Influential Magic:
It's tough being a faery in New Orleans, a city fraught with vampires... especially when their very existence drains your life-force.

Willow Rhoswen, owner of The Fated Cupcake and part-time vampire hunter for the Void is having a rough week. Four years after her twin brother's mysterious death, Willow's life is threatened and the director saddles her with a new partner--her ex-boyfriend, David. To her horror, he's turned vamp, which causes her physical pain whenever she touches him... and any other specimen of the undead.

In order to save Willow's life, David agrees to turn double agent against the most powerful vampire organization in New Orleans. Or so he says. And she's convinced they know something about her brother's death. Unsure where David's loyalties lie, she turns to Talisen, her childhood crush, to help her solve the mystery.

Caught between two gorgeous men and a director who'll stop at nothing to control Willow's gifts, she'll have to follow her instincts and learn who to trust. Otherwise, she risks losing more than just her life.

Irresistible Magic:
Finding the perfect dress can be hell... especially when a stranger tries to gun you down in broad daylight.

Void agent and magical baker extraordinaire, Willow Rhoswen has been anticipating her first date with Talisen Kavanagh since she was sixteen. After eight years of waiting, there are only two things that can stand in her way--an assassination attempt and a new game-changing drug.

Talisen's invented a new elixir that creates superhumans, ones that can rival vampire strength, and everyone wants it. Including the vampires. With Willow's life on the line, he makes a deal with the devil, while she's forced to accept the always-strings-attached protection from the most notorious vampire organization in New Orleans.

But when Talisen and his drug go missing, Willow will stop at nothing to find him, even if it means working with her vampire-ex, David. With souped-up humans, dangerous vampires, and more questions than answers, Willow has less than twenty-four hours to find him before everything changes forever.

Intoxicating Magic:
Willow Rhoswen is finally coming to terms with the fact that Talisen--the healer she thought was the love of her life--has left town and is trying to move on when a rogue vampire poisons three of Allcot's guards. With his most trusted security team on the verge of death, the notorious Cryrique leader orders Willow to bring Talisen back to New Orleans before it's too late.

But when she gets to her hometown of Eureka, California, Willow once again finds herself the target of her brother's murderer. And suddenly no one is who they seem. With spies, secrets, and undercover missions to navigate, Willow's determined to not only survive but to do whatever it takes to protect the ones she loves, all while hopefully getting her happily-ever-after.

Never since Twilight have I listened to a book that must have been written for 12 year old girls. It was a moderately good story ruined by fairy Willow constantly vacillating between two different boys, losing her temper, and never being able to decide who she wants. The story itself was interesting but this Twilight-like back and forth isn't decided until the few pages of the trilogy. Skip this one unless you enjoy teen girl angst.

This is a trilogy set in a world of vampires and fae.
Fae Willow owns a magical cupcake shop and also works as an advisor for The Void; a kind of paranormal police department.
In book one she’s moping over being dumped by her boyfriend David when she returns to New Orleans and is joined by her oldest friend Tal, who she’s also had a secret crush on.
But things get complicated when David turns up and he’s a newly turned vampire.
Everyone knows fae and vampire don’t mix.
This trilogy goes through the whole ups and downs of a decent story arc full of intrigue, secrets, love triangle problems, humour and immense danger.
We get to know lots of the side characters and get our HEA - I just won’t tell you with who!
Brilliant value box set of magic and mischief.

The story starts off light and hopeful and you're slowly, but not too slow, brought into the world with Willow and Tal. Then you go to New Orleans and it's all ruined. Willow is pretentious and her personality is like chewing on tin foil. I tried very hard to maintain the small connection I felt with her over the loss of her brother, but I couldn't and that surprised me. So through the first half of the story, you get to hear Willow talk about how awesome she is, that she's the inventor or this, and that, and also that, and she is the best faery in the world. There is no humility in this character, only hubris. Then there is David. She hates David. There is no doubt how much she does - then suddenly she makes a very strange move and her hatred for the vampire was just a lie. Regardless, there's back lash from what she did and she is suddenly thrust into a world she hates. Good for her. Sadly, that did not appear to be the end of the book like I hoped it would be. It was like half done and I was trying very hard to continue reading about a trite character and her abrasive friends. The only person I sort of liked was Talisen, but that is probably because he didn't get much exposure before I set the book aside.

Annoying heroine

Some really great stuff like the shop of magical pastries, but the heroine is too whiny, unnecessarily bitchy, and monumentally stupid about dashing into dangerous situations just because some guy tells her not to. Overly complex plot fails to make up for poor character development.

I really wanted to go lower than 3*, but as much as I disliked Willow and her well... more about that in a minute. I did love Talisen, Link and Phoebe. Even the likes of Allcot and Pandora were more enjoyable, at least they were interesting and complex characters.

