⭐ 4/5
Thank you to Rebecca Chase and Love Notes PR for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

One of the strongest aspects of Pucking Ridiculous for me was the mental health and neurodivergence representation, particularly Flora's journey towards an AuDHD diagnosis. Her experiences navigating a world that isn't designed with her brain in mind felt thoughtful and nuanced, from the interpersonal difficulties and internal battles to the everyday challenges that can gradually become exhausting.
I also really appreciated that Rebecca Chase didn't portray diagnosis as a simple process. The barriers Flora encounters when trying to access assessment and support in the UK added another layer of realism. As someone who works within UK mental health services, those details particularly resonated with me and made Flora's journey feel grounded in the realities of the system.
I also loved the relationships surrounding Bailey. Flora and Bailey gradually developing trust was incredibly sweet, and watching Bailey begin to open up to her gave the story so much heart. Equally, I appreciated Max's determination to rebuild his relationship with Bailey rather than expecting that connection to simply repair itself.
Where I struggled with a little was my emotional connection to the characters. Initially, I wondered whether I was simply struggling to connect with Flora, but as the story progressed, I realised it extended to much of the wider cast. Some of the dialogue, behaviours and reactions felt exaggerated in comparison to what was actually happening, which occasionally made it difficult for me to see the characters as real people. Basically, everyone's personality dial occasionally felt turned up to PUCKING RIDICULOUS 😂 And while that heightened style will absolutely work for some readers, I personally need characters to feel a little more grounded to become fully invested in them.
Despite that, I still really enjoyed the overall story. The premise was fun, the UK setting was a huge bonus, the representation was a real strength and the ending was incredibly sweet.
⭐ 4/5 - a fun hockey romance with thoughtful AuDHD representation, a refreshing UK setting and some genuinely lovely relationships at its heart. I didn't connect with the characters quite as deeply as I'd hoped, but there was still plenty here that I really enjoyed 🏒🩷

Firstly,I want to thank LoveNotes PR & Rebecca Chase for trusting me with this ARC!🍪
I WAS CRAVING A 5 STAR READ & Rebecca Chase delivered it to me.
Honestly,it is one of the times that I do not know where to begin writing.Everything in Pucking Ridiculous was straight up amazing. The characters, the story line, the dynamics, the tropes and of course THE ROMANCE!So,on second thoughts I believe I should get it from there.
The love story that Flora and Max shared was not just an other emotional journey, leading to the beloved Happily Ever After.I think through that shared devotion ,a part of themselves got cured. They did not only found their forever person but the person who would stay forever with them.Despite hardships, custody battles and diagnosis. Although, my favorite scenes were the ones that Max stood up for his woman. Not because he wanted to seem like a great man or the ideal love interest but he did it for Flora, for her to feel comfortable,to feel taken care of and most importantly loved.
Getting into my girl Flora, she was SPICY🌶️.
I mean we need D,since page 1 situation,& to tell you the truth,I really like these kinds of women.Who are not afraid or ashamed of this nature of them. All that situation got seriously locked in when she landed eyes on the hottie of a man Max is, and as a fellow age gap girlie I SEE THE VISION and I am also in love too. Yet,back to Flora, she was also an amazing representation of the AuDHD community, and really showed up how this can take up your whole life, while of course as most women, when lacking diagnosis.I particularly loved the scene that she got her own,due to how therapeutic it would feel to finally be heard of,to actually being able to prove that you were right all those years about your own self!Truly on of the many beautiful scenes in that story! On the other hand,F's family was an actual nightmare even to me that I am not in it,I really do not how this girl survived and what kind of a monster would treat their own child in such a way. What the real issue is,is that I am sure parents such as these exist in real life and not just between pages of a book.Making your children's life living hell, never listen to them, making them guilty about their own selves and personality should be criminal for me.
Max on the other hand, gave us a perspective of fatherhood that personally at least I rarely have seen in books.Truly heartwarming story of its own,how he managed to get close again with his kid,be his dad and protect him for whatever he needed.Emotional abuse and second chances are rule his own try to regain his boy's trust and their ending is just beautiful. Also,he is,of course,a hockey player who wants to see his woman with his number on the bag of her jersey and let's imagine what he can just do to achieve this.okay,Daddy Max (his team's words).
Ending,Pucking Ridiculous is not just another hockey romance,it is a story about people who stick together no matter what, even if hell itself comes down to separate them✨

