When I first started reading this book back on October 5 (set it aside to read another book) I didn't know if I was going to finish it. It wasn't that interesting. After finish reading the other book, I picked this one up again to try and finish it. It actually got a little better but not by much. I believe this is the third of three books in the series. I'm glad because the books just weren't my style. They weren't bad, the typical police procedural type stories.

This book is about a detective named Gilbert figuring out who killed a man named Bloyed. Bloyed took Gilberts wife to France for a romantic getaway. So the investigation is very personal to him. Bloyede was found strangled in his bed and a broken arm. They found drugs on his bed side so they thought it was gang related but he was strangled with a women’s scarf. Gilbert smelled perfume on the scarf that reminded him of his wife so he secretly suspected her. It was very suspense full. I recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense and police books. He wrote the book for entertainment I say this because it is interesting. This book kept me interested because I like suspense books .The book was frustrating because it kept going to other things that weren’t important at all. Like Gilberts daughter getting AIDs that didn’t tie in to the story at all. If this book was made into a move the guy in the Transporter would be Gilbert because Gilbert is calm and collected like the guy from Transporter. The part when the Cubans get shot captivated me because the two main suspects were killed. No I did not predict the ending at all.

What did i think

It was a pretty ok storyline. It didn't take forever to get into nor did they over do it on descriptions of everything on the way to a scene......so Hemingway !
