be a brother & uncle, someone from his past makes their way to his new life & threatens everything that he put his past life behind for. Sounds like potential right? Anyway, this was a good read for sure!

3.5 Stars..
This book didn't quite reach the heights I was hoping it to.
I have been eagerly awaiting Judge and his story, and I felt it fell a little short.
Not to mention we lose a wonderful character in it. Argh!
The first two books are some of my favourites...
I'll be interested to see how book 4 plays out

Enjoyed!

I have enjoyed this series. I need more of the Judge, though. There were some editing issues, but the author is offering a new, edited version by the end of August...for free. That is the reason I gave this a 4 not 5 rating. Overall I really enjoyed the story and will continue with the series. If you're looking for a quick easy read, this is a good choice.

UGH!!! Jessica was whiney and at times seemed ungrateful. True the bikers had a hard time protecting their women but she acted like they weren't trying. Judge was to soft for my liking. I wanted him to be more hardcore. I didn't like how their story ended. I am eager to read Tanks story.

Why four stars. The Cover of course. Now with Jessica and Judge. I seems they were the same season, Oil and Oil. It was not a good blend, Judge was to softy. I do not see an Alpha Male act that way. If felt wishy washy. Sorry, If my comments offend anyone.

2.5 Stars!

Finally Jessica's story as well as The Judge. I didn't see that pairing happening but they work because they are both victims with their own trauma and see into each other's pain.

I liked Jordan and Jessica but their romance felt too quick and unfinished for Jessica being the prologue. I was expecting so much more from this story then what it was. This story felt more like a bridge story between stories than having the weight on its own.

Plus the part about Slammer and his call with Jordan and the foreshadowing felt like it was just thrown in their to tie a story line in, than Boom. That was over. I would have thought more of a build up would have happened there.

I think because Jordan's life is a bit of mystery many elements were left unfinished. I'm not sure why it felt like so many details were left out.

In spite of his darkness, I adored Jordan. And, in spite of Jessica's being a sympathetic character (rape victim) I struggled to like her. Everything was going pretty well until we got to Alaska and they knew that the other MC was coming against them. Jessica started suffering from a female disease that I just can NOT abide...the dreaded "Too Stupid to Live" syndrome. In spite of the fact that her life was in imminent danger, she argued with Jordan, refused to obey even the simplest orders and put both both of them in further danger. That just doesn't sound realistic to me at all. If I was in the care of a man with the knowledge, skill and experience of Jordan, I would shut the F... up and do what he told me. For that, I took a star off.

In the third installment of the series, we follow Raptor's half-brother The Judge (aka Jordan) and Slammer's step-daughter Jessica as he is tasked with keeping her safe (a bodyguard) from The Devil's Rangers and their new leader Reaper.

This is an average entry into the series that asks you to suspend believability (ex; how easily everyone falls in love, how easily everyone is tracked). I'm not comfortable giving away too much of the plot because there really isn't much of one in any of these books to start with, but I think their predictability is one of the reasons why I enjoy them.

So far, they have all been fun, fast reads that have helped time go a little quicker during my Saturday and Sunday shifts at work. Average, yes, but would still recommend.

Ummm, am I missing something. What was up with that ending that wasn't really a ending. Is there more to their story or was that it?
Why did a main character get killed off, especially knowing who is responsible and that Tank ends up falling for them? I'm just thinking about what's ahead.
Judge was so selective as to who he let into his life and the fact that it didn't take much for Jessica to be a part of it didn't gel with how he lived his life.
As savvy as he was how did he have no clue who was actually playing him for the other side?
A LOT of errors in this book. Words missing or flip to where they shouldn't be.
Interesting story but so many questions left unanswered!