I was so excited to read Pucking Ridiculous, not only because it was my first ever ARC, but because I’m a huge sports fan. And honestly, this ended up being so much more than just a hockey romance.
I LOVED the pacing. I’m always a little wary with romance because I don’t enjoy relationships developing too quickly, but the slow burn here was exactly what I wanted. Flora and Max have this constant push and pull, with so many cheeky interactions that feel like natural flirting, and their personalities balance each other so well.
What I loved most, though, was how much story there is outside of the romance. There’s family, professional sport, complicated relationships, parenthood, neurodivergence and finding where you belong. Flora’s experience of reaching adulthood without always feeling understood, while waiting for ADHD and autism assessments, was particularly meaningful to me. And the Cloud family!! All in your business kind of people, but they love Flora so unconditionally, and I adored the chosen family aspect.
Flora’s choices may frustrate me at times, but I understood where they came from, especially considering her experiences and how she sees herself.
And THE PLOT?! Obviously no spoilers, but there were twists I genuinely did not see coming. Even better, they actually made sense when everything came together rather than feeling like they were there purely for shock value. I LOVE when a book manages to properly surprise me.
Overall, this had the romance and spice I expected, but so much more going on underneath it. And the ending? Very, very happy reader here.
I was not aware that this is the second book of a series! I will definitely be reading the first book and the rest to come!

Oh, Rebecca Chase. You effing amaze me.
“Pucking Around” is Chase’s debut hockey novel and the second book in the “Cloud Family” interconnected stand alone series - and in a world that feels like it is saturated with hockey romances, Chase has made a book that should stand out in the crowd and have fans of hockey romance novels rushing to get their hands on it.
Why?
For one, as always her mental health representation is spot on, and this time she focuses on AuDHD. The way she handles Flora’s journey to a diagnosis is nothing short of masterful. The daily masking. The never feeling like enough. The wondering if something is wrong with her.
And then to place Flora in a situation with Max where she is seen for who she is from the first encounter? Where she is celebrated for all of the things that she always felt made her not worthy? Without giving away spoilers, it is a story that is worth reading just for this alone - for who among us doesn’t just want to feel wanted and loved for who we are, with all of our bumps and bruises?
And then the SPICE is SPICING! From the first chapter we are able to see that the MCs have high libidos in addition to their high emotions, and Chase is able to bring balance, tie it all together, and unite it seamlessly into a complex story arc that leaves the reader as desperate for the next part of the story as the MCs are for each other.
Let’s not even get into the found family, step-parenting, co-parenting, and overcoming trash family backgrounds that will absolutely pull on your heart strings even more than the relationship between Flora and Max.
I cannot recommend this book enough, and Chase is definitely on my “must read” author list. If you love hockey romance, mental health rep, loads of spice, and found family vibes - complete with loads of British banter - grab. this. book

Sometimes you just need someone with a little experience!
Flora doesn't think she fits in anywhere and really needs her assessment done to confirm she has autism and/or ADHD to help explain to others why certain things overwhelm her, but also why things need to be done a certain way. She never thought the most support she would get would come from a random father taking a cooking class with his teenage son. Max is trying to reconnect with his son after being separated from him for the past six years due to the technicality of not being biologically his father, just the man who raised him for the first seven years. When Max sees Flora struggling and that she connects with Bailey more than him, he offers her a nanny position to help while he's away playing hockey. Feelings emerge, and lines are crossed, but Flora doesn't do long-term, and Max's contract in England is only for another couple of months. So what happens when the bio dad finds out about Max and Bailey spending time together, and it almost destroys Max?
Max and Flora get their happy ending in this standalone book.
These two were so great together! I loved that Max never made Flora feel like she was less than perfect for anything that came up and that she slowly learned to ask for what she needed from him rather than hide and mask. The struggles that she went through to get her diagnosis were terrible, and I can only imagine how much worse it is in the US. I do love how supportive her adoptive family was once she told them everything and understood that they could be a bit much as well. I do hope Flora completely wrote off her parents and never spoke to them again after all they put her through, especially for all that she was now supporting other students going through what she once went through.

