Sweet, cozy and warm. Magical, funny, and just gives you all the good feels.
Lucie and Kazrian story had me from the start. The Honeycomb and all the magical baking elements. I always enjoy hearing about the pixies, the brownies and the sprites. And there is no Bloomhaven without Lady Rivenna (a complete plot twist with her I did not see coming). I do believe she is getting soft in her old age.
I loved, loved Balthazar and his whole demeanor. Mr grumpy cat. I really enjoyed the role he played and how protective he was.
Once again the world building in this series is truly amazing and captivating.
We definitely need more men like Kazrian in the world. He is a gentleman and he fixes things. I mean.... what more do we need.
The yearning always always delivers. The want and the staring. Showing up for her whenever is needed. The confessions that always sound like poetry.
I did miss hearing or reading about the rest of Bloomhaven. Alot of the story was based at the honeycomb.
But most of it was from Lucie's POV and she is human. So we got to experience a different side of Bloomhaven.
It was a great read with a beautiful ending.

I'm in shock.
That was so much more exquisitely emotionally heart-wrenching than I ever anticipated, and the warmth of the setting made me feel like I was living in a honey-drenched bakery. This series just gets better and better and better!

What a heartwarming story—I loved this book, yet another in this series that’s definitely one of my favorites now.
I was so excited that these two characters got their happy ending! So many years of “secret” love—because they thought they were hiding their feelings well, haha—and I’m so pleased with how it all turned out.
Sweet, sweet Kazrian! He’s a wonderful guy—a total cinnamon roll—smart, kind, and very chivalrous. And he loved Lucie so much, it almost hurt. He won my heart.
And Lucie—she’s lovely and adorable, and she goes through a journey that leads her to realize that most of the time, we put the pressure and high expectations on ourselves. And that you don’t need to be perfect to be valued and loved.
Some people might not like the story’s pace, since it’s slower, but in this case I think it works, because it’s about rebuilding a relationship that ended painfully—and after years, it starts to come back together little by little, since at first Kazrian and Lucie feel very fragile and cautious around each other.
There was so much YEARNING in this story... And that’s something I love about these books—they’re very sweet, but not in a cloying way; instead, they make you feel deeply and SWOON over the romance! 🫠 *sigh of tenderness*
Another thing I appreciate about this author is how she weaves the stories together starting from the first book in the series, with small details that we later see in subsequent books. You can tell that everything is perfectly organized.
I really enjoyed seeing the other beloved characters in this family and getting a glimpse of how their stories continue. Although I missed seeing Aurelise and Ryder! They’re my favorites so far, but they’re only mentioned in passing.
Lady Rivenna and Balthazar (the cat) are great, and I really enjoyed their dynamic. Obviously, they exist on a higher level than the rest haha.
I’m totally excited for the next book, and I CAN’T WAIT to read Rosavyn’s story!! And I hope I’m right in my guess about who the mmc will be 🤞🏻

The slow burn could NOT have been better. I loved how Lucie's work was as important to her as Kazrian was. It wasn't just about the romance, but her feeling accepted in a society that usually treated people like her as outcasts.
Lady Rivenna was spectacular per usual, and I liked Kazrian way better than I expected to.

This may be my favorite story in the series so far. I really enjoyed the time jump element in this book. It wasn’t a huge detail, but I think it felt more realistic that the siblings weren’t finding their happiness one right after the other each season, as if taking turns. I also think it did a good job at setting up the initial conflict/awkwardness between Lucie and Kazrian. I enjoyed seeing the various earlier couples throughout this book, even though Aurelise and Ryden were only there in mentions. I also loved how clueless both Lucie and Kazrian were when it came to how obvious their feelings had been to the others in the Rowanwood family throughout the years. I think it was sweet as well that while Lucie’s family wasn’t originally aware, they supported her with little objection (once they saw them together). Henry was an absolutely well-done horrible character. Though I do wish we had gotten to see him fall a little further from grace.

