**JOSIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW**
If you read the first book than you are familiar with Alex and Libby. Alex is an American Business man who travels to Scotland for business where he meets Libby. Libby manages her family’s hotel in Scotland and is very tight with her family. Alex has to go back home to America and that means leaving Libby behind. I had the pleasure of reading book 1 and could not wait to see how the character’s story would continue. If you remember there was still an “unresolved issue” in America that caused quite a bit of controversy in the first book. So if you haven’t read the first book you need to read it before you continue on with this one.
I loved this book a lot more than the first one. There is more drama and angst but there is also a softer and kinder side to Alex. The overall plot of the story was interesting and kept hold of my emotions up until the very end. I think that is why I like this author’s writing style. The overall plot of the story slowly builds up and I really loved that about it. This book is told in Libby’s POV but we do get a prologue from Alex. I loved the prologue, we get to see where Alex’s mind and heart is at.
Alex and Libby have to face some difficulties because they do not live in the same country. A long distance relationship is hard, but they seem make things work. Libby has grown a lot in this book. She realizes that her happiness is with Alex and this time she has to put herself first instead of her family. She agrees to visit Alex in New York City to spend time with him to see if she can truly be with him and not with her family and life in Scotland. For Libby, to make this kind of decision it was not easy. As I mentioned earlier she is very close to her family so leaving them behind even for a short period of time was hard for her, but to see her determination and growth, only made me admire her character even more.
Alexander is hard character to read. While he was in Scotland he messed up and lied to Libby and although he only wanted a no strings relationship with her things have changed. He has a lot to make up for but he knows that he wants and needs her. While Libby is visiting him he puts a lot of effort into making time for her and showing her just how special she is to him. Knowing Libby suffered an attack from her ex-boyfriend, Alex is patience, loving, caring and makes sure she knows she is in control.
Now here is where the “unresolved issue” comes back to wreak havoc on Alex’ plans. Despite the fact that Alex knows this outside force is there to cause drama, he does not truly make an effort to put an end to it. I was so frustrated with him. He wanted to show Libby what she truly means to him but when things take a turn he becomes closed off and secretive.
There is a really strong connection between these characters and chemistry they have was even stronger. They have off the charts sex but for all the good Alex put in to her visit, it all comes crashing down. I had so many emotions while reading this book. I was excited, happy, angry and at times humiliated, nervous and disappointed for these characters. When a book can bring out so many emotions from me that is how I know it is worth it journey. Those feelings are what I look for in any book and this had it. We do not get a cliffhanger at the end of this book but Alex and Libby’s story is not over. I can’t wait to see where the author takes them in the next book.

After the epic cliffhanger in book one I was really glad to be able to read this novel and get to see more of Alex and Libby.
Just like book one there is still a lot of angst and drama but Alex was trying to prove to Libby that he wanted her and her only. Of course Katherine and James really didn't help matters and you will see what all these two get up to to try to break these two apart.
Alex to me seemed to mature a lot more as did Libby in this book. Of course the ending left me wanting more.
Beautifully written it was hard for me to put this book down.
The love scenes were well written and each scene was written in such a way that they didn't repeat themselves thru out the book.
This story has left me intrigued and wanting to read more about this beautiful star crossed lovers who even though there has been an ocean and enemies dividing them managed to keep holding onto their special love.

In this, the second book in the series, we once again read of the ups and downs in Libby and Alex's love life.
Alex has returned to the U.S. To take control of his business once again. But everyday sees him wishing he was back in Scotland, back in the arms of the woman he loves.
Libby is still recovering from the vicious attack at the hands of her ex. The only way she can get through the day without Alex, is to throw herself back into work.
But Alex has a surprise for Libby. He's organized for her to come to America for a few days to spend some much needed time with one another.
Once in the U.S., Libby is shown the city the best way she can think of, with Alex as her tour guide.
There's only one problem........Alex's childhood friend, Katherine.
She loves Alex and will do just about anything to get her man!! The fact that he has Libby at his house won't stop her.
The night of Alex's brother’s engagement party, Alex and Libby's world will be turned upside down by Katherine.
Is this the end for Alex and Libby?

Arc provided for an honest review
Can this Author's writing get any better? And the story was even better than the first book.
This book picks up where we were left hanging in Book 1.
The Book tugged on my emotions. I felt Happiness, Sadness, Betrayal, Excitement, Anxiousness and Anger.
And just when you though i am falling deeper for Alex, he went and did the unthinkable.
Oh and Michael turns out to be a very likable character.
This Book will not disappoint and will make you lose sleep. I can't wait for Book 3.
I have no hesitation in Recommending this Series to those romance lovers.