I had the privilege of reading Pucking Ridiculous thanks to @lovenotes.pr and @rebeccahchase
! I LOVED THIS. Pucking Ridiculous was so beautifully written, and the level of depth we got with Flora was everything. I felt like we truly got to understand her, how she thinks, how she processes things, and why she reacts the way she does.
I also really appreciated the AuDHD representation. It was actually such an interesting part of the book for me because I felt like I was learning about AuDHD while reading without it ever feeling like the story was trying to teach me a lesson. It was just naturally woven into who Flora was.
And Max?! 🥹 The patience and understanding this man had with Flora was PERFECT. I loved how he gave her the space to be herself and worked to understand her rather than expecting her to fit into what was easiest for him.
But one of my FAVORITE parts of this book was Max and Bailey’s father/son relationship. I appreciated SO much that their story wasn’t treated like a side plot that only popped up when it was convenient. Their relationship was ever present and felt just as important to the story as Max and Flora’s romance. Watching Max navigate being a father while also falling in love made his character feel so much more complete.
My one little “hmmm” moment was the hide and seek scene. It felt a little juvenile to me and personally wasn’t my thing, BUTTTT I also understand that kinks are definitely not one size fits all, so I can’t really fault the book for that!
Overall, this was such a beautiful, thoughtful romance. I loved the representation, I loved the emotional depth, I loved the family dynamic, and I LOVED Max and Flora together. This one just had so much heart. 🥹

Thank you to Love Notes PR & Rebecca Chase for providing me with an ARC of this book!
Pucking Ridiculous is a spicy sports romance featuring an age gap and neurodivergent representation.
Flora, the FMC, has struggled with her mental health her entire life. This book gives us representation of an AuDHD character who is undiagnosed due to her limited access to resources. She struggles with fitting in and trying to appear “normal” to the people around her, even though she doesn’t quite fit in.
I’m only familiar with the autism assessment and diagnosis process in the U.S., so I appreciated the insight this story provided into how that process can look in other countries. These parts of Flora’s story felt incredibly raw and real, and I thought they were handled really well.
One of my favorite parts of the story, though, was Flora’s relationship with 13-year-old Bailey, especially when he befriends an autistic girl at his school. I loved the moments when Flora guided Bailey on how to make Gina feel more comfortable. Despite struggling with her own everyday challenges, she always took the time to help Bailey navigate these situations, and I really enjoyed seeing that side of her.
Overall, I enjoyed this story! My biggest negative was that I had a bit of a hard time connecting with the characters. I also struggled to feel as much sympathy for the separation the MCs went through because it felt like the decision was made somewhat hastily without fully considering the other options available to them.
Other than that, if you’re looking for a spicy sports romance with an age gap and neurodivergent representation, this one may be worth picking up!

I absolutely loved Pucking Ridiculous. As someone who enjoys hockey romance, I loved seeing the story set in England rather than the usual American or Canadian setting, which gave it a refreshing edge.
The AuDHD representation was one of my favourite aspects of the book. Rebecca Chase realistically highlights the challenges of pursuing a diagnosis, including long waiting times and the impact family can have on that journey. It felt authentic, thoughtful and well researched.
The writing was fantastic, filled with dry humour and unfiltered comments that had me smiling and laughing throughout. I was completely hooked and ended up reading the book in one sitting because I couldn't put it down.
I loved the relationships, particularly Bailey and Flora's connection and the way it influenced Bailey's growing relationship with Gina. Max and Flora's chemistry was immediate, and watching Flora go from shy and quiet to fiercely protective was one of my favourite parts of the story.
The romance was sweet, the spice was excellent, and I especially appreciated how neurodivergence was incorporated into the intimate scenes. The focus on communication, understanding and small accommodations made those moments feel even more meaningful.
Overall, Pucking Ridiculous was a fun, flirty, steamy and addictive read with fantastic characters, humour and neurodivergent representation. I thoroughly enjoyed every page.

