I love her boldness. Cassie was so brave to take this leap of faith and tour the country in search of something more all by herself. But along the way, wherever she went, she found companions and made new friends. She asks a stranger at a trailhead to hike up Rainier with her, she invites strangers to camp with her, and floats down a river with strangers after rescuing their belongings.
I love her honesty. Telling us all about the relationships along the way, her marriages and her crushes.
Cassie has that something special that shines through and makes everyone like her. You can see that in this compilation of her adventures and it comes through on her social media too. She is real, and she is kind. And it makes you want to go on a road trip with her.

I received an ARC of this book, thanks to the author! I’ve followed Cassie online for a while and I’ve always enjoyed how candid and personable she is, and this book just showed that even more. I loved reading about her journey and the lessons she learned along the way. My one note is that I wish she expanding on some of her thoughts more. I felt like she could’ve given some more details of her inner monologue. Overall though, I really enjoyed the book and loved getting to learn more about the author’s journey!
I've been following Cassie on Instagram for a while, enjoying her beautiful photography, her light-hearted spirit and marveling at her ability to participate in so many adventures solo. While the book isn't the smoothest reading, it is entirely her voice and authentic. During different parts of the book I tried to decide if she was brave, crazy or foolish. I wondered if the crazy/foolish thoughts stemmed from my own thoughts that I could never do what she just did, whether it was being along with strange men in the middle of nowhere, or challenging herself physically in hikes previously not known to her. She made the right decisions for her and that's what makes this book the most enjoyable. Whether it be the difficulties/disappointments she encounters or the adventures/people that make her heart sing, she allows both scenarios to shape her in the most beautiful way. I have listened and watched her podcasts, and she truly is a soul that radiates joy for the beauty that is nature.
I was so excited when Cassie released her story of all her adventures on the road. Hearing about her soul journey and reading her stories, I instantly felt a connection with the author. I loved reading about all her hikes and experiences, and what she got out of the places she visited. It makes me want to jump in my car and explore the world. Hopefully I can see a portion of the places she’s been. Her humor is awesome and makes her story feel so real. Wonderful book, I couldn’t put it down.
