Work-Life Reset

When you reboot your computer, it suddenly dumps its baggage, cleans out its sludge, and acts like a new machine. Wouldn't it be great if you could do that for yourself? Whether you need a change in purpose, lifestyle, mindset, or heart, you have the ability to reset. You can reset your life balance, your health, your career, and your verve. A reset is not a do-over. The author is a motivational speaker and this is a motivational book. She gives lots of suggestions on how to improve one's life, especially when one has run up against a brick wall. I particularly liked the quote from philosopher Pierre Teilhard de Chardin "We are not human beings having a spiritual experience,; we are spiritual beings having a human experience."

I was excited to read this but the book repeated itself so often and didn't have substance that I couldn't finish it.

I am at a point in my life where I need to do something to take charge. Things have been a little out of control and I have made work my main priority. That's not a good choice for me right now. Fawn Germer has written a book that shows me how to step out of my sadness and rebuild. I am so grateful my friend recommended I read this book. It gave me hope and direction and now I know what I am going to do to make changes and start living a more positive life.

This was a game-changer for me. I had hit the wall with a number of issues in my life and didn't realize how far down I had gone. Fawn showed me how to take charge over my rut and get moving again. It is one part common sense and three parts action. I am so grateful for what she taught me here.

This was an odd combination of trite and inspiring. If there's a sentiment to be had about improving your life, it's in this book. It's a good book for those in need of some cheerleading to make a change, but skimps on the how-to. Lots of other people's examples, which is fine, but the single chapter on "resetting" lacks details and skims over those.

I've seen Germer speak; she's engaging, entertaining — a force. This follows the basics of her talk, but elaborates little.

I've never read any of her books and I never would! This woman is an online BULLY, harassing a local artist for her artwork of Oranges of all things! Fawn believes only one person has the right to paint Oranges, and bc this wonderfully nice artist doesn't agree with her, she slams her publically online for all to see. An awful person Fawn is! Shame on her! And bc of that, I would never read anything she puts out, never!