Thank you to Rebecca Chase for this ARC which releases on 9th October! This was such a feel-good, hockey romance with a fun age-gap and highly focused on Autism and ADHD. The topics were handled so well and parts really resonated with me.
Flora is a neurodivergent, fiery redhead who works at the cookery school and has a shed load of pastimes, hobbies and things she loves. Her house is being fixed up, and with nowhere else to go, ends up working as a live-in nanny.
Max is a silver fox, a single dad to his distant stepson who has been missing from his life for a while due to relationship issues. Max wants nothing more than to prove himself worth of his stepsons love and wants to rekindle the relationship they had when he was younger. He needs help and fast.
The banter, as always with Rebecca’s books, was spot on. The character growth and how accurate ‘opposites attract’ was fun to read. One of my favourite parts of this book was the separate relationship we got to see blossom with Max’s stepson and Flora. They needed each other in their own ways and it was beautiful.
4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It's no secret I'm a big Rebecca Chase fan. I always know when I go into one of her books I'm in for a great spicy read, usually with the best cinnamon roll MMC and some great representation. This book not only met, but exceeded all my expectations.
Max is an NHL player who takes a major paycut to play in England for the rest of the season in order to reconnect with his 13 year old stepson. Flora, is trying to find herself and also get extra money in order to get assessed for ADHD and autism.
The relationship and banter between Max and Flora is great. But the relationship between Flora and Bailey was my favorite. This book was so cute. I loved the cooking lessons and forced proximity. I loved how Max took the time to understand every part of Flora. The ending of this book was perfect. I was surprised with some things, but I felt all the love and just loved every moment of it.
I loved how accurate this book was when it came to ADHD. From the difficulty to getting tested all the way to the mixed feelings when getting the results. It was spot on.
This is book 2 in the Cloud Family series but can be read as a standalone.
Thanks Rebecca Chase for the ARC.
*I was lucky enough to read an early version of Pucking Ridiculous - Thank you for trusting me with your work, Rebecca*
Pucking Ridiculous is book two in The Cloud Family Series. It was so much fun revisiting the cooking school, but from Flora’s perspective. Our main character, Flora, is fighting to understand herself in a world that doesn’t seem made for her. She’s desperate to save the money for her Autism and ADHD assessments, so when hunky ice hockey player Max asks her to be his nanny, she accepts.
As the sexual tension builds between them, Max’s time in England is running out. As Flora helps him rebuild his relationship with his son, they fall for each other. Max is wonderful at helping Flora and adapting to what she needs. As they find themselves falling, Max is called back to America. Can Flora protect his son and help him return?
I love this book for so many reasons. It has beautiful relationships, fantastic banter, and wonderful representation of ADHD and Autism. A great story for anyone wanting spice, neurodivergent characters, and romance.

This was such a fun, cosy, feel good hockey romance! 🏒❄️
I really enjoyed the small town atmosphere, forced proximity, found family vibes, and all the banter between Max and Flora. Their dynamic was definitely one of my favourite parts of the book. They had such a fun back and forth, and I loved watching their relationship develop.
I also really appreciated the neurodivergent representation and the focus on family relationships. Max’s attempts to reconnect with his stepson added a lovely emotional layer to what could otherwise have been a straightforward rom com.
The story had plenty of funny moments, heartwarming scenes, and that easy to read quality that makes you want to keep turning the pages. The nanny and single dad setup worked really well with the forced proximity trope, and the hockey setting was a fun bonus.
Overall, this was a cute, entertaining read with plenty of humour, heart, and found family goodness. 🧡🏡🏒 Definitely one for readers who enjoy cosy sports romances with lots of banter!

The other day, after I marked a book as read, I noticed it was my 99th book of the year! So I had a poll in my Insta stories, asking what should be my 100th book of the year. Pucking Ridiculous by Rebecca Chase won hands down, and what a special story to read!
It’s book 2 in the Cloud Family series, and you’re in for a treat with this American ice hockey player x British nanny romcom. It’s out on 9 Oct, and I’m so happy I got an eARC for it!!
Flora is neurodivergent (AuDHD), sweary, and so delightful. She is super insightful, and I adored how she makes the kids in the story feel seen, and advocates for them. I also love her tea rating 😆
I enjoyed seeing Max grow as a person, listening / watching and learning as the story progresses. These two MCs match each other’s energy, and it was such a fun read (particularly the dialogue 😝). And the chaos of the Clouds! The family is something else (in a good way!!), and it all made for such an enjoyable reading experience.