THE BOOKS IN THIS SERIES KEEP GETTING BETTER. So when Karen asked me if I would like a chance to read an early copy of He’s Captured My Trust, there was absolutely no way that I was turning her down. After the cliffhanger that I nearly tripped over at the end of He’s Captured My Heart, I could not wait to read the continuation of Libby & Alexander’s story. This book did not disappoint.
This book picks up from where book 1 finishes. I really don’t like to give spoilers away, but this will contain very minor spoilers from book 1, if you have not read it I suggest you stop reading now.
Despite the obstacles faced by the pair living on separate continents, Libby has decided that for once she is going to put herself first and try and figure out how to make a relationship work with Alexander. In order for her to truly decide if she wants to follow her heart and give up everything that she knows and loves back in Scotland, she takes the plunge to visit with Alexander in his hometown on New York.
Alexander knows that he has a lot to make up for after his role in Libby’s deception in Scotland. He has come to terms with the fact that he will do anything to get Libby to believe that he wants her. He has made it his mission to prove to her that his love for her is worth her taking a risk and handing her heart over to him to cherish.
But unfortunately, not all is smooth sailing as their relationship evolves. There are many forces outside of their relationship that are conspiring to ensure that the bond between the pair is irrevocably broken. Loyalties and promises will be tested. But can their bond survive the strains it is put under to find their HEA?
I have to say that I love the sassy and strong side of Libby that we discover throughout this book. While she is still being fragile with her heart while she decides if Alexander is worth the risk, she comes into her own when she is tested. You really live the struggle with her while she contemplates if she could give up everything for Alexander. The shining feature of Libby throughout this whole series is her utter loyalty and devotion to those that she loves. When she makes a decision she is willing to stick by it.
And just like in book 1, there were times were Alexander tested my patience. For much of the book I was enamoured by Alexander and his willingness to put his heart on the line over and over again with Libby. He willingly confessed his feelings to her, even when she held back. All of his actions were to show Libby that he wanted her. That is until you get to THAT point in the book. But above all, he is that dominant male that gets your heart racing.
There is absolutely no denying though, that the sexual chemistry between these two is off the charts. The steamy scenes were explosive and HOT. And while they were plentiful, they did not overtake the story line between Alexander and Libby.
I felt all of my emotions through this book. I felt happiness, sadness, betrayal, excitement, anxiousness, disappointment and anger. And that to me is a sign of a great book, one that gets you emotionally involved in the characters and hoping that everything will work out for the best.
Karen has invested me heavily in Alexander and Libby’s story and I can’t wait to read the conclusion to their epic tale. I have no hesitation in recommending this series to those romance lovers who love a sold storyline with the sexy times of a romance.

I thoroughly enjoyed book 2 in this series its warm, sensual and sexy!
I was gifted book 1 for an honest review and on day I finished book 1 I purchased and read book 2 - yes im a serial reader, lol.
There's an ocean separating our fledgling lovers and they're both feeling the distance, so Alex arranges an intervention and arranges for Libby to visit for a long weekend.
There reunion is very welcome to the reader as you feel the sparks of desire off them straight away.
Alex is a man of money and is used to getting what he wants, he wants Libby that's for sure, unfortunately for him so do his family! His family is adorable and Sophie his sister is great, she takes to Libby instantly and seems to spend nearly as much time with Libby as Alex, at least Alex has her to himself at night. I found it very sweet how Alex was happy to let Libby get to know his family rather than cocooning her in his flash home.
Alex shows his money a little more in this book, but it doesn't feel like I'm a billionaire and I can pay for what I like, its done more delicately.
Libby she shows she has some teeth in this book and stands up for herself when people try to come between the two of them, I really like Libby.
You know there's going to be some angst thrown in to add to there love story.
The book ends in a place where you will happy to leave it for now, but will obviously want book 3 as soon as possible.

The second book in this series is a seamless continuation of Alex and Libby's story. Fighting for their love and overcoming adversity across the ocean between them. The ups and downs of the story had me holding the characters close to my heart, and the story itself was really well written. A few blanks I would have liked filled in on but know this may come in the next book of the series.
With Libby is coming to grips after her attack and Alex sees the true extent of the aftermath upon his return. With both of the characters struggling to accept their true feeling for one another and trying to adjust to what their futures may hold. But once again, an old friendship would be a strain and push the boundaries of Alex's kind nature and a misunderstanding sees Libby heartbroken again.

'He's Captured My Trust' is the second book in the 'Captured' Series by Indie author Karen Frances. The story continues to follow Alex and Libby after a somewhat heartbreaking close to her debut novel. Alex has business to attend to in the states and he's left Libby to recover both physically and now emotionally while she continues to run the family hotel in beautiful Scotland. When Libby travels to see Alex she finds out that she has more than just work-related business to contend with and it might be more than their new relationship can handle. Alex has definitely grown on me since the beginning of book one. It's obvious that he cares deeply for Libby, but his past might keep them from being together.
Just as Karen's characters have grown, so has her writing. Her second book did away with some of the extra details that I personally found unnecessary in book one. Her heroine is a strong and determined business woman and as well as a devoted to her family, which leads to tough decisions that might have to be made on more than one front. The book isn't all about business and turmoil though, as it has its fair share of steaminess as well. I look forward to the next book in the series because I know their story isn't over yet. :-)

