From USA Today bestselling author Jillian Dodd comes the ninth book in the addictive Keatyn Chronicles series. Discover a breathless fairy-tale romance with swoon-worthy characters set in a glittering celebrity world. Fans of reality TV will devour this pulse-pounding, sexy Hollywood drama.
Follow the lives and loves of those who work at Captive Films:
Riley Johnson — Captive Films’ CEO and millionaire playboy is hot, privileged, and seriously single. He’s got it all—a brand new jet, exotic cars, a luxury penthouse, and a different aspiring actress (or two) in his bed every night. His life is perfect until the only girl he ever loved walks back into it, causing him to wonder if he truly has it all.
Keatyn Douglas — Hollywood’s sweetheart and owner of Captive Films leads a chaotic, glamorous life. But running a successful film studio, writing scripts, and her own acting career leave little time for the things she dreams of, like marrying the man she loves and having babies. When drama starts at work, she may decide to give it all up for life out of the fast lane.
Dawson Johnson — The dark and dreamy marketing consultant joins Captive to escape his past. For the last two years, his sole focus has been on caring for his adorable daughters after tragedy struck their lives. He comes to Captive looking for a fresh start and, if all goes well, he might find a lot more than that in Hollywood.
Knox Daniels — Considered the sexiest man alive by a certain magazine, the sentiment is echoed by the actor’s adoring fans. While romance abounds in the roles he plays, he’s convinced he’ll never find his own happily ever after—until he meets a woman who just might change that.
Shelby Benson — The beautiful cocktail waitress and wanna-be actress struggles to make ends meet. A chance encounter with Riley Johnson is her lucky break and the golden ticket to everything she’s ever dreamed of—fame, power, money, sex, and love.
Written soap-opera style with multiple points of view, you can expect lots of drama, sex, and tabloid-worthy events.
Jillian Dodd is a USA Today bestselling mother-daughter duo made up of Jill and Kenzie — two writers, one pen name, and a shared love for fun, binge-worthy YA romance.
With over fifty books and millions of happy readers, their stories range from small-town love in That Boy to glamorous adventures and swoony YA boarding school dramas in The Keatyn Chronicles, London Prep, Spy Girl, and beyond.
Jill lives in sunny Florida with her husband, while Kenzie lives in Scotland with her husband and family. When they’re not writing across time zones, you’ll find them planning their next adventure or dreaming up lovable stories readers can’t put down.
I love these cheesy romance books, but Jillian really needs to fire her editor!!! How can there be so many silly mistakes in the book? It really makes it hard to read. Overall it was great, unrealistic that everyone from highschool are still friends and inlove, but juicy ending! Very juicy!
I can't believe after the Keatyn Chronicles these books are still going. Everyone is still friends and still happily inlove. Riley and Ariela are finally working out their problems, she's divorcing her husband but after deciding to make a new start stupid Shelby that Riley slept with a few times comes along and tells him that she's pregnant with his baby. Personally I think she's just after his money. Keatyn finds out that she's pregnant and Aiden proposes to her. Dawson finds love again with Vanessa after Whitney commits suicide. And Dallas and Rianne are having baby number 5! Dawson also gets a job working at Captive studios with Keatyn, Dallas, and Riley.
I quite enjoy Jillian's books and to have another series from her to read is awesome. Keep up the good work, can't wait to read the next book.
I love Eastbrooke!! I'm loving learning about all my favorite characters too!! Poor Riley! Shelby has to be lying! I hope it doesn't mess up Riley and Ariela!! Ugh
I’m really enjoying the multiple points of view as it’s fun getting to see inside the characters I loved in the earlier stories of Keatyn Chronicles. I’m excited for Gracie to possible go to Eastbrooke. Now need to hurry and read the next book to see what is going to happen with Riley!
All grown up. Our teen heroes have moved ten years into the future. Some have been very successful and others not so much. Time for a class homecoming and a chance to see old friends. Heal old wounds and visit good memories.
This book was definitely worth the read. I was hooked from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. The only thing that I noticed that was a negative was that there were a lot of errors. However, it’s not going to stop me from reading the next book.
There were some cringe moments in this book - like telling a 14 year old that she had a banging body. The story just didn’t seem plausible and it may have been the readers, but the story seemed forced to me. I know it is also a book in a series but there are so many unfinished storylines.
This whole group are amazing friends and really look out for each other. Riley is having a rough go so they band together to get him through. Dawson decides to move to California and falls in love. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Omg another great story couldn't put it down. Loved how you got to learn more about Riley and see why he’s like he is now. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
I loved Power. The pacing was fast and I loved seeing what happened to the kids from Keatyn Chronicles when they grew up. Can't wait for the next episode
I'm loving this chronicle or whatever it's called. Kearny and the gang are still kicking life around and now looks like Riley's got his tail in a crack!
Oooo these books are getting better and better! I only have a couple of books left in the series and I don't know what I am going to do at the end of the series!
The last line completely ruined this book for me. It’s a dumb plot device. Riley has been through so much, I don’t know why we can’t just let him be happy!!!
I need the biggest eye roll here.... You run a multi-billion dollar company but you cant make a rational adult decision or have a conversation when it comes to your person. For the love of god. This has been one of my complaint the entire time with these books and I am glad to see that Riley hasn't grown up whatsoever. Kudos to the writer though for keeping that Sh!t consistent man. Maybe if I lived in this world this stuff wouldnt seem so uncommon to me, but hey i'm just a normal person :)
I devoured all 12 books in the Keatyn Chronicles (KC) series in one week after discovering Jillian Dodd's London Prep Books 1 & 2 and WOW!! if you're looking for a series that will draw you in, This. Is. It!
London Prep is also AWESOME BTW and even though the story is still being written, it is just as consuming as KC!
My favorite thing about this series is watching Keatyn, and her friends, grow over time. This is not your typical high school romance where the girl meets a boy and they are together by the end of the book. Keatyn's life is full of drama and she has several guys come into her life throughout the first part of series (Books 1-7). We love each one for different reasons but in the end fate brings Keatyn her moon boy.
The second part of the series (Books 8-12) are written when Keatyn and her friends are young adults. This is written from multiple perspectives so we get to know her friends better. Even though Keatyn has her HEA there is still lots of love and drama.
The book order is a bit confusing due to title and formatting changes (Goodreads and Amazon don't match) Book Order: 1) Stalk Me #1 2) Kiss Me #2 3) Date Me #3 4) Love Me #4 5) Adore Me #4.5 6) Hate Me #5 7) Get Me #6 * Bonus Alternative POV: #6.25 * Bonus material from books 1-7: Keatyn Unscripted #6.5 8) Fame (Captive Films: Season One #1-6) 9) Power (Captive Films: Season Two #1-3) 10) Money 11) Sex 12) Love
WARNING: The books do need to be read in order and once you start it is hard to stop.
TIP: If you're getting the Audio Books (which I highly recommend) you can get Books 1-3 and 4-6 in bundles so you get 6 books for just 2 credits!
I started this series a long time ago and I really enjoyed it but I think it’s been way too many years and I am so past these types of books. If you enjoyed the rest of the Keatyn Chronicles, you will probably like these continuations which focus on the whole group for the most part. You need to suspend belief to not roll your eyes at how much these characters can accomplish and control at such young ages (or at all). Just not my cup of tea anymore.