The writing was whimsical, funny, sweet and touched on important subjects like class difference, accepting people for who they are, societal expectations, etc. 💛 I loved how it was human and fae falling in love but I will say that I expected more drama because of this. Certain scenes and time jumps felt too abrupt for me, I would've loved a 'longer' book to draw out the scenes. I enjoyed seeing the story from Lucie's POV though and experiencing this world through her 'human-ness.' A unique story with a very sweet ending! 🍯🐝💛

Rachel Morgan, you've ruined my life.
How am I supposed to be productive and continue on in life when this series exists??
Much less, how did I live so long without these books in my life???????????
As soon as the first chapter of Hearts & Honey Light graced my imagination, I felt like I was stepping back into a home. Familiar faces, familiar wit, my word, I had stars in my eyes. Even though it's only been a few months since I last read a book from this series, I had forgotten how much I missed these characters.
Before I dive into the plot and character, may I say how good Rachel Morgan is at writing wholesome familial/friendship/romantic moments? Often, these sort of situations can be cringey, but Rachel Morgan doesn't write them like that. They're just sweet and funny, and they ulitmatley capture the tender and hysterical emotions inside of my heart.
Not to mention her characters, they're all so unique and captivating laugh-sobs
Okay now, onto the actual story ehehehe
Oh Kazrian, my poor, sweet, clumsy, cinnamon roll. All this fae lord ever wanted was to love Lucie and he couldn't do that for three friggin' years and he thought it was all his fault!?!!? Cinnamon roll indeed.
And Lucie... well mah girl is too concerned over what other people think. But I loved how Lady Rivenna showed her that people's opinions, outside of close family and friends, matters little. Lucie struggles with worth and anxiety issues, and the anxiety part is especially relatable to myself. Panic attacks don't just happen in Bloomhaven, but Lucie had Kazrian, which made it all better smirks
And of course, Balthaszar (iykyk).
Congrats Rachel Morgan, you've offically created a character I despise more than anyone in this series (even more than Mariselle's family).

The ONE thing that could've made this book better would've been a more emotionally intense love confession. I loveeeeedddd all of the romantic tension, but it kinda fell off after Lucy and Kazrian realized that they both may still have feelings for each other (spoiler alert, they do). I felt like the love confession was just a little too flat compared to the tension the rest of the book had.
This is a little bonus rant on one of my favorite characters from the entire series so prep your teacups, faes and peeps.
Rosavyn. I am Rosavyn and Rosavyn is me. I love her to death. And now that her and Hadrian's (been team Rodrian since book 1) story has been confirmed (finally!!) for book 5, I have SO many theories. But one of the main things is that something dark is coming to this sweet series and Rosavyn will somehow be involved.
And I have so many other theories, but if I don't shut up, the hearth sprites are going to throw me into the fireplace, guaranteed.
I CANNOT WAIT FOR BOOK 5, RACHEL MORGAN, PLEASE RELEASE THE SYNOPIS SOON, AND MORE NOVELLAS TO HOLD ME OVER UNTIL NOVEMBER!!!!!

This book… this one got me and gave me all the feels… some would say the vibes were on point. Maybe it is because we are four books in and the reader has a relationship with all the characters in the book but I could not remove myself from Kazrian and Lucie’s story. If you have read the last three books, you know that this book is a culmination of the dance that Kazrian and Lucie has been participating in since the beginning… however, Lucie comes from a human family that has had a negative experience with family loving outside their station. And Kazrian… well, Kazrian is outside of her station. BUT… it’s Kazrian. I don’t know how to explain any of the plot line without giving away some of the twists and turns so I will just do my best to describe the feelings in this story….
This story is “golden hour” encompassed into a book… a fresh book with sprayed edges on your shelf or a warm cup of tea/coffee in the morning. It is the embodiment of dreams coming true without ignoring the hard things that come with those dreams. And it is because of that, you really just wish, with all her faults that Lady Rivenna had chosen you to be apart of her family.

