“You pack your stuff, kick him in the balls and come down here right now,” is Nana’s sage advice and there’s nothing Liv needs more than to escape to a tropical paradise but as she quickly learns hiding out is harder than it seems. Landon Fitzpatrick has everything he could ever a nice cozy bungalow on the beach, his own fishing boat and a stool with his name on it down at the local dive bar. The sweet, slow life on Tamarind Key is all he could ever dream of until one night Liv comes in like a whirlwind of crazy black curls and snarky attitude.
Normally, a beautiful, available woman moving into town would be a godsend but Landon quickly learns that this one has a barbed tongue to match his own. More than that, she plans to renovate and reopen the old Sea Watch resort and bring hordes of tourists to the peaceful little island. With her band of meddling senior citizens she seems hell-bent on destroying what Landon’s family has spent years preserving.
Kay writes funny, warm contemporary romance. She lives in Fort Lauderdale with her family. The Key to Paradise is her debut novel but it received high acclaim from her friends, family and dog.
I really enjoyed The Key to Paradise. loved the characters and there was never a dull moment. MAde me want to move to the island and hang out with the bingo bunch.
This book was very entertaining and is a great summer read. Humor injected into the story line is an added source of enjoyment. I hope to hear more from the "Vespa Vixens" in the future.
