Garret Morgan, Inventor by Garnet Nelson Jackson- Children’s Illustrated Colour Picture Book- Garret, an African- American inventor was born in Kentuky, one of the 10 children in the family. At the age of 14- years he left his family to work in Ohio, then to Cleveland where he opened a small workshop. His first invention was a hood to provide fresh air to Fire brigade workers. He was interested in machines. He viewed moving traffic jams on squares roads. To solve this problem, his second invention was traffic signals to control. I have read this book in Hindi language. Coloured illustrations help the reader to relate to the story.
