Zero star, filling book. Now I understand why the author keep her hot/sex scenes as an almost non existent in the books.I can't remember when if I ever read a sex scene so anticlimactic in all the books I read.
SPOILERS - And for the grand finale of a cliffhanger, the cherry on top, a BIG cliche: the H invested in the heroine's business to win a bet. Laughable, how hurt the h was, if the woman herself had huge doubt she could find a good soul to throw money in a uncertain business. Counting she used to make her criations in her small apartment in a no so good neighborhood. She should raise her hands to heaven,lit up a thousand candles and give thanks that a bet led someone to help her open her store. Lame, lame lame.
And reading reviews for 3rd book, I know h and H will spend more than half of the book apart because the hurt/betrayed little girl won't listen to the H's excuses/explanation.
Sometimes I wonder how an author of the female kind can write heroines so dumb, stupid and immature. This is an offense to the feminist in me (and I confess I am not a strong feminine in the slightest, actually, I am a week one).

Asher. Jeez, what am I going to do with you? Well??
Picking up with Kate and Asher hard at work bringing Kate's dream of a lingerie line to life, The Billionaire Game 2 was a definite step-up from Part One. I enjoyed the first one well enough to want to read on, but admittedly wasn't wowed by it. And while I wouldn't say I was wowed by this one either, I did like it a whole lot.
Asher had more dimension this time around and although some of his irksome, asshole tendencies remained, it was clearer and easier to see why Kate would find him appealing.
Kate was still a little troublesome for me -- perhaps her insecurities about herself are fueling mine? I couldn't get a read on her friendship with Lacey (what kind of BFFs think that wedding dress shopping is anything but a given?) and I just couldn't quite connect with her. But I wanted to! Oh, how I wanted to.
The Billionaire Game 2 definitely had more spark and scorch. It came *ahem* fast -- I was expecting more focus on an 'event' that had just occurred -- so I was struck a little dumb by the timing of it but I can't, nay, I won't deny that the dirty parts were hella hot. Whew!
I loved the ending here too. It was a major improvement over the soft ending in the first book, and while I did suspect what was going to happen, Ms. Monroe did a great job of the reveal and definitely left me wanting more.
So, bring on The Billionaire Game 3 and more Asher...I need to know where this is going to go from here! ~ Beth, 4 stars

The first novel in this three part series was a great builder for what I hoped would come in the second installment. While it was a great story, it seemed as though it was filler for Part Three.
Throughout the novel, Kate was running around trying to meet an intense deadline that her business partner forced upon her. Their constant bickering and sexual tension seemed to be a common appearance. In the last chapter, the author decides to add a twist but that is where the excitement ends.
While I enjoyed it, if I was a buying customer, I would be annoyed that I'd have to wait another week to get some gain on the story. ~ Kelly, 3 stars

I got to 70% but I was unable to complete this book. The further into it I got the more I was losing the will to live. I didn't like the characters, the story wasn't good enough to hold my attention, I was really bored by the whole thing which is why I DNF and will not bother to read the third instalment.

We have to talk about the cliffy first. Why? BECAUSE WE HAVE TO.
I should have known that Lila was going to lift me up only to cut the rope to let me swing in the wind. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. But for whatever reason, I wasn’t expecting that massive cliffy that had me contemplating the best way to wipe that smirk off of Asher’s face. I had just finished fanning myself when all hell broke loose. After the stunt he pulled, I wanted to shove Asher’s face between my legs and then slap him when he finished. And then head out to the store to buy Kate a gallon of ice cream and a basket of action movies because I’ve decided that she and I are now fictional bff’s. Right now SHE NEEDS ME. Fuck it all to hell.
Ok. got that out. now on to the rest of the book.
Asher has a gift to make Kate’s blood pressure rise. She and Asher fight with the best of them and somehow Asher always knows what to say to get under Kate’s skin. Of course, it’s pretty clear he’d prefer to be touching her skin any way that he can. Kate’s guilty of those impulses as well and has to give herself constant mental pep talks to force her hands not to stroke Asher’s face, or abs, or ANYTHING ELSE. This book is full of Lila Monroe’s trademark wit, humor and snark. Kate’s hilarious and the kind of girl I’d love to hang with. As I stated before: Fictional BFF’s.
I loved how Asher began to open up & we were able to see that there may be more behind those dark and mysterious eyes. Perhaps even *GASP!* a nice and caring person. Lila gives us just enough insight into Asher so when shit goes to hell at the end, you’re still left with an ounce of hope.
I’d be remiss not to mention that the SECKS is fantastic. It’s smutty deliciousness. YES, MORE PLEASE. As I always do – I’m so looking forward to the third installment in this fantastic series. lovelovelove!

