Luke Saint

F**k being good. I won’t be tamed.

There are three things in life I’m damn good at: f**king, jumping out of planes, and chasing forest fires.

Settle down? Yeah, right. And definitely not with someone like Autumn Mayburn. She's uptight, smart-mouthed, and hell, she has a kid.

Did I mention she’s ten years older than me? There are a million reasons I shouldn't touch her.

F**k all of those reasons.

The single mom with the smokin’ hot body and the sass to match is going to be mine.

Autumn Mayburn

There’s nothing on this earth I despise more than a bad boy. Especially an infuriatingly cocky, womanizing, oozes-sex-from-every-pore bad boy.

I’m a mom. A businesswoman. I have responsibilities. The last thing I need is to get laid and played by Luke Saint.

He thinks that just because he saved my orchard from a fire, he can tell me how to run it.

He thinks he knows what I need, what I crave.

The problem is, I think he might be right.

This is the last book in the this series (so far anyway :P) and besides Luke's story we also get to see how everything raps up with the story that started with the first novel (Not telling you what it is in case you haven't read the first books yet :P)

description

description

If you thought Silas was a bad boy then clearly you haven't meet Luke :P This guy should tattoo BAD BOY and his forehead and be done with it...seriously :P

description

description

After he saves an orchard from a fire only to be put in his place by the beautiful woman that ones it he tries to take his mind of HER because he doesn't do older women and he definitely doesn't do MILFs :P

description

But when push comes to shove the truth is that they can't seam to stay away from each other even if neither is what the other one wanted...but the heart wants what the heart wants...right? ;)

The whole West Bend Saints series is now going for $0.99 only!!
Amazon

Book #1 Elias is about a war vet with a busted leg and a Hollywood star.

Book #2 Silas is about an underground fighter with a con artist, who is also his first love. Silas was my favorite of the series.

I enjoyed both the books, it had the lovely small town romance theme, full of sexiness and low in drama. The kind of books that you can just sit back and relax.

As for why I rated Luke only 3 stars, I admit is totally the issue with me because I never like younger man and older woman theme. The reason I read Luke without even looking at the blurb was because I need to the resolution for the Saints Brothers regarding the mysterious death of their mum. Is not a big story arch per se, but the issue had been hanging over their head since Book 1, so I just need to know.

Now that I got my ending, I wonder will Sabrina write about Killian Saints. On a side note, I'm also interested in the Tempest's team, especially Iver.

How I love the Saint brothers! Each of their books have been enjoyable and the overarching mystery of the death of their parents has continued to be interesting and I like that we've found out bits and pieces in each of the books.

Autumn was a great character, I felt bad about the way her story started but she was strong enough to carry on and she started a beautiful new life for her and her daughter Olivia. I liked that she was independent and she was hesitant of Luke’s help at first but she wasn’t adverse to receiving help from him.

Luke was was a womanizer and was never in one place long, choosing to live his life from one thrill to the next. He meets Autumn and offers to help her while he’s between adventures. He ends up being a very reliable friend and he’s great with Autumn and Olivia.

This book was sweet and a bit naughty. I really loved Luke, I can’t wait for more of the Saint brothers :)

1.5 So I am sad to give so few stars, but this book had SO much potential with the mining company story line and characters that should have been better developed. Instead we get an allegedly well educated heroine (a Wharton graduate no less) who instantly wants to rip all her clothes off at the first sight of the hot, tattooed bad boy. I think I've read that before, but where?????? Said heroine has a past that is explained in the prologue and then it is completely glossed over. Again (IMHO) lost potential. The bad boy hero, who supposedly has a new bed mate every night becomes obsessed with her magical vagina. Oh no, will he change his ways for her? Not a huge shocker here. Oh the sex scenes....well written but let's change it up a little. I'll just say there is an order to things and I started skimming after the third "order" Lastly, the author just explains away what she doesn't want to detail. The bad men will be taken out by the mob while they are in prison. No charges, no trail just a prison hit. This book was supposed to wrap up the mysteries of West Bend with the last brother getting his own stand-alone. I wouldn't call this a wrap up, glossed over lost potential.

