Denial
“The evil that men do lives after them;
The good is oft interred with their bones”
William Shakespeare
You’re back. That says a lot about you.
The psychopaths haven't left. They’re bolder, darker, and unwilling to shut up. Katherine Black opens another door and invites you to meet the people inside her head. Some might break your heart. Others will make your skin crawl. A few may leave you questioning your humanity.
These stories delve into the beauty and brutality of the human condition, where compassion is forced to sit next to cruelty but shuffles as far away as possible. Hope walks with despair, and the line between victim and villain is never where you expect it to be.
While everyone is wondering what's for dinner, Katherine wonders how long a guilty conscience can survive... and whether monsters are born or made. Nature over Nurture?
These stories are unsettling, thought-provoking, compassionate, disturbing, and deliciously dark.
You might laugh when you shouldn't and flinch when you don't expect to.
If it weren't so shocking, you would be in... denial.
