A good read, a bit predictable

4 stars kept me reading, tho it's not a page turner. One slight surprise but I'm the end, almost done as the first book. Not sure I need to pay for number 3.

I liked Giving better than Killing and here's a short but about why.


First of all- the ending! While Killing Chase ended abruptly and kind of left you feeling uninformed, Giving Chase ended in a "oh my goodness" heart stopping scene.
(I've already sent out an email about book 3, if it hasn't happened/isn't being written I'll be filing a formal complaint :) )

Giving Chase was action packed from the very beginning and didn't really stop! It was pretty awesome.

There were many chapters where the narrator was anonymous until almost the end, and while it was a bit annoying it gave the book a sense of suspense and had you eager to figure out who was 'talking'.

This novel also threw in more than its fair share of surprises! The last few chapters were absolutely mind boggling, to say the least!!

It was a great read, and comes highly recommended:)

Giving Chase, by indie author, Ben Muse, is the 2nd book in the Chase Hampton story.
After the events on the Anchor Management (yacht) in Book 1, everyone thinks Chase is dead. He hides out with his former handler in witness protection (or is it?) An old enemy has tracked him down and now wants revenge. Full of twists and turns, this would be an excellent beach read. Ben is a better writer in this book. (Still a few extra cliches, but it's better)

After winning this book on Goodreads First Reads I was anxious to begin reading. What a ride! Excellent plot, excellent characters and an excellent author! I was truly engaged in this from beginning to end. I almost did not want the story to end! I highly recommend this book. This is a book I can read again and again to "follow the Chase" all over again.
