Easily the best book for Father’s I have ever read. This book is raw and Michael O’Brien invites you into the redemptive role of Fatherhood better than anyone else I have read. Every single dad should read this book.

Yet another great Michael O'Brien book. This one is a collection of articles and short essays dealing particularly with family life and fatherhood, with O'Brien writing about his own experiences as a father and having a family. He delves into the messiness and beauty of families and shows how they are the place to encounter God.

At times, the author is raw and inspiring. At other times, his holiness seems unattainable. He can tend to be pessimistic at times in the book, often in regards to the world we live in and the future. However, he offers relatable stories and very valuable insight for fatherhood and parenthood in general. Would recommend for parents, especially ones with young children.
