The childhood nostalgia is strong with this series, but it continues to be fantastic. I absolutely loved the atmosphere in this one and the gnomes are to die for, I absolutely love their personalities. I need to hunt down the next book in the series, but when I do I'll be gladly continuing the series. 9 on CAWPILE TW// oppression

Bullet review:
+I really like the setting and new characters introduced here. The gnomes make for an enjoyable people to read about and I genuinely cared about their struggle. Their environment and culture and love for smithing is also just really interesting.
+I still like most of our leads.
+Locations are more various than in the previous installment, which in the end just boiled down to being various sections of a forest.
-Robinia. I just don't think she gets to do a lot as a character in this book. She feels like she's just kinda along for the ride, but not like she genuinely really contributes (at least so far). What annoys me more about her, though, is the fact that she, a princess, is abandoning her kingdom to go on a mission such as this, pretty much leaving her people to figure things out on their own. She mentions that she wants them to establish a democracy, but she still doesn't do jack shit to help guide this change along and just bails on her people in such a turbulent time. I just cannot like a character that thinks this selfishly and seemingly doesn't care about her subjects. Even IF Robinia is gonna step down, she still should've been there for her people to guide them into the change into a democracy. She shouldn't just have turned tail and abandoned them only moments after a very politically turbulent time, leaving them to figure things out on their own.

Another amazing story!
They are hero in their own world. nah, dunia mereka aja yang berbeda dan bikin seru untuk diikuti. Great!Ngga sabar untuk baca seri selanjutnya....

The ending is a lot better than the beginning. It takes a while to get interesting, but every scene at the end of the book is filled with action and suspense. It's a very enjoyable read if you read the whole thing.
