When Cozy Mystery author, Patti Benning, isn’t busy plotting the deaths of multiple fictitious characters, she loves to spend time hiking with her rescue dog, Max, who is her bestest writing buddy.
Patti loves to cook and the food in her books has been tried and tested in her very own kitchen. She’s technologically shy, and stays away from social media a great deal, because it makes her feel more awkward and introverted than meeting someone face to face.
Writing is the perfect job for her because in her books, she gets to explore all the topics she loves, food, animals, crafts and reading. She loves her readers dearly, and is thankful for the opportunity to share with them through her work.

A Prank Gone Horribly Wrong!
Bridgett is settling into her new home left to her my her Aunt Agnes and trying desperately to think of it as hers, while also back to being in charge of the novelty shop which thanks to her aunt's generosity now also is hers. Her boyfriend Lachlan has asked her to accompany him and a group of teens on a weekend camping trip in the woods on his vast property.
Camping out isn't exactly exciting to her but Bridgett agrees, getting into the spirit after sitting around the campfire roasting hotdogs and making Smores. But things get a little dicey when Lachlan starts with the first campfire story which sounds all too real and quite sinister. Things quickly morph from there into chaos, tension and a missing employee. Quick, fast paced and enjoyable read. And a very surprising ending, I do hope there are more books in this series.

When Bridget participates in an overnight camping trip for area kids that Lachlan sponsors at the cider mill things get strange. The kids see what appears to be the wolf man near the campfire. In the morning they head back to the cider mill for more activities but one of the employees is missing. Later a video appears that seems to show the wolf man near the campfire the night before. Bridget helps Lachlan try to work through the mystery. When it is solved the two seem to have further cemented their relationship.

Bridget was no fan of the type camping that meant sleeping on the ground, but she took one for the team to help Lachlan with the annual kids’ campout the cider mill always held. There was some spooky fun and a little pandemonium when an employee decided to play a prank, but later that person was found dead. I had no idea this time whodunit which is really more fun than when I guess it, lol. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Bridget is looking forward to a long weekend volunteer at a youth cabin. She gets more than she bargain thinking she would enjoy the outdoor scenery. Everyone made it back safely without any accidents at least that she thought. But a man body s found later in the woods and once aagan she gets involved. It is one camping trip not to be forgotten.

In this one Bridget helps Lachlan with an overnight camping trip for kids. Unfortunately a campfire prank ends with one of Lachlan’s employees being shot by someone. Now they are trying to figure out who did it and why? Accident or on purpose? Never a dull moment in her life in this cozy little town. A perfect quick cozy mystery.

Camp outs and scary stories don't go together
This short story had alot in it. The sad part was loosing the young man because of a costume. But it was a really good costume and legend. Now can we have just a longer story?
