If you have read "Gathering Prey" by John Sandford... and have enjoyed it as much as I have, then you will definitely love this companion to his other books. This one definitely gives you a chance to explore the authors world a little more in depth... and allows you to get to know the characters, understand the previous missing points, and also gives the story new alternate endings. It really opens up a new world for the reader and gives you a different viewpoint of the story and characters. Getting to revisit and spend more time with the main characters, Letty and Lucas, was amazing! A lot of questions I had in my mind were all answered and it helped me get so much more out of the novel than I would have just reading it alone. It truly is a must read for anyone who is interested in learning more of the background information from Sandford's previous book and it is definitely one of the best books you will read this summer. I can't say enough good things about it. I absolutely loved it! I give it 5 out of 5 stars!

An interesting companion to the novel "Gathering Prey". It gives a comprehensive yet concise summary of the novel, with a lot of insights that ordinarily would be missed by many readers. I liked the way the chapters were ended with thought-provoking questions, inviting discussions on Goodreads. I also liked the "closer look" at the characters, describing each one of them with insightful details. Overall, this is a great companion that enhances the experience of reading the original "Gathering Prey".
