Lynn Hagen loves writing about the somewhat flawed, but lovable. She also loves a hero who can see past all the rough edges to find the shining diamond of a beautiful heart.
You can find her on any given day curled up with her laptop and a cup of hot java, letting the next set of characters tell their story.
I want to say AWESOME.. but nope I can't. I just really can't get into the menage scene anymore, especially with blood relatives involved? Just, ewwww. At least with three unrelated males you can have any and all combos but unless ya wanna go with some twincest action there's only so much to do.
As storyline goes, Ethan as big bad running the town predator didn't quite follow through. He more or less seemed like a predator that is actually intimidated by someone who doesn't back down like he expects. Plus I'm not sure I cared for how the twins handle him and where its left off at the end of the first book. But gotta go somewhere and have something to take care of in the future.
Keep having all of these Brac kids mentioned and some of them at least will be joining the new pack. I simply can not remember ALL of the kids since there's so many Brac couples.. would be nice to have a family tree as a reminder.
All in all a fairly good start to a new generation but perhaps I'm spoiled but there are some bumps in this road...
If you enjoy, rushed written insta-love books ^^^ this book is for you. But as for me I do NOT like that at all! Seriously all this book did was annoy me. I've tried reading books written by this author before but I cannot enjoy them, these seem very rushed and the characters not quite developed. With this book I was very uncomfortable, and not cause of the twins having to share a mate and having to get all close and personal, Ive read quite a couple books before this where it has been a menage with blood siblings apart of it. What made me uncomfortable was how the twins treated sam, honestly felt like they were assholes and I didnt really enjoy the relationship if thats what you could even call it, that they were trying to build with sam and that scene in the hardware store with the swan honestly made me shake my head and want to stop reading the book. As I continued to read it honestly didn't get better it made me feel annoyed and really awkward. Over this book was definitely NOT for me.
I liked the story just fine but ehm I wasn't feeling the mating it seemed very awkward too me to be sharing a mate with your twin brother, also in Zeus's pack were their are 3 way matings "(or whatever they're called) they are usually not related to each other which makes the mating seem more real and the sex way hotter 2 me! I dunno but you... but I felt sorry for Sam his first time and to have 2 wolf shifters pop your cherry hmm nope not sexy at all...
Good start to a spinoff series. Smart move to have Maverick show up, even though he really didn't do anything! Of course I'll keep reading, hopefully we'll get a bead on the time line, as we've obviously moved forward many, many years into the 'Brac Family' universe!
Disappointed. Since the twins were born I looked forward to their future and honestly, they were so bland. Also, this is not a menage a trois, is a polyamorous relationship in V, because the twins are not involver with each other, THANKS GOD. didn't like that they had the same mate, didn't like that Matthew was basically a caveman with all his stupid man ego. nope, didn't enjoy it.

Hot, twin, alpha wolf shifters, Matthew and Maddox, find their mate in the new town they've set up shop in. Sam is a virgin human just looking for a good time, instead he finds Matthew and Maddox who first scare teh crap out of him and then mate him without telling him. But he soon falls in line, enjoys the sex and helps them bring down the town psycho and his own ex, Ethan.
This was some decent smut, but fell short for me in several places. First was the sheer number of names and the references to the previous series (to which this is a sequel) which I did not read. So I didn't know who the characters were and kept getting confused with all the names. I obviously missed out on some rules and explanations...like how all these gay men had babies. Is there a way for gay men to reproduce without a female in this particular series?
As for the story itself - eh. Sam does not maintain his anger after being terrified and deceived by these guys and that was disappointing. He fell into it and accepted the craziness way too fast. Lots of insta-love here too.

This was such an incredible read. Dalton Falls is a very intriguing town full of elves, shifters, fairies, etc...who can live freely without hiding who they are. Sam is a human who comes across his mates who are twins, Maddox and Matthew (wolves, Matthew as alpha). Sam is reluctant at first since his ex boyfriend is also a predator (Bengal Tiger), Ethan, and is clearly a very wretched person. The banter between Maddox and Matthew was absolutely hilarious. They had me laughing out loud so many times in the story. :) I couldn't put this book down. I am definitely going to read as much of this series as possible. I'm also enjoying the, "Christian's Coven", series. This was a sultry, and untamed read and I was totally immersed in the story from beginning to end. The characters were also very well depicted and I found them to be unequivocally compelling. :) Love this author.
