Picked this up for free with Kindle Unlimited because I love the tv series and have been binge watching it lately. This book focuses on the 5 season original series that ran from 1959 to 1964. I think this book could be updated or have two more versions that would spotlight the two revivals (1985-1989 and 2002-2003 respectively).

That being said, this is a pretty good companion book. Whether you've seen every episode or have not watched the series at all, it's a great addition. The author has each episode laid out in order with director, writer, Rod's beginning monologue, a description of the episode, and a full review. The book is entirely spoiler free. This means that if you have not watched any episodes at all or only a few, you can still read a good description of each episode without having the twist ending ruined for you. The author pretty accurately lets the reader know which episodes are classics and worth a watch, and which ones fell short.

Overall, an informative read.

So Many Unsatisfied Reviews

After each review the author seems to feel that so many episodes were not up to par. One wonders why he even decided to write about the series if he were so unsatisfied with them.
