This feels like the beginning of something much larger. The story tells a satisfying adventure on its own, but there are enough mysteries, discoveries, and unanswered questions that it left me excited to see where the series goes next.

What stood out the most was how naturally the worldbuilding was handled. The book never buries the reader under endless history or technical explanations. Instead, everything is revealed through the characters and the events unfolding around them. Even though there is clearly a much larger world behind the story, I never felt overwhelmed or like I had to keep track of pages of lore just to understand what was happening. The pacing stays strong, and the human element keeps everything grounded.

Without giving anything away, the ending was what really stuck with me. It doesn't rely on spectacle alone. Instead, it lands on a deeply human moment that feels raw, honest, and emotionally powerful. It was the kind of ending that stayed with me.

The preview of the next book was a nice surprise. It appears to pick up right where this one leaves off, and after reading it, I definitely want to see where the story goes from here.

Highly recommend.

Horizon’s Gate pulls you in from the first chapter with its atmospheric worldbuilding and slow‑burn tension. The story unfolds like a mystery wrapped in sci‑fi, revealing pieces of a larger truth that keeps you turning pages. The characters feel grounded, the stakes rise naturally, and the final stretch leaves you wanting the next volume immediately. A strong start to a saga with real depth and intrigue.

A high rolling thriller

One of a kind. The reader can't predict what's coming. Authentic action and character. A real page turner that does not let go.
