Brattleberry Manor is plagued with death. All is not as it seems when Amon arrives to solve the mysterious deaths. Sen is a mystery he can’t seem to keep himself from solving even if he loses what he hides most in the process; his heart.
BlackSilver Bone follows Amon, a demon who arrives at Brattleberry Manor to investigate the suspicious deaths happening. There he meets Sen, an intoxicating mystery he needs to solve. Even if it means handing over his heart in the process.
This is the perfect quick, entertaining fantasy. It’s only about 200 pages and it was so easy to fly through. I really enjoyed the mystery element. I definitely didn’t guess what was really going on and the twist was really good. There was also some gore which was awesome. It feels like the perfect fall read—very atmospheric and spooky.
I really enjoyed that it was dual pov. It was nice to see from both perspectives, especially as the romance kicks off. Amon and Sen have a lot of chemistry, great banter, and it was so swoony how obsessed he was with her. Sen was such a cool character. Her backstory and arc was so much fun and I loved the reveal. It’s a very villain coded romance and I loved that.
If you’re looking for a quick mysterious dark fantasy with a swoony romance!