Pucking Ridiculous is book two in The Cloud Family Series.
As a sports romance fan and avid reader, this book did not disappoint.
The story of Max, a hockey player willing to upend his life and professional future to be close to his son and Flora, the neurodivergent sunshiny woman who struggles with her mental health is a perfect representation of two different journeys, two different people looking to fit in and find their place with the ones they love, struggling to keep up and being worthy of love.
With real commitment, a deep connection and strong chemistry, Max and Flora end up being each other’s boost to achieve their goals and to become better versions of themselves.
Rebecca Chase created the perfect balance between serious matters and funny banter, co-parenting and neglectful parents, real and found families, forced proximity and yearning, spice and romance, mental health and societal expectations.
Thank you for the ARC.

I loveee found family trope and this one was soo good.If you're someone who loves hockey romance, forced proximity and found family tropes you'd for sure love this book.
We have Flora, she's neurodivergent(ADHD), she's so fun and very sweary!Shes very understanding and I love how she behaves with kids especially how she treats Bailey, Max's son✨️❤️
And I loved Max omg he's freaking good.I love how he always tries to be the better version of himself. He has his own flaws but he always tries to improve his character so they would never hurt people he care about. The genuine efforts are so good🫶
They both are so perfect for each other. The only thing I found a little uncomfortable is the spice level. It was a little too much for my comfort. So if you're someone okay with that then for sure go check this out!!❤️✨

REVIEW OF ADVANCE READER COPY FROM AUTHOR & LOVENOTES PR
DNF
This had such a compelling premise, but ultimately, it just wasn't the right match for my personal reading preferences.
The early chapters take their time laying the groundwork, leaning heavily into internal monologue and atmosphere over fast-paced progression. While that slow build can work really well for establishing mood, it made the pacing feel a bit too quiet for me, and I struggled to connect with the connection between the leads.
Around the third of the way mark, I realized I wasn't fully immersed, so I decided to set it aside rather than push through. Readers who love a very steady, internal slow-burn and atmospheric storytelling might find a lot more to enjoy here, but it just didn't quite click for me!

Pucking ridiculous is a book that was more than I thought it was going to be in the best way! Meeting Flora who is struggling with her life due to being undiagnosed was refreshing to read. I say that because you got to go through emotions with her as she fought to stand up for herself and her well being. Max is so good to her and accepts her from the start and learns along the way to best support her. The way their relationship starts is because on bickering as Max is trying to get to know this stepson after years apart. As they get to know one another and learn you see how they become one another's safe place. There is drama, which i loved and i can proudly say that Floras parents can go respectfully F themselves. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.
Overall: 4/5⭐️

Thank you LoveNotes PR and Rebecca Chase for providing this arc for a honest review.
Ok, hockey and nanny romance! You have me sold Rebecca Chase!!! My two favorites in one book.
One of the things I loved about this book was the AuDHD representation. The mental health representation is something that can go either way and Rebecca Chase did an amazing job with her representation of it. I loved that it was very realistic and showed how it’s not a simple process to get diagnosed.
We meet Max and Flora who just blossom and grow so much during this story. They really are so cute. Plus who doesn’t love a daddy and nanny!
The spice in this story was spicy and I really enjoyed that. Plus an age gap will always bring out the spicy side for me.
Overall I give this 4/5 for me and I’m so glad I got to read it.

Rebecca has smashed it out of the park yet again!! I'm totally in love with this book! I absolutely adored Flora, Max, and Bailey. The family they created was everything🥺Flora was just sunshine! I loved her! I related to her so much, and I loved her stratergies that helped her cope when needed🥰Max and Bailey were awesome too and I loved how everyone researched just so they could understand Flora better. The ending was perfect, I loved reading about everyone and how they were all thriving😍I loved that Flora put her parent's in their place too(they are a nasty piece of work🙄)Reading about her becomming her true self without shame was just brilliant💗 Rebecca, your books keep getting better and better, seriously...never stop writing! cant wait til the next one❤️

Sooo, Rebecca told me to be a good girl, so of course I read the book in one day😅
Flora and Max’s first encounter isn't the best, but as they say - opposites attract😉
The story’s main thing is how the world can be perceived by someone with autism and ADHD, and Flora's journey to get an assessment.
Then you have romance and the 🌶️, superfun and alot!😅
The last is the family dynamic in different variations, between blood and chosen family
I really related and felt for Flora through the book, and I think this book hits different if you share her journey.
This is the second book in the Cloud Family, looking forward to the next one!
(also fun to reconnect with The Bulls Rugby Series)
Thank you for the ARC, Rebecca and Love Notes PR ❤️