This book had great stuff going for it, I enjoyed it less than book 1, I couldn't seem to engage in the story. Alot of things get compared to people, and those people I've never heard of in my life, and I wasn't going to sit and look up every name. It made it less readable to me. It was a steady 3.4 stars til the first sex scene came along. Oh boy. It started great then the female heroine says 'Call me bad names....Tell me I'm a bad bad girl.' ....No, just....too corny. I finished the book, but have decided not to review book 3.
This story wasn't for me, but others may enjoy it, and even find it humouress.

In book 2 we follow Kate and Asher as they work to get the lingerie shop up and running. What could go wrong?
The humor and wit are in full force. The emotion great. The sex is panty melting.
Asher is one sexy Billionaire. And have I mentioned how much I adore the nerdiness these two share?
The ending-- threw me off a cliff! WTH Lila?! That ending, however evil, works great and definitely has me eager to get my hands on book 3! I am desperate for more!

Yay finally some sexiness and fun and stress and OMG ASHER! Kate had her dreams coming true finally with the help of Asher, but she just can't seem to ignore his flirting and all his sexiness! She ends up getting what she wants but at a huge cost and Asher is to blame! Now what will she do?
I can't wait for the next book, I'm sooooo hooked and can't get enough of hot as sin Asher and loving Kate! An awesome read!!!

Eh... they started f****ing, but I really don't feel anything romantic happening between them.
Cliffhanger: H made a bet with his "friend" (they ARE NOT FRIENDS, these men high-key hate each other and are in a weird competition that may be one-sided) and h found out at the opening of her lingerie store. Did he ever really believe in her business? h never wants to see him again.
Although it must be said, I HATE her family omg.

Good addition to the serial
It's quick read and while I would have liked to have a little more of all of it, it still held its own in telling the next part of Late and Asher's tale. I'll definitely be finishing up the trilogy and now want to invest in some fancy lingerie too.

So in this installment, we have Kate working hard for her dream. And even Asher is working tremendously hard. He even pushes to have the store open earlier than Kate thought possible. Of course, Asher is still Asher in his cocky ways ;)
*He just couldn't help turning on the playboy routine the second he saw a skirt. It was maybe a little more irritating because I wouldn't have minded him taking me up on my offer.*
Kate does extremely well resisting Asher. She has her eyes on the prize. Her business. So no naughtiness will happen between her and Asher... I guess we will see ;) lol. But Kate does notice a change in Asher. He is more tired and he definitely has mood swings. What's going on in his head? In this volume, I was torn between loving and hating Asher.
Why you might ask? Well.... in one instance, Asher would be unbelievably adorable and compassionate. And then in the next, he is a total a-hole -_- He is making all sorts of decisions without Kate and moving deadlines! But to Kate's credit, she takes it in her stride and refuses to let anything faze her. She is a determined woman and won't let anything stop her. At one point, you think you'll learn why Asher is having these mood swings but each time, there's an interruption. And Brody, a friend of Asher's... he keeps showing up. What is he up to???
There are some funny and hot moments between Asher and Kate. My favourite happening on a boat ;)
*So I did the only conceivable thing I could do to save us both from our impending terrible decision and the impacts on our business. I pushed him into the ocean.*
LOL. Kate is classic! And once again, I love her relationship with Lacey. Those two ladies are a riot! :) The ending will have you holding your breath! I was shocked but I should have known something wasn't quite right! But what will happen now? How will it all end? Will Kate get everything that she hopes and dreams for? I need the next volume!!!