I like this one the best! I loved Luke and Autumn was a tough lady.

Lots of hot loving and this time a good storyline to match. The older woman was an interesting twist with this brother.

Jane and Cade are just a matchmaking couple. After I finish the Saint brothers I am off to read their story!

Great sweet read!

Received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

There may be some debate on whether or not you HAVE to read the previous two books before reading this one. Although there is an underlying suspense plot-line, SP does a pretty good job threading the info into the current story so if it has been awhile since you read Silas or if you're coming in new you won't be completely lost. I've liked all 3 books but so far Luke and Autumn are my favorite couple. I have a soft spot for confirmed bachelors who fall in love with the kid along with the mother, especially when that mother is 10 years older than him. That being said, that other plot line that has carried through three books fell flat for me in this one. Silas read like an episode of Leverage, so although I knew this was no longer his and Tempest's story I thought we'd be more involved in the con. Sadly we weren't. I'm sure part of the issue was that Silas and Luke actually run concurrent with Luke extending just a bit beyond to wrap up the subplot. Unfortunately it wrapped up just a tad too quickly and neatly for me. When the subplot was over I had a total WTF moment. That's it? Shouldn't we have more since we still have Killian? Are we even going to get a book for Killian? So for me the romance was a win, the suspense was a disappointment. Luckily I love Luke, Autumn and Olivia enough to say I'm glad I read it.

4 stars!! This series has cameos from the inferno MCs ... so far I have read the first 3 books Silas, Luke and Elias and let me tell you it's quite awesome! They all can be read as stand alone but everything gels when you read them in order!! Each couple has a HEA

"And I'm not arrogant. I'm just honest."

This was my absolute favorite of the West Bend Saints series so far, I'm such a sucker for an older woman/younger man romance!

Luke Saint and Autumn Mayburn don't get off to a good start, when he confronts her about the fire caused by her foreman's drunken neglect. He's a twenty-something arrogant hothead, she's a working single mother of a young daughter. To say these 2 are opposites is putting it mildly, but there's no denying the attraction when they get together.

Luke, (the book), is funny, hot, sweet, and steamy. The chemistry between Autumn and Luke, (the character), is off the charts, I couldn't get enough of these 2! "I can't think clearly when this man makes me drunk with lust, shuts off the rational part of my brain, the part of me that makes smart decisions."

"I've never had a plan for jack shit in my life, and Autumn was sure as hell not a part of my non-plan." Luke's not one to settle down, and nothing in his life prepared him for Autumn. "I'm the guy whose idea of commitment is a second beer. I'm not the guy who's cooking dinner for some girl, playing with her kid, not wanting to leave in the morning after I fuck her senseless." But like it or not, Luke has found something in Autumn that he wasn't even looking for, and he realizes that she means more to him than he ould have ever imagined.

"This is what I want - she is what I want."

I just adored this couple.

Not only do we get Autumn and Luke's wonderful love story, we finally get the full story on the mystery surrounding the Saint boy's parents, and what has been going on in the town and with the mining company...a very satisfying conclusion to that storyline.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review, but I bought my own copy as well because I just lvoe this series. Sabrina has become one of my favorite authors and is now an automatic one-click.

5 Super Sweet, Super Funny and oh yes, Super Sexy Stars!!!!!

I love Author Sabrina Paige and I especially LOVE this series!!!!! Luke and Autumn were absolutely PERFECT for each other. I loved their fun-witty banter, I actually loved all of their interactions and the sex, oh yes, the sex between the 2 of them was off the charts hot! Now, add in a cute, adorable toddler and BAM, perfect, super-cute and adorable family:)

This story was fun, flirty, sexy, quick-paced, low on drama and angst and as usual filled with great GREAT stuff. I can't stress enough what a fabulous series this is and the storylines have played out beautifully for these brothers along with a super-adorable cast of female counter-parts as well and yeah now, of course, wanting more of the next super, sexy brother!!!!!!!!

Congrats Sabrina Paige on another book well done!!!!!!!!

Saints alive!