ADORABLE AND SUPER SPICY!!
There is something bloody lovely about a single dad trope, and this one is amped up soooo much because of the background to the father/son relationship. 🥹 I also loved that Bailey was a teenager, so he was really involved in the storyline rather than sitting on the sidelines, which was so lovely to see.
The spice in this book was SMOKINGGGGG. 🥵 Rebecca never disappoints when it comes to the romance side!
Also hello British Ice Hockey! Loveeee the English references and the terminology was brilliant.
There was drama, tension, fabulous banter and such a careful, wonderful insight into mental health and neurodivergence. I really loved how these elements were woven into the story alongside all the romance and chaos.
Thank you so much to Rebecca for letting me read this one early. It’s such a treat being on your street team!! 🥹

This book didn’t disappoint AT ALL. A sports romance.
Max the NHL player takes a massive pay cut to be able to play in England for the rest of the season. The way Max was is written is great! The details that have gone into it.
The neurodivergent aspect to this story is amazing. I really loved that a whole. It was well written and beautifully done.
Flora is trying to find herself fans and earn some extra money to get the assessment she wants for ADHD and Autism. Once I started this book I could. Not. Put. It. Down.

The way Rebecca Chase deals with mental health in her books never stops shocking me in the absolute best way. I was so moved by the way her MMC, Max, handled Flora’s ADHD and Autism. I see a lot of myself in Flora and I felt every struggle she faced in her daily life. The perfect way Max helps her was enough to make me emotional more than once. This book is spicy. The plot is fantastic. And the relationship dynamics are just another example of why I adore her books. Amazing.

I really enjoyed the father-son relationship, the banter, and the connection between the FMC and the son.
I did struggle a little with connecting to the relationship between the main characters. I understand that her being neurodivergent was an important part of the story, but I would have loved to see a little more of the other aspects of their relationship and their connection develop.
Overall, I did enjoy the book, it just didn’t hit as much as I thought it would based on the tropes.

No third act breakup! Authentic AuDhd representation!! Found family!!! Don’t bother looking for me, I am exactly where I want to be reading this ARC. Seriously the banter was everything. So was Max learning how to show up for Flora in the very specific ways she needed. May we all experience being seen by those we love.
Also can I just say….. I did not see that EJ twist coming. Buckle up y’all that alone was worth the read.

Thank you Love Notes PR for my ARC.
The first chapter had me laughing out loud and Flora is incredible.
This was an easy read that tackles neurodivergence in a really relatable and appropriate way.
The characters are all likeable and the spice is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I cannot wait to see what the Cloud family get up to in the next book of this series.
You could read this as a stand alone but the first book allows you to get to the know characters and is brilliant. Rebecca Chase is quickly becoming one of my favourite authors.

What can I say...
Totally different hockey romance than I expected.
Follow our neurospicy FMC Flora & her hockey single dad on their love story.
This is so well written & so relatable to those who aren't just Autistic but have ADHD. Those intrusive ADHD thoughts are something else.
Reading this journey that not only the FMC but also the MMC have throughout made it so worth while.
A few spicy chapters with Dom/Sub. please do watch your own triggers.
Nuerodiversity needs to be written in this way more.

This book was a really nice surprise! I love a feel good sports romance, and yes that is what you will get, but there is also a bit more substance with this one. Watching the characters grow and change was really nice and the focus on ADHD and autism was well written. You follow Max and Flora, see their banter and meet the people that surround them. I would have liked a bit more background on Max, but I will say that watching him grow was really nice.

Such a lovely and wholesome book with some spicy bits that were just the right amount.
I loved the approach to ADHD and autism and how that actually kind of made Max fall even harder for Flora. It was so cool seeing how he understood her and was always honest with her.
Flora was really funny, and especially with her interactions with Max, and her relationship with Bailey was the sweetest.
All in all, a really awesome story that I highly recommend!

This book was a fun read! I really enjoyed the representation of women who have AuDHD, and thought that the author wrote Flora and her Character beautifully. Max was a fun MMC, and was a good mix of golden retriever energy and a man that’s gonna handle business.
The overall story was fun and an easy read, but nothing extraordinary or overly exciting happened, and at some points the book felt a little flat or like there were moments of plateau.