OMG!! Wow! Holy Smokes Batman! Talk about a great second book in this series!!
I have been seriously stalking my kindle until this book arrived; I just had to know what was going to happen next. Sure they had a hot and heavy make out session until Kate pushed Asher away, but now that they would be partners in business, how will they handle all that sexual tension.
Well, Lila delivers all that and more. This time around we see how Asher and Kate are handling their somewhat friendship amist all the little details of opening a business. At times Asher is sexy and flirtatious and other times, he distant and short. Kate is working day and night, not only with the products for the store but also Lacey's trousseau. Kate is still attracted to Asher, but fights it with everything she's got. They're business partners and she doesn't want to risk it or her dream. Asher is doing everything he can to help realize Kate's dream but there is something off, something he's not saying.
The sexual tension between them is so passionate it melts off the pages. All the flirting leaves the reader panting for more. And when they finally decide to take it to the next level... it's a three alarm fire! Seriously had to stop and take a minute to regulate my breathing. However, just when things get heated, some truth comes to light that destroys their budding relationship.
Seriously, Lila is an amazing writer. This second book is sensational. Asher and Kate are perfectly matched both in business and personal. And boy what an ending!! I knew something was off but this took me by surprise. I can't wait to see how it will turn out in Part Three!

First, thanks to Lila Monroe and Give Me Books for allowing me a copy of this installment of The Billionaire Game to read in exchange for an honest review. I love Kate, no way not to. She's all kinds of awesome. A spitfire and man ole mighty she's one hot tamale!
***small spoiler alert***
So Katie and Asher are still working out this whole "let's be partners" thing. It's like a knock out drag out fight all day long. Kate pausing for the things she wanted to make her life long dream come true. Asher is pushing to do things cheaper (why I have no idea) but he says its for them to re-coop the money spent. Of course he doesn't word it that way. He's being an ass hole, a jerk and all the things men do to make woman mental. (Laughs) there is something up with him. It's almost an unspoken ticking time bomb. You're just waiting for it to go BOOM!
As the time nears for the opening day Kate stresses even more and Asher trying to keep her from flipping out. Just as things start to pick up between them disaster strikes. The shop has been flooded by a busted pipe. Asher gets it (the flooding) under control but it's over whelming to Kate. (Which is completely understandable.) So making calls, getting things cleaned up and shelves restocked was priority. They manage to get it all done and then it's opening day.
The one thing that Kate had always feared came true. Asher's 'true colors' shine through. His secret was revealed. Kate's heart broke and she runs off.
Now, we have to wait and see what in the hell is going to happen. For me I'd like to beat the mess out of Asher and make him cry like a bitch.

It’s filled with mostly hate of Katie and Asher’s love/hate business partnership. Because of this lack of development with the couple, it renders the pacing as slow. To sum of the first half, Katie wants her dream business. Asher act like an overzealous jerk with his wallet and business acumen. They butt heads all the time.
Now the second half of the book flips a switch. Finally, it gets good and interesting. There is more than just hate and bickering. They seem to build an odd friendship, or at least the start of one. The two also begin to act on the attraction, which up to this point was mostly superficial. With movement towards what appears to be their happy ending, I begin to think what will happen when they explore that thin line between love and hate. Will their chemistry final combust? I also made a mental note of why is this called The Billionaire Game? There is no game except for who can be more obstinate. So about this time is when it kicks up into high gear and the plot gets interesting. With the meddling of Asher’s frenemy, suddenly we find out not everything is as it seems to be and then it ends. The late reveal of the plot twist made me gasp and finally all of the pieces fell into place and the intrigue takes hold. Suddenly I feel invested and want to know what will happen with the couple.

