Orphan Train Out West book 2
Lydia is the Matron of the Orphan Train and she has placed 400 children in homes.
Lydia has Tilly, and she is the last child to be placed. Abel Hartley is a widower wanting to be the Father of Tilly, but its against the rules to allow an unmarried man take a girl child even though Tilly believes he would be an excellent Father. So Tilly is placed with a very wealthy family. Big Mistake.
This is a Great book and the 2nd book of the series. I cant wait to read the 3rd. and hopefully more.

justice prevales
A wonderful heart warming and thoughtful book. Well worth the read. Orphan stories usually pull at your heart strings but this particular story pulls at your mind! Discovering how to circumvent a “contract” and come out the winner.. I do recommend this book for all ages

incredible story!
I’ve read Ms Ashwood’s short mail order bride books over the last few years and always enjoyed them. But this one was so much deeper! I can’t imagine what some of those poor little children had to endure.
I, also as another reviewer stated, wish Micah would have made an appearance at the end.

The story is incredible and very touching.
It is very touching and sometimes hard to read because of the subject matter. The truths are that it actually happened in those days and I am sure still do. It does end well.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It will touch your heart, test your definition of right and wrong, and bring you to tears. It will leave you cheering for decency and loving a stern old country doctor. What it won't do is let you ever forget it.

Unforgetable
The Orphan Train stories are my favorite. This book was a page turner from the first page to the last. I love a good tearjerker as it refreshes the soul. This book did not disappoint. It was a gem.
