Rate this book
Kristin Palmer is teetering on the verge of emotional collapse. Her entire life has been an endless stream of glitz and glamor since she first stepped into the limelight of professional modeling at the age of sixteen. Now with her marriage and her self-assurance shattered she can't think of a single reason why she should be in a hurry to get back to her life. Back to the successful modeling agency she built from nothing, back to friends that look at her with fear and pity, and back to her plush but painfully lonely penthouse apartment.
Speeding north out of Los Angeles on her annual business trip Kristin takes a random and impulsive detour that places her in a place that she has only dreamed of and an encounter with a man that was beyond her dreams.

Writing is not just a hobby it is a Passion. There is nothing as rewarding as knowing that somewhere someone is reading what you have written and hopefully enjoying it. I truly believe that deep down inside all of us there is a burning desire to see their thoughts and feelings put down on paper and read by other people. Get Busy!

Broken down into five sections, this book is interesting from the outset. With a prologue, parts 1 – 3 and an epilogue, it’s very easy to read this book at a sedate pace for readers who don’t have much time to sit down and devote to a book and yet, at the same time, it is very easy to rifle your way through the pages for readers who devour entire books whole.
There is an exceptional amount of detail that has been put into this book that not only instantly conjures images to a reader’s mind but also dates this book, from the outset, as being a contemporary romance story.
The prologue opens with tragedy and instantly adds an element of danger and suspense into the story, instantly gripping the reader’s attention and plants a seed in the reader’s mind that will sit and germinate as the main narrative of the story unfolds.
The characters within the story are extremely well rounded as the plot is well thought out. G. G. Baker has an attention to detail that allows her characters and the scene that is set to be brought to life before the reader’s eyes. Though the book is drenched in detail, it is still easy to read and enjoy, the weight of the description balanced well with the way that the plot is driven forwards.
There are some very long sections where readers have to insert their own grammar, which will be extremely distracting for those that get very easily annoyed by spelling and grammatical errors. There are also elements to the book that place it as being set in America, including some phrases and colloquialisms that may confuse some readers that aren’t familiar with them.
On the whole though, this book is a great read and is very easy to be swept away by. It is a must read for any contemporary romance fans who enjoy a little bit of drama and suspense to their romance ficition.

This is the very first book I read by this author and fell in love with her style of writing as I could 'picture' the story unfolding in my mind. It is nice to read a book where you can relate or sympathize with the character. The main protagonist, Kristin embarks on a journey of self discovery after the breakdown of her marriage.
The story is well paced and the chapters are not too long (that’s a big plus for me). The book is divided into five sections and has an interesting, well thought out plot as well as a beautiful ending.
I do love a good romantic story and this is one book I wouldn’t mind reading again.

I really enjoyed reading this book -- as someone who certainly relates to the main character.  I too am taking a journey into marriage and I do not want to lose everything that I have worked for as an independent woman.  I could definitely imagine going "off the beaten path" that I was expected to follow like Kristin. I really liked this book because you could truly feel the emotions of Kristin and as someone who is empathetic, I could really understand. I won't ruin what she finds off the beaten path, but she truly finds herself and more!

I really liked this cute little story.

It wasn't necessarily something I've never ever read before, but it was most certainly an enjoyable quick read that had just the right mixture of romance and a little mystery/ drama.

I really liked the characters and the writing style of G.G. that took you right there, first to Montana and then to Seattle and back.

The writing could use a little more editing, though for there were still some errors. They weren't as bad as to lessen my reading pleasure, hence a book well done.

From the very beginning, I found G.G Baker's book quite engrossing. It starts off with a tragedy which immediately adds an element of suspense into the story. You are left wanting to know what will happen next. The plot is well thought out and her style of writing and pacing builds tension in the story. This wonderful story certainly keeps the pages turning .
It was a very good book with good humor and a well defined plot. The ending is quite satisfactory and puts a smile on your face. I definitely look forward to reading more from this author!

A beautiful thrilling love story of redemption, revenge and righting the wronged. I really liked how the book was set up so we could follow along with how each person was seeing the events unfold. Great romantic story for anyone to enjoy.
