NOTE. This is not the book I read, I read Tempus by Morris but cannot find it on Goodreads
I am so sorry. Normally I would have loved this book but at times you simply read the right book at the wrong time and this is what happened here.
I never got myself caught up in the story. I also could not connect with the characters while I should have been able to.
It felt for me as if the book dragged but again, I think I simply read it at the wrong time.
