Thank you LBT for having me on the book review tour and for my gifted copy of this epub.

This was a really good read. I thought it was really well written and just an all around good book.

This is a book about 2 strong mothers. One is a Bishop niece and she has the protection and the other one well she got left by her fiancé and had to raise a baby by herself. I couldn’t imagine I don’t know how people can do this. I really don’t. I couldn’t imagine doing that to my kids. Just leaving. Gosh makes me ill just to think about it.

I loved the characters. I wish I could say I had a favorite but I really don’t. I really liked them all. I really liked the real historical characters mixed in with the fictional ones.

I liked the setting and the pace of the book was really good. Definitely held my attention and interest very well.

I will be looking for more by this author to check them out !!

The Sacred Virgin and The Spurned Bride is about two very strong mothers. One who is a Bishops niece and is protected as well as almost hidden from the world. While the other lost her marriage proposal and was left to have and raised a baby alone with her mother.

Freia is by far my favorite character. She took her 'punishment' and went home to have and raised this child for the most part alone. She never once said a bad thing or even who the father was. She was in love and that child was the only thing left that mattered. While this wasnt my favorite read per say, it was still worth the time!

This historical fiction brings a mixture of history and fiction making it more interesting in my opinion. Though, the idea of reading a story about two strong mothers is what really peaked my attention.

I thought this was an interesting read. 2 unwed mothers, both strong and brave, both newer to the Christian faith, living in a time when having a baby out of wedlock was a source of shame for the mothers. At 132 pages, it is a short read, but the story didn’t suffer because of the brevity. I thought that the story was put together well and the character development adequate. The Sacred Virgin and the Spurned Bride: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