First off, another shrinking violet mate, same as most of the others in the later Brac stories. The only masculine mates I can remember are George, Nicholas and Lewis from the original Brac series. Most of the rest are females in male bodies. They are even tiny like most females. When will this author realize that we want real men?
This book also could have used a good proof reader. Lots of misspellings and incorrect use of contractions.
I really hated the mean-spirited prank the the twins played on Sam the first time he met them. They aren't very likeable most of the time. I sure hope that this series improves.
I started this book this morning and finished it not 10 mins ago. Great story. I loved all the flirting between Matthew, Maddox and Sam. All the quips and even the arguing was great. We won't even get into the more intimate parts..those were just...wow! I loved Paden and Dennis. They are amazingly sarcastic and hysterical. I so look forward to , hopefully, seeing them find mates in future books. Seeing Maverick and a lot of the rest of the gang was, as I always say, such a treat. Wonderfully written, flow was also great and it kept me glued to my kindle to the last word!
very disappointed with this one. was hoping for characters that I could like, twins felt forced and all the big hairy ass got old quick. kinder gentler Matt the stronger alpha, the byplay with the swan? wtf you have found your mate but still flirt. I actually stopped reading lh way back when brac village was on bk 4 or bk 5. thought I'd give this series a try...think I'll pass on reading any more. maybe I could have rated it higher if there had been one character that I felt a connection to and one liked. alas, that did not happen..
This was a let down after having read quite a few of her previous books. The characters aren't as likable. I didn't really feel as if the author put much effort into the story. It was formulaic and shallow. I know the other books were shallow but this one just felt...less. I did enjoy Sam and his friends but it just feels like the author mixed up her other books and took a little of that one and a little of this one and set it up in a different local. It is too bad since I did enjoy her books.
I gave up on the "old gen" of the Brac Pack quite a long time ago but I figured I could give the "next gen" a try. It wasn't a bad read per se, but almost no conflict ended in a proper pay off. Twins treat the MC badly - he forgives them after some sweet-talking, twins claim the MC without his consent - he comes back to them after venting to his friends for half an hour, the big bad is supposed to have the whole city behind him - the confrontation is concluded within minutes.
It was a four star book for me right up until the ending. Literally the entire climax starts and ends in the last six pages. -.- So...a little rushed. But otherwise the story was good and I can't wait to read the next ones. The characters all seem lovable and I'm glad she's continuing this world. Although I did feel like Lynn Hagen has something against virgins in the book...and I just kind of want to say to the world: wait until you're ready, it's no biggie.
I have enjoyed the Brac Pack and this follow on series looks as if it will live up to how much I enjoyed that series of books. I hope the "old folks" will continue to drop in. Would miss the Cecil and Johnny trouble. Look forward to the next book, hope that's not too long. And if you have never read the Brac Pack Read you will enjoy.
I feel like there isn't enough...story or plot or something on this book.
Matthew is more like a passive alpha to me. Personally I think Maddox would have been a better alpha, although if they're both alpha's at this new town then forget I said that.
So disappointed with this, not really a ménage when 2 of the 3 don't have sex together IMO. It felt like Sam wasn't given any choice in the mating and also he was used to release pressure in Matthew. Just hope the series gets better as I usually enjoy Lynn Hagen's characters
It is one of the best books that Lynn, Wrote and I can see myself reading it over and over again. I love Lynn Hagen's writing. It had me on the edge of my seat most of the time, and cant wait to read the next installment.
I love the new series meeting all the kids all grown up. Matthew and Maddox were fun and sexy, Sam their mate was adorable and sweet. The plot was moderately paced with plenty of excitement.
I enjoy the ongoing of the Brac Pack and am looking forward to more stories.
I just listened to the audio book for this story and it was AWFUL! The narrator was a woman who spoke the part of all the leads who were male. This just doesn't work. Terrible match up of vocal talent to the roles.
This wasn't very good....it was good seeing some of the kids grown up but I wanted more from the plot....and I didn't see Alpha in Matthew.... And the ending was like WTF.... I love this authors work so I will definitely continue the series.... I know it will get better....
Love these stories Lynn Hagen. The way she makes man love so beautiful is beyond me. Can’t wait for more although I would love to see more of the shadow tribe!!!
