Born and raised in the agricultural midwest, I moved every year after school even as far as Shanghai before settling down with my wife in Chicago.

I have always enjoyed Wuxia stories and became thrilled when I discovered harem stories spreading to western books. I've written down my day dreams for years as an idle hobby. Inspired by the harem genre I'm finally fleshing them out into full blown novels.

I'm excited to share my stories with you as I turn them into novels and series.

Yeah, now I'm sure. Sentar need a break, he's creativity bankrupt.

A good if slightly slower paced entry.

I’m enjoying the series so far. It’s got some different styles of doing things compared to previous books by Bruce, but it’s not bad.
Also for this book in particular it is mentioned in the after word regarding being stuck on the planet etc and it makes sense for a setup later on in the story.

The slower pacing is for me a bit of a love hate thing, mainly in that when it’s faster we get to the good bits quicker, but then consequently when we get to those good bits it’s more impactful/rewarding- in general anyway. All that’s to say, for the most part I’m liking the style for now.

The main LI here is fun and I like the dynamics so far with all the other crew. Plenty of development on a couple of the characters, and you can see there’s more being setup for the rest.
There wasn’t much, if any development on Raydens overarching story except for a *tiny* tease at the very end, though I am excited to see the results of what happened at the end of the book. It felt sorely needed.

So long story short; book is good, I recommend, and I look forward to the next one.

The story is still great, and the immense power imbalance between the MC and two of the characters is maintained well.

Sadly something has gone weird on the editting side. Chapters 28-32 are out of order. The MC has a few chapters where he only seems capable of chuckling when speaking or at others actions. It is a shame as it really sticks out in an otherwise polished book.

Still hoping for the 3rd book, but I can't bring myself to give it 5 stars, especially with how polished this Sentar books usually are.

Worth the wait

I love the way Bruce is doing this series so far, its a bit slower in the story department but thats fine, it just means hopefully we will get many books out of this series. Although it's slow in the over aching story, this book still had plenty of action with more of the characters we learned to love in the first one. I also appreciate that some of the women might have a some screws loose, it makes the book that much more interesting. I'll be looking forward to the next one.

Pacing and editing could have used some more time. I'd say it's on par with the first, just a different setting, I'm interested in the potential still, you can see the author teasing more magic/biotech to it. It's still has that Sentar feeling to the characters, so comfort, but not alot of novelty, many reused tropes from other series just with a different setting. Not sure how I felt about seeing the authors name sprinkled throughout it lol.

Sorry Bruce 😕

I didn't mind book one, not fantastic but not too bad. Probably me suffering from Ard withdrawal. But, I'm afraid book two is .....well boring. Trapped on a planet fighting criminals, I'm sure I've read virtually the exact scenario several times, though done better.
I can't get into the characters. The MC is lacklustre, nothing comes through of his personality. The others, apart from Lilly are just cardboard. Sorry Bruce, not for me. I'll wait for the next DD.

Well that escalated quickly

So the first Immortal Human (double reference there, iykyk) in the making, a possible clue to the prologue of book 1 and a crazy shadow government controlling the fluffies. Nothing's ever simple in the wider universe, now we gotta hope ol Rayden can step up. Very impressive flying though, so at least he fullfilled one of his goals.

a really original story

Like many of you, I read a lot; and it’s rare to come across something that is unique, original, enjoyable, well written, and fun to read… That’s what this series is.

so many words with little action

Book two quickly devolved into a bunch of useless dialogue with most of it just bickering. The male mc is too much like all the other author’s mc’s like Ard and nothing fresh. It sure doesn’t help that I can’t stand Lily.

forming up to be a great series

The captain is building a very diverse crew. A Helvore, a Devine, a doctor (who is much more than she seems, a baby black hole, and a dragon(who eats battleships). It seems the Galaxy had better watch out. Looking forward to book three.

fun book!

This was a good read, love the different races and the crew feels like real people. Love where the story is going and I can’t wait to see what Lily does to him. I wanna know when he will open up to them about his past.

I really enjoyed this entry. While the crew was planetbound for repairs, we learned more about Violet and other crew members. Also what may have happened to get Rayden where he is. At least a hint.a

Interesting developments and plot

Book 2 has a lot going on. We get to learn a lot more about Kikai culture and about Violet. Lots of relationship progress. Some good action sequences. This one was very fun. Looking forward to book 3!

not bad I guess?

Hopefully more happens next book and it’s not entirely just one planet again. Character growth/design was solid but the rest was just average all around

He's a really unlikeable main character. Just a great big honking drongo. Everyone's a bit of a dip in these, to be honest. I didn't find much to enjoy.