IS THIS AUTHOR TRYING TO KILL ME!! This second part is a force to be reckoned with when I said ok this next one she should raise the bar, she OUT DID herself! From the first part to this one there is not a gap in time (I even reread the first to prove myself), it literally feels like their wasn't even a cliffhanger. That to me alone is exceptional writing. You have Sexy Playboy Billionaire with too much money on his hand but is a genius because he earned it himself. Helping a truly gifted Kate. Witty, stubborn, and trust me when you meet her family you will understand why she has had to learn to brush things off. She has a heart of gold and this is the next step. A business!! Friendships bloom into a mind spiraling night of her life escapade! It will burn a whole right into your reader. The authors description on everything in the novel from describing the materials she uses to the surrounding areas keep you well invested and the pages flowing. Can she keep the two apart business and pleasure? The humor and bantor these two have had me laughing because even through stress they found fun and ways to destress from life!

If you want to have fun with your romance, you just have to read this. The writing style is so dynamic and creative that the pages fly like a Concorde.
Kate's knowledge of fabrics and lingerie designs is awesome. I like her passion and I really wanted her to succeed in achieving her dream of an exclusive shop. As Asher and Kate raise hell with their constant verbal battles, I couldn't help but grin and shake my head. Though what I actually wanted was to see some real action of what was happening in Kate's head. She wants this man, though he's acting in a baffling way, all mysterious and secretive.
I enjoyed their clashing as much as the moments they spend being honest and a little warmer. Kate is super fun, but she doesn't trust a playboy like Asher. Even though both of us want to so much!
Despite his playboy ways, I'm starting to like Asher a lot, and not only for his looks. In this second part, he's almost adorable, but only when he's not infuriatingly exasperating. I love the chapter when he helps Kate unwound from all the anxiety of preparing for the shop launching. Don't be naughty. There is no hidden meaning in that stress-killing strategy ;o)
Yet all the (im)patient wait till the feast of the senses we've been craving for finally gets its noble reward. Well, nothing noble about hot, panting, explosive one-on-one activities. So I was understandably shocked at that horrifying ending that I hope and pray will be solved in part 3 in a dignified manner. I need my happy ending!

We left off in part 1 with Kate making a business deal with one sexy Asher Young. He’s willing to finance her dreams of having her own lingerie shop. During all of their prep work, they continue their banter. Which I absolutely love!! Sometimes I feel like Kate and I were separated at birth! I love her smart ass mouth. Her humor. Her take no shit type of attitude. And it shines even brighter!! Kate is struggling some though. She has her asshole (IMO) parents who like to belittle her when they aren’t ignoring her. She’s dealing with all the hundreds of things that need to be done by the time of her grand opening. And she is also dealing with her sexual pull for Asher. And speaking of Asher. Can I just say that I love him? He is Kate’s sound of reasoning. Her rock. Her bottle of Xanax’s when Kate starts to panic. He might come off as a playboying man whore. But there’s much more to him. And with this ending!!! I’m hoping we find out more. Because I’m sure he can explain his actions. For said ending.

So here we are part 2 !! Asher and Kate are now working very closely together to get the store space ready for opening. They both have very different views on how to decorate and what to spend money on. Kate wants high end because she wants to sell high end , Asher wants to have high end but not focus on high end and be reasonable on what they spend. Kate is defensive and thinks Asher doesn't believe in her. They have a chemistry that they may be able to avoid but can't deny. Their banter is funny , the jokes the close calls but this part brings a whole new side to Asher. He is struggling with something but Kate is not sure what it is , he is acting weird and it bothers her. Asher is a great businessman and finally after a lunch meeting they come to agree on terms and they get back to setting up. When a huge problem arises at the store they work quickly together to solve it and then they have some fun and boy is it hot !! I love how Asher helps out with her family and was so happy that the store opening went so well , or at least it was going well , until the drunk friend shows up... I was hoping for more steam and hotness but after that lil confession and cliffy I am not sure what we will get in part 3 !! Can't wait...