Now as for the protagonist and self-proclaimed heroine of this trilogy, simply put she ruins the entire story. She's pretentious, full of hubris, throwing non-stop temper tantrums. Weak willed, unable to make up her mind about anything and then blaming everyone and their grandma for the fallout.
Selfish, self-centered with no regard for the bigger picture you'd think she was 12 years old, not a grown woman with a successful business.
The people that time and gain use and abuse her she keeps making excuses for while those that continuously have her back she keeps assuming the worst of, while repeatedly biting their heads of for no apparent reason. Like I said, a 12 year old throwing tantrums.

Oh and did I mention I absolutely HATE love triangles. Seriously regret reading these books.

I am happy that I ended up reading the spin-off series 'Last Witch Standing' first, not realizing that it was in fact a spin-off at first. Because I'm honestly not sure if I still would have read it, had I read this one first, which would have been a shame, cause I absolutely love that series.
Disappointing

Book 1:
I really enjoyed this book! It's a great beginning to the Crescent City Fae series. This book had a little bit of everything, a paranormal, action packed, mystery with a side of romance, blended together perfectly. I love Willow. She is a strong, intelligent, kindhearted fairy who isn't afraid to speak her mind and stand up for her beliefs. Looking forward to book 2!
Book 2:
This is the second book of the Crescent City Fae series and is just as gripping as the first. Deanna Chase is a great writer and you feel as if you're right there experiencing each moment with the characters. Willow has very strong beliefs on what is right and wrong and stays true to herself. I'm excited to see what book 3 brings!
Book 3:
Wow! This is the third book in the Crescent City Fae series and is full of action and suprises. Willow repeatedly shows how strong she is by believing in herself and not taking the easy way out. While she did not end up with the man I had been hoping for, she did get a hea with HER perfect match, so I can't complain. A great ending to a great series!

At a loss for words!

I had read book 1 a long time ago, to be able to re-read it and the complete set...AMAZING! Deanna has a way of giving you a back story without missing the present, or maybe it's just no fluff. Some background comes in the form of flashbacks, or memories so that you're not lost but also it is sticking to the story. Willow, Tal, and David great triangle! Each character is awesome! I love the ending, knowing where all ends up is great. Now, I want to read more about some of the others, Phoebe, maybe? Would like for her to have someone, even Nicola needs to be happy, I would like to know more about her and her sister Pandora. Can't wait to read more! If your into paranormal, then this is one for you!! Thanks Deanna! So awesome!

Stunning series

With interesting characters in interesting situations, this series has completely charmed me. Over the three books, we see Willow and Tal fight mortal enemies to overcome and prevail.

Ganda Zackman does a wonderful job narrating these three stories although her pronunciation of the word ‘forward’ drove me dilly!

Highly recommended for young adult upward who have a love of stories with a HEA (eventually!) About vampires, witches and fairies.

Great read

I really enjoyed reading Crescent City Fae Series books 1-3. There were some minor missed edits here and there, but the storyline was strong and kept me so drawn in, that I was able to read through them and enjoy the tale. Overall, I liked Deanna Chase’s take on fae, witches and vampires, the mob and the paranormal government, and how they worked in telling the story...while not exactly working together 🤣.

Loved the series

I got the series for free. It was amazing. All the vampires and fae I love reading the paranormal books this one was so good I didn't want to put it down till I read all of it. I was so glad when Willow chose the fae over the vampire.

Great read

Had a great flow from beginning to end and never felt rushed, and even though there were times I wanted to strangle Willow they were far and few between. Thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Willow, owner of The Fated Cupcake and semi-reluctant agent of the Void, which seems to be the fairy FBI, has to deal with threats to her family, a boyfriend-turned vampire, pressure from work, and protecting her friends.

I really enjoyed this romantic fantasy series! It's always nice to be able to read each book in the completed series that's conveniently bound into one! Very good!

Crescent City Fae

A world with known supernaturals - fae (with and without wings), vampires, shifters - most of them power hungry wanting to use or manipulate or kill Willow.

A most enjoyable mystery.

Willow and co run the gamut of adventures and emotions as mysteries within mysteries slowly unravel. It's a rollicking good yarn that sustains interest over the length of the trilogy. I thoroughly enjoyed rereading all three books.

A very decent and interesting series of books

Interesting character development, with real feeling conflicts in their changes and depth. Captivating as each book draws you into the story line. A good read.

This was a good trilogy when you're waiting for your fav. authors to come out with their next book. The best part is (besides keeping me interested) was that there where no cliff hangers, like there might be a spin off - just completed the story.

Loved it!

I really enjoyed this series. I was frustrated with the love triangle & had a hard time deciding who I wanted Willow to end up with. I'm pleased with the way things turned out in the end though. I've read some of Deanna's other books & will definitely read more.

From the moment I started reading I couldn't put it down. You are thrown into a complex world with great characters you'll love or hate. It's fast paced with lots of action. If you like Trueblood, you'll love this series. It's kind of like Trueblood meets NCIS.

Perfect

It completely fit, best ending I could have hoped for. Loved it from beginning to end. The couple rough spots were easy enough with the rest of the story.
