True Ghost Stories: Frightening Accounts of Haunted Houses, Paranormal Mysteries, and Unexplained Phenomenon

Rate this book
True Ghost Stories is a collection of real and frightening paranormal accounts from real people. Each story is unique in its own personal experience and has been told to the author, Selinda Hart. Having worked as an investigator and as a researcher for the paranormal radio show “Tia Maria” she has brought together some of the best hauntings, accounts of paranormal mysteries, and true ghost stories in this collection. The sixteen stories in this book include diverse paranormal phenomenon and unexplained mysteries set in different locations in the United States, and one compelling frightening story from Spain. As one former skeptic reports from his scary experience, “I was never a believer in the paranormal and I thought ghosts were simply a figment of someone's overactive imagination. I no longer scoff at people who claim to see ghosts. I never found out who or what was haunting that house. But I wasn't going to stay and find out.” “The House off Greenville,” “Red Balloon,” “Ghost in the Bedroom,” and “Who’s been playing with my kids?” are real stories about events and paranormal activity that took place in the Dallas house where the author lived in as a single mom for over five years. Her children are grown now, but to this day they do not like talking about the strange activity and events that took place in that house. If you like reading scary stories, paranormal mysteries, and unexplained phenomenon, then “True Ghost Stories” will leave you with chills. So snuggle up, get under the covers and get ready for some serious goose bumps!

Truly enjoyed it!

Easy read, entertaining and I loved the local stories! Definitely will look for more books by Selinda. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. Had to stop and Google the locations. Next time I find myself in Galveston I will check the Tremont!

The use of the word frightening...

The use of the word frightening must be meant for school children. While the stories are short and we'll written. I can't say that I'll be hiding under the sheets as a result of them.
In short, if you are easily scared then this is a book for you. If not, I suggest to keep looking.

Entertaining enough. But there are a few stories which made me think that if you're going to make up a story and try to sell it to someone as something that actually happened you might want to make it sound less unbelievable. For example if the story you tell sounds exactly like an urban legend, it is going to sound like BS to most everyone who hears it.

Actual Ghost Stories

Loved reading the many mini experiences and the fact they are real experiences makes it better. Love the stories are true accounts. I would recommend if you have a short attention span because the stories get to the point yet have enough info for a visual picture.

Quick read

I chose this book because I am a paranormal addict. Unfortunately , it wasn't a book that was very memorable to me. I enjoyed the stories while I was reading them, but I'm sure tomorrow I won't recall a single one.

Short, easy read

Nice for a rainy...or better yet, a stormy...evening. It's a quick read though and won't last you more than that.

Easy reading

True paranormal accounts that leave you thinking. Not a frightening set of stories for most of the book. Realistic and relatable.

I expected more .On the dry side and overall not terribly scary at all. Hopefully other books will be better.

Good book

The book keeps the readers attention and stories are interesting. In fact my only complaint is that the book was to short.