I am so pleased to offer up another star for this series! The cliffie in book 2, much better, that was pure emotion going on there. I deffo have to read book 3 and I'm so glad it's sitting on my kindle waiting already!
So, do I like Kate a bit more in book 2 - well I think I can safely say yes, although she is still winding me up with her OTT inner dialogue, couple that with Lila's need to describe actions and points to the Nth degree it is still a little annoying, but in book 2 there is definitely more story so it's easier to move past and enjoy what's happening more.
Asher? OH my God - Asher! I want to have sex with him and then I want to nut him one! What the bloody hell was he thinking! It's definitely him that has me absolutely needing to get on and read book 3. Ever since I finished part one in this series I have been impatiently waiting for part 2! I was not disappointed! Asher and Kate have so much chemistry and there is so much sexual tension between the two, being just friends and business associates. Yea right! Their little dance around each other is both funny at times and frustrating as hell at others. Something is going on with Asher, he is acting off. Finally. Finally! They succumb to the desires that they both have and it will melt your e-reader screen! Wow! Just when you think everything is going to be great, bam! A shocking revelation! Woo! The truth is revealed and it's a doozy! Seriously, what was Asher Young thinking? Flippin moron, yes that's the way to win over the girl.

Must read, though you have to read the books in order.
God, Katie and Asher are so hot together!! I was waiting for Katie to explode!! Though there are so many times I want to punch Asher for being a flirting player!! My favourite line was:
“It’s stress, you condescending asshole! Believe it or not, I can actually be upset about things when blood isn’t leaking out of my vagina!”
Such a one liner I'd love to use!!! LOL

Asher and Kate part 2. This one picks up right where part 1 ends so if you haven't read part 1 stop reading now. So in this one Asher and Kate are business partners and definitely have some sexual chemistry that is more like tension than anything else. I really like the banter that these two have with each other. I found myself laughing out loud a few times and especially with Lacey and Kate's BFF talk. There are many funny moments in this one. And then comes that ending. Man, talk about cliffhanger!! Yep this one had that for sure. I am interested in finding out what happens and am glad to have read this so far, but it isn't one I would reread many times. So in that aspect, I am rating this 3.75 stars, A copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

Kate's dreams finally come true with the help from Asher. She keeps trying to resist giving in and touchin him, as he loves to touch her any and every chance he gets. He knows how to get under Kate's skin, with words and touches.
Asher loves to flirt, he finally opens up a bit in this book and you get the feeling there is more to him, then just a hot guy with a habit of flirting, and being a jerk.
One Hell of a cliffy here.. glad the third one is waiting for me!

This is book 2 in Kate and Asher's story. I really enjoy Lila Monroe;s writing. it gets better and better with each book. Kate has a heart of gold let me tell you cause if I were her... would be slapping her parents and backhanding Asher and Dalton half the time... and don't get me started on the Barbies that Asher has hanging on his arms.
This book has two completely different halves. The first half is more on the line of book one and the second half while i don't want to spoil anything i was so ready to just kill him.
So good oh so good. Glad I discovered this series after all 3 were out so I got to read them one two three

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

I'm loving this series. I love the dynamic of all the characters. Asher and Kate are hilarious. I kept thinking they would never get together because outside forces kept popping up and sabotaging moments. I'm exciting to read the next installment.
Oh hell no!!! That did just not happen! I was just starting to like Asher. What a stupid, stupid move! Ugh! I wasn't sure what Brody was up to and he had my suspicions raised. I knew that there was something fishy going on but I didn't see they coming! Ok, rant over!
