The book was very well written and fast paced! The author created a world that I enjoyed and made seem real which is why I gave 5 stars. However, I am disappointed. I dedicated my time into reading 4 great books and the 5th was great but a disappointment. It was a tragedy all key characters died with no happy ending and no real closure. The ending doesn't always had to be happy but I think it should leave the reader satisfied in some sort of way. I wasted my time and I feel like I read all 4 books to be let down in the end. The author has to redeem herself by bringing Farren back or something. Greg the snake lived. Her mother knows more. All of her loved ones died including innocent Ashley. Her babies are left with no one. Kim deceived her, Mario is confused. I think overall, there could have been a better turn of events.
(╯°□°)╯︵ 💔💥💣 WHEN I SAY I’M STRESSED… I MEAN IT! 😭😭😭
Farren Knight said, “Soft girl era? Never heard of her.” This woman came back cold, bitter, and dangerous—and I ate up every page. 😩🔥
From the very first chapter, I could tell Nako wasn’t playing with us this round. The love? Gone. The heart? Shattered. The revenge? LOUD. Farren wasn’t the same woman we met in book one—she’s giving “you hurt me, now everybody gotta die.” 💅🏽💣
Every twist had me like 😳 Wait… WHO DID WHAT? Then I’d blink and boom—another betrayal, another death, another reason for me to clutch my invisible pearls. Nako didn’t even give me a chance to breathe!
Greg and Kim? Oh, I want them dead dead. 🫠 Kool? I had hope, but whew… lies everywhere. Jonte? Sir, please—go sit down and heaux in peace.
By the end, I was pacing like I was in the story myself. Farren’s evolution from heartbroken to heartless is both tragic and boss-level iconic. I felt every ounce of her pain, and I can’t even be mad at the path she chose.
This one was dark, emotional, bloody, and addictive. The Cartel wasn’t ready. I wasn’t ready. But here we are.

Now wait one doggone minute! The ending has me sooo anxious! I feel bad for Farren, she literally lost just about everyone she loved. No way my girl went out like that. 😤I really trusted Kool was the one but nope, and Jonte couldn’t keep his hands clean to save his life. But Greg and Kim, I want their heads on a platter, immediately!!
I'm giving this book one star, but I give books 1-4, five stars because they were awesome. This one felt rushed, storyline incomplete. Killing off the main characters was ridiculous, then with no explanations really. Greg lives??? Why??? Asia lives??? Why??? What secret is it that Farren's mom is holding? Too many loopholes, just an incomplete story.. I'm very disappointed.
THIS BOOK LEFT SO MANY UNANSWERED QUESTIONS.GREG IS A PURE ASSHOLE & BACKSTABBER.I EXPECTED MORE FROM THAT CONFRONTATION BETWEEN FARREN & MARI. I NEED ANSWERS ABOUT NAKIA. NAKO WHERE IS PART 6?? HURRY.
Widely shocked! I made the error if reading the whole Underworld series and then reading The Connect's Wife. So needless to say I am flabbergasted and she'll shocked. Amazing book. I need to keep reading.
Well........ Where do I start? One thing I love about this author is that her books are far from predictable. Christian is still selfish. Jonte was tired I guess. How many times you gotta tell your girl to come home?? So he of course started doing him. Farren was selfish and naive. Girl you knew what you was getting into! She just needed to stay busy. Farren can’t sit still for NOTHIN! She has to be on the go at all times. Honestly, she definitely put her family on the back burner this book. Um.... I really don’t know what to expect in book 6 because who is it going to be about? 😂😂 Anywho, on to the Chanel Cavette story!
This had to be the best out of the series. Book 5 was filled with so many losses. So many unsuspected twists. My biggest hurt was Jonte. I had visioned something do different for him. Greg deserves to be in the hottest of hells. The way he snaked the people closest to him was crazy. Farren has been taking loss after loss and over time I’ve watched her grow colder and colder. She always knew trust her gut feeling and she trusted it til the end. I know she’s going to come back stronger and I know she won’t be the same AT ALL! Book 6 should be called Farren reloaded
Farren definitely had her priorities mixed up but when did Jonte become this person? Like I’m not understanding. He was telling Farren the same thing Christian told her. Like Christian was always slick but Jonte was always 100. Maybe he became insecure with Farren not being around but it’s like a flip switched. Jontae said he would leave before he hurt her but he didn’t. I don’t like that. Did he only try to make up with her so he could get access to drugs? I’m very sad that Jonte died. Farren can’t catch a break. It was definitely a few bombs that I didn’t expect.
Good Lord!! This book just kept coming with the hits. I mean people are dying who I did not expect to die. There seem to be all kinds of storylines going on. This book mesmerized me to the point I only put it down to go to the bathroom and sleep.d6.
I am gleefully looking forward to Part 6. I need to be mesmerized again and again!! Kudos to an amazing author.
Nako, this series gets crazier and crazier. Every turn, Farren makes more twists, and turns are coming out. From one snake to the next, this stuff just keeps coming out. These snakes are something else. Farren didn't realize how much damage she had done in the name of honoring her father's request.
Darren has grown so much since book 1, but in this one she went through hell and back. She lost almost everyone that was close to her. This series has been full of deceit and surprises. One thing for sure is that you can never get away from The Cartel.
Amazing caught me off guard what a twist . I don't believe it and will have to read on. Darren was slipping and that was not her. Jonte was to smart for him to be caught slipping. Love that she tied up why the Cartel was willing to accept her.
I wanna know if she's really dead. It can't end like this what's going to happen next. It was a very good read and I hate the fact that Jonte didn't make it. I hope Greg gets what he deserves. And what is her mother really hiding.
Sad how Christian die by the hands of his friend. Real messed up how jonte die and low and be hold Mari was a snake ass bitch too. Wowwww . It’s just sad that everyone you would have thought would of survived is dead .
The story was action packed all the way through. Very fast paced read. It’s a whirlwind for sure. The death toll is high and now we got a new person coming to the forefront...let me go and meet Chanel
Absolutely loved it! Nako took us on a trip with this one. I didn’t know if I wanted to be mad, sad or happy. Really enjoyed it, looking forward to reading the next one.
Book 5 has really turnt it up, it's so many twist and turns my head is spinning!!!! I'm like Farren, I dont trust nobody either!!!! Well, lets see what Chanel us about!!!!
Um Nako, wthhhhhh ! I’m mind blown right now. I wasn’t ready for everybody to die. Ugh I’m hoping Ms. Nakia is some kind of ninja and GON kill Mfkers for playing with hers.
