This is a wonderful story about a girl who saves her money to buy the perfect pony. But she sees a little pony in rough shape. Which pony will she buy? Niki, the little girl also has to find a way to deal with a little boy who is nasty to her. Will she discover what is causing him to behave that way? This is a sweet story for young readers.

A Perfect Pony was a pretty good book. I've definitely read better horse books, but this was kind of something to do when I was bored. It's rather short but oddly satisfying. The tale of a girl who finds a mistreated horse and brings him back to life.
