The main reason for the one star--I feel cheated. The blurb for this book is very misleading. This is not a mystery, it's about journey of self-discovery.

The problem is that the way the main character, Ben, is written. At first I thought I was in the mind of a killer, it was written so coldly, and I was hoping the book would be a twisted journey into his mind as he lost his sanity.

Instead I got a story of how he met a beautiful girl (Joy) "fell in love" with her, travled around the world, did good deeds...then broke up with Joy. He went back to Africa, realized he loved her, proposed, and is content to put his social life on hold while she helps people. He then breaks up with Joy because she hasn't contacted him for months. Months later Ben finds out that Joy died along with a friend of theirs, but her ghost is still around, but only he can see her.

If you like stories about self-discovery, this would be a good book for you. I thought this was a mystery, and feel angry that this was so grossly mislabeled.

I may try something else by this author--I really did enjoy the story. I just wish the story would have been labled properly.

It was okay, not as good as the first book I read by her. It somewhat explained Ben's story. I did like the twist that Joy had died with Josh.