You have to be old to understand the title of this review! (Or older) This was another good story of the romantic fall of another self-proclaimed bachelor. A lot, or all, of the mystery appears solved but there is still one Saint man's story to be told. I love and enjoy reading this series as the author has given us a delightful mystery as well!

On to the final book.

Strong start, then tripped, fell and landed on its unedited butt after the second chapter. I read all three books in the series (OCD issue) but truly wanted to DNF after the first book. By the middle of the third book, I was in full-on skim mode - which I rarely do. Overall, the series concept was a strong, compelling idea. However, it fell flat in the implementation.

I may have been able to overlook continuity issues during the course of three books, although I was less inclined to overlook shoddy editing (I hope the author did not pay much for those services, otherwise she should receive a refund); however, i can't overlook the time vortex vaginas these heroes fell into. Characters "Getting Lost" in each other for weeks at a time without regard to the outside world. Jobs, business, friends, bills, contractual obligations? Nope. Time Vortex Vagina too strong to resist. Their parents are murdered and the town is under attack by mustache-twirling, mining corporation villains, but instead of following through on the investigation, they're going to pound and ground these ladies' "wet pussies" (I'm surprised the town didn't flood by the end of the series) into submission, which I can say they did with a lot of zeal and finesse.

Then, the conclusion of the THREE BOOK MYSTERY? Wrapped up vaguely because "mad computer skillz" and an intrepid two-dimensional team of Oceans 11 Do Gooders working in the background. Honestly, I think the author just didn't know how the caper would work, so she couldn't show it to the reader, heck she barely told it to the reader. Each book was approximately 28 chapters, so in the course of 84 chapters the mystery was essentially wrapped up in about four of these. The remaining 80 chapters were about miscommunication, "I'm Not Worthy" whining and fucking each other on any inanimate object possible. While I appreciate the emotional disconnect from their parents and the stereotypical evil small town, the response of the four brothers was shallow, dismissive and just plain unrealistic.

I paid $0.99 for a bundle of the series. I can't help but wish I'd bought a cookie instead.

“You're kind of cute angry.”
“You're kind of a dick." ”
“Five minutes after meeting me, and you’re already talking about my d-i-c-k?"

Luke is back in West Bend to help his brothers solve the mystery of their mother’s death. He has no plans to stay until a fire in an orchard brings him in contact with hot, beautiful, older, Autumn Mayburn, and her daughter, Olivia. After meeting Autumn, Luke finds himself breaking all his rules and getting involved with a woman, a woman with a child.

Autumn is recovering from the trauma of her father dying and walking in and catching her husband screwing his secretary on the same day. She started a new life in West Bend with her toddler Olivia, and all is well until Luke Saint stops a fire in her orchard, and sets one alight in her… soul. ☺

This is a continuation of the West Bend Saints story and brings all the brothers back together for the conclusion. With the help of Tempest and her team, they Saint brothers are able to learn the truth behind their mother’s death and help the town as well. Luke and Autumn’s relationship really didn’t factor in much with the main storyline and conclusion of the series.

Luke was not as strong a book as Elias and Silas. While it was enjoyable, and showed Luke maturing and taking on the responsibility a family, it was could have been written as a stand-alone. Still, there is a lot of hot sex, and a hot guy taking care of a toddler…always a win in my book. If you enjoyed the earlier “West Bend Saints” books, you will also enjoy Luke’s.

That's a hell of a heart-breaking first scene!

When Luke and Autumn first meet, there's immediate heat and exchange of angry words, but that's what I call exciting foreplay ;o)

I felt myself running through the dialogues as if in a marathon of sex appeal, picturing big, hot Luke and readhead Autumn in their lust-filled clash of wills.

It's really a lot of fun until this dance becomes a fire between them. Wow, that scene in the kitchen would pose a challenge for a whole department of firefighters! The way they talk afterwards was really nice, warm, like two human beings who really connected over their flaws and expectations. It was so interesting to see such different characters act in a vulnerable, honest way. Autumn is a woman with past experiences that have left her wounded, while Luke considers himself second-rate material and not enough for her. And he's also way younger than she is. I loved how real it felt that they came from such different places so their doubts and fears interfered in their relationship.