My least favorite due to toxic masculinity
My least favorite of the series. I'm not sure why the author felt the need to introduce abusive, toxic masculinity into an otherwise charming series, but it ruined it for me. The plotline did not need that in order for it to work and it brought an icky feeling into a series that has always felt cozy, light and humorous. 2.5 stars

I was really looking forward to this book since books 1-3 were so good. I found myself a bit disappointed though because it felt like this book went through too many highs and lows. There were points I was unable to put it down but then there were other points where I felt I was dragging or had already read a similar passage earlier in the book. I felt like there was a good chunk of fluffing for the sake of page count since it didn’t add more to the story.
Here is the spoiler part. My biggest issue is that it felt as though there were 2 plots overlapping and so the author had to find a way to satisfying tie it together. The resolutions then came from her mother and Lady Rivenna and it felt as though the MMC was an afterthought. Not quite a 3rd act break up, but a 3rd act separation that then needed the ABSOLUTE NO QUESTIONS ASKED blessing from everyone before they were able to continue. (This was at least 3-4 different chapters of acceptance including one from a random side character barely introduced). And the biggest “I love you moment” that should’ve had the emotional pay off of the waiting and pining was through a letter the MMC wrote, not even an in person declaration.
Was the book good? Objectively yes. But I do feel for my own tastes that it didn’t quite hit the emotional notes I was hoping for with characters who had been pining for each other for such a long time.

If there is one thing Rachel Morgan does best, it’s worldbuilding that doesn’t feel like work to read 👏
In the fourth instalment of The Charmed Leaf Legacy Series we follow Lucy, a humand; and Kazrian, a fae lord as they navigate their long and complicated history. There is yearning, there is drama, there is a cat, there is a whole new piece of the Bloomhaven puzzle unlocked with the exploration of The Honeycomb (which comes with a whole set of drama on its own).
I enjoyed Lucy’s character and thought process and the exploration of her anxiety was extremely relatable. Whereas Kazrian is the perfect eye of the storm. I also loved seeing Lady Reveena show her more compassionate side, it shows how far she’s come since the Tempests & Deals books.

I am absolutely in love with this series and have read all 4 books in a week 😂 this book didn’t quite connect with me like the others did though. We get glimpses of Kazrian and Lucie and their friendship in the other books, so this one felt like a second chance friends-to-more. The first half was kind of slow moving for me though and felt more like an instruction manual for fixing broken magical kitchens haha. It also felt like there was a huge miscommunication that the characters would not resolve beyond feeling awkward around each other for most of the book. But the second half was so good and quickly fell in love with both characters! I absolutely cannot WAIT for Rosavyn & Hadrian in the next book!!!

Rachel Morgan does it again! This book lifts the Charmed Leaf Legacy to even more charming heights. I just can’t get over how much I love this series. Kazrian and Lucie are adorable in the extreme. Lady Rivenna’s sweet plans for Lucie made me feel all the feels! The writing is so effervescent yet comfortable…the world building and the weaving of the story through all the books seems flawless. I love reading details that I know will show up again later, and cameos from past favorites. I can’t wait for book #5!

3.5. A little different than the others in this series as far as the development of the storyline goes, but not in a bad way. Endearing how long these two loved each other. To me, there was very, very little tension in the plot, if any, because it was just SO clear exactly how they felt the whole time. Which is equal parts beautiful and non-engaging. However, if you know someone studying for the bar exam, this is a good series to read. Precious and kind to the brain.

above and beyond in making this story feel safe
I read this book in a day, as it was much better than I expected. I’ve been enjoying this series, but I was a little reluctant to read a forbidden love sort of entry. But Rachel Morgan went above and beyond in making this story feel safe while also exploring the reality of prejudice. Add to that the delicious-sounding confections, and I can see myself coming back more than once to this book.
I read this book in a day, as it was much better than I expected. I’ve been enjoying this series, but I was a little reluctant to read a forbidden love sort of entry. But Rachel Morgan went above and beyond in making this story feel safe while also exploring the reality of prejudice. Add to that the delicious-sounding confections, and I can see myself coming back more than once to this book.

This story was adorable and warm and filled with so much (honey) light! Though slow-moving at times, the story was adorably cozy nonetheless and a joy to read.

This was a charming and delightful story! Each book in this series has gotten better and better. I am anxiously awaiting the release date for Rosavyn’s story (not until November 😭).

This is my favorite one of the series so far! I love Lucie (haha), and she has been the most relatable character for me. All of the books are just so whimsical and feel good.

Another sweet love story that takes place primarily in a kitchen setting? Yes, please! The dialogue was again leaps and bounds better than the first two in being more natural and I guess more normal for a regency-esque book.