Loved it!
This book was a terrific read. It has definitely captured my attention. It is so incredibly well written that I just fell effortlessly into the story and was instantly hooked. The difficulty in putting this book down factor is a solid 10! I kept my reader with me and any free moment I had I was nose deep in this book. The story is absolutely intriguing and the characters had me caring about them, and sharing their feelings. Oh the feelings! This book had me on a crazy emotional journey, happy, sad, mad, anxious, you name it. There was plenty of drama, and angst, and the steamy scenes were well done and not overdone or over the top. Alex and Libby have chemistry to spare, and a love that just can't be denied, although at times I wanted to shake them and scream communicate for heavens sakes already! Argh! This book does end in a bit of a cliffhanger and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I look forward to reading more from this talented author. I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Both giving their long distance relationship a chance, with other people being their obstacles and making it hard for Libby to completely give Alex her trust. In the end, their love for each other seals the deal for them to compromise & for Libby to not just give Alex her heart but her trust. He’s Captured my Trust picks up a few months after the first book in the series. Just like the first one, this was a book that I didn’t want to put down. Libby and Alex really have amazing chemistry and getting to see their relationship grow even more from the first book was great. In this second book we get a closer look at Alex’s family and get a glimpse into what his life is like in America. Of course nothing can go perfectly for these two and lots of drama ensues once Libby joins Alex in New York for a visit and faces the media frenzy that surrounds Alex’s life as well as a longtime friend of Alex’s who wants him all for herself. There were times I was feeling so frustrated wondering why the two didn’t just open up to each other more and it seemed like just when I thought I knew what was going to happen I was thrown for a loop. A definite must read for sure! I can’t wait for the next book!

However, as expected, all is not rosy as some conspire against the couple. This leads to some shocks throughout the story. The limits these people go to in order to secure the outcome they want is quite something. Can Alex and Libby find a way to be together once and for all, or does fate have other plans for the couple?

I had forgotten how good Karen's books were until I started reading this.
I got straight back into the story of Alex and Libby's short but hot relationship.
This story is very well written and you will fall in love with the characters. Alex is a rich arrogant man who is used to getting what he wants, Libby is a hard working women who is a bit feisty and has locked her heart away so that it doesn't get broken again. Watch their love and trust for each other grow only to be shattered. You need to read it to find out what happens next!

After reading book 1, I wasn't sure what to expect with book 2. Book 1 was great and left you wondering what was in store for Libby and Alex... Book 2 follows in nicely from book 1 and the story flows. Alex ans Libby are so in love, but trouble and the past just haunts them. They work hard to overcome family problems and past history that still threatens their future. Book 2 ends leaving you wondering what us going to come out of book 3. I look forward to the release of He's Captured My Soul.

He’s Captured My Trust picks up where He’s Captured My Heart ends. Karen Frances’ writing makes you feel all the love, heartache, passion and joy. This book is hot sexy read but it doesn’t over shadow the story of Alex and Libby. They go through so much and you can’t help but want things to work out for them. I can’t wait for the next book!!! I highly recommend this book, this series and especially this author.

I love these two! I was so happy when Libby went to New York to visit Alex, I just wish that they didn't have to deal with all of the drama that comes with being Alexander Matthews. But what's a good romance novel without a little drama and angst, lol.
Watching how Libby and Alex deal with everything life throws at them makes them such a lovable and believable couple. I can't wait to see what's in store for them in the next book!

Book 2 jumps straight in where book 1 left us and if you think that the rollercoaster and drama had ended then think again when you hit with bumps and shakes in the life of Libby and Alex!
I enjoyed this book and really can't wait to see whats next for the couple in book 3 also.
Loved meeting and learning more about some family members too and can say I'm very interested in Michael and what his story may be 😉

This series keeps getting better! I’m am starting to really love Alex as much as I Love Libby! This book brings us a more into this relationship that has a million thing standing in its way but I love the effort they put into making it through together! I can’t wait for more from this powerhouse couple!

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is a continuation of Alex and Libby’s tale. Alex takes Libby to New York to meet his family and friends, but things do not go to plan with a spiteful ex determined to break them up. This is a well written story which had drama, angst, love and passion. I was hooked throughout this riveting story and I highly recommend for all.

Once Libby forgives Alex for his omissions in book 1, she must decide if she is willing to give-up many things in her life, including her job which she loves to be with Alex. Libby decides to go to the states for a long weekend with Alex to help her try to decide if she wants to give everything up to be with Alex. There are of course, bumps in the road, but trust me, that is what makes this book so stinking good.
I feel in love with He Captured My Heart and since it did end in a cliff-hanger, I was impatiently waiting for the second book of the series to come out. Karen Frances did not disappoint me. First of all, the chemistry between Alex and Libby is off the charts. In addition to that, the book engages the reader through a rollercoaster of emotions dealing with the characters of Alex and Libby. I was frustrated (at both Alex and Libby), emotional, hopeful, happy (as well as many other emotions) as well as on the edge of my seat while reading the book. Ms. Frances did a spectacular job writing her characters and conveying their story.