Also, there's a suspense storyline working in the background that involves Luke's family and the land situation in the area. That worked really well with the romantic plot. I was actually well planned. Not only added some tension to the story, as well as give the chance for other characters to make a cool appearance, but it also heated up the relationship between Autumn and Luke.

I was happy with many things, like the jobs the two characters have, how they surprise each other with the kind of person they are, the super steamy moments of couple time. The ending is full of adrenaline, empowering and romantic too. A wonderful addition to the series.

I know I'm going to be in the minority here, but I didn't finish this. I couldn't get past 8 percent. It just kept going on and on, and on and on with no action. (8 percent felt like 30%)

I've never read anything by Sabrina Paige before this. So I had nothing to compare it to. This book just didn't grab my attention.
And I know I'll catch hell for this, but I'm going to say it anyway: a lot of the reason why is because of the kid, Olivia.
(I have a son, love him to death and would do anything for him...But I don't want to read about someone else trying to tame a squealing kid, alright? I read to escape to a quiet land....)

The book started off with a bang: I'm pregnant, my dad is dead....And then the first chapter came around, the fire starts...and the flip flopping began.
And both characters just won't let it go.
Autumn is a single 34 year-old, who owns a cidery. She's a know-it-all, who hasn't had sex in God knows how long, and can't really hold her own.

I can't say anything bad about Luke, really. He didn't annoy me, but he didn't wow me either. I'm torn.

received an ARC for Luke (West Bend Saints, #3) from Sabrina Paige for an honest review & I have to tell you that I read it straight through; yes, that's right, in one go from to beginning to end & I loved Luke. Then I decided it was time to sleep (because it was 4am) & dream about Luke & I did just that!

Sabrina Paige has woven a beautiful tale of love & fulfillment between Luke Saint & Autumn Maybury. When they meet, sparks fly, & not in a good way, but very soon Luke is enchanted by the older woman & her young daughter as much as Autumn is captivated by the down-right hot young man. I loved that Luke didn't make their 10 year age difference a problem. He quickly recognised his change of heart at the thought of settling down apart from one misguided decision, went along with his emotions & was dedicated to romancing Autumn as well as getting to know her daughter. The loose ends from the first two books were all ended neatly. As a bonus, this edition includes the other books in the series which has to be a definite reason to read the series. West Bend Saints is a must read.

Honestly, I started reading this series because I read the blurb about this book. I was soooooo excited to read about a smoke jumper, and I was disappointed. I actually think I liked this book the best out of all three West Bend Saints books, but it still wasn't all that great. I really expected to get a full accounting of the mining mystery and to get to read about the mystery being solved and how they grifted the city. Again, it was like reading the cliffs notes version. Just too much telling, too rushed. Not enough emotion and character development. Again, this was the best out of the three, but I honestly can't give any more than 3 stars.

Luke really had to grow on me with this one. When he was not thinking he was great, loved how he was instantly smitten with Autumn and didn't let their age difference stop him. Luke was even great with Olivia. I didn't mind Autumn and her prickly ways at the start, because honestly what woman wouldn't be when face with how things looked on the surface. I was glad when Luke finally let Autumn in on the grift, but feel like we got shorted. I wanted more with how the group was able to get one over on the mining company and those terrorizing the town.

The ending was cute, loved that both Luke and Autumn had big announcements about their future.

Well, I got my resolution with this series and author!

The only reason to Luke was because I need an end to the Saints Brothers story.
It was disappointing to read this story.

The dialogue killed it for me because was way overboard. I cannot fathom people being rude when they meet especially when they are attracted to each other.
It just didn't work. The whole plot with the murder of the mom was rushed, didn't make much sense.
It felt like the story was an afterthought to the whole series.

This was definitely the best book of the series, but honestly, this whole series just kind of meh. Despite the heroes being ridiculously hot dirty talkers, the flow of the book just wasn't there and it just didn't work as well as I had hoped

Good story, likable characters, but lots of grammatical errors and typos and event timeline mistakes. All of which are too bad because it distracts from what otherwise would be a great story.
