Its been a while since I read a god reverse harem and this book remarked my love for the “why choose” trope. All four men are so down bad but react to that in their own ways. I loved all three boys that we saw in this book (Ryker, Ronan and Damon) and out of them I loved Ryker the most. There’s just something so endearing about an overprotective bodyguard who loves her but can’t do anything about it because she’s “off limits”. Each mmc has a different story with her, with Damon being her friend turned enemy because he was jealous of Chloe being with his brother Roman. Andy our last dude…well he only appears at the end but he makes a dramatic entrance alright. I admit I didn’t exactly like Damon and Roman annoyed me a tad, but by the end it was obvious all these boys would do anything for her. Chloe has gone through so much in this book, as the timeline flashes between past and present; there’s many intense moments that will have you hanging onto every word . The plot is crazy good, with so many amazing plot twists and intense moments, but I do wish there was more romance (but I do believe it’s really setting the scene for more romance in the next book!). There also is an insane cliffhanger that left me hanging off the edge, and I cannot wait to truly meet Kingston… I think this book has so much potential and I’m looking forward to the next one. I give it a 4/5

Omg i love this… second chance, morally grey, bodyguard, so many book boyfriends that you just can’t choose!!! Chloe is so strong recovering from running to save her life that once she comes face to face with her past that the now she has to decide how to move forward. The emotions that she feels and her pain is visceral- i can’t wait to see what cones next in book 2

This book completely pulled me back into my love for reverse harem romance. It had been a while since I picked up a why choose story, and this reminded me exactly why I enjoy the trope so much. The combination of dark mafia elements, emotional chaos, multiple love interests, and a heroine who has endured so much made this an addictive read.
Chloe’s journey was honestly heartbreaking. She has been through unimaginable pain, losing so much and carrying wounds that run deeper than anyone realizes. The story jumps between the past and present, slowly revealing everything she has survived, and those moments made it impossible not to become invested in her. No matter how many times life knocked her down, she continued fighting, and I couldn’t help but admire her strength.
The men in Chloe’s life each bring something completely different to the story, and I loved seeing how their feelings for her showed in their own unique ways.
Ryker was easily my favorite. There is just something about a protective bodyguard who is completely devoted but forced to keep his distance because she’s considered off-limits. His loyalty, patience, and the way he cares for Chloe had me completely hooked. Every scene between them left me wanting more, and I definitely wouldn’t have complained about extra moments with these two.
Ronan was a character who surprised me. At first, I wasn’t completely sure how I felt about him, but as more truths came out, I started seeing him differently. Watching him deal with everything he thought he knew being turned upside down was emotional, and by the end, I genuinely felt for him.
Then there’s Damon. He tested my patience, but somehow he still managed to make me care about him. His choices weren’t always easy to understand, and he definitely made mistakes, but underneath all the anger and resentment was someone struggling with his own pain. Seeing how much his past and his father’s influence shaped him added so much depth to his character. I’m really curious to see what more we discover about him in the next book.
Andy only appears briefly, but that entrance definitely made an impact. After that introduction, I’m very interested to see what role he’ll play moving forward.
The plot itself kept me completely engaged. There were so many twists, emotional moments, and revelations that I constantly wanted to keep reading just to find out what would happen next. The suspense and drama were done really well, and the cliffhanger at the end was absolutely cruel. I need answers, and I need Kingston’s story immediately.
My only wish was that there had been more romance and more time focusing on the relationships, especially between Chloe and Ryker. The foundation is clearly being built for something bigger, and I have a feeling the next book will bring even more of that emotional and romantic payoff.
Overall, this was a dark, emotional, and addictive why choose romance that kept me invested from beginning to end. Chloe, Ryker, Ronan, Damon, and the rest of the characters have so much potential, and I’m already counting down until the next book. That cliffhanger definitely has me desperate for more.

Advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
This book had me hooked from the very first chapter. A dark mafia romance with multiple love interests, emotional twists, and a cliffhanger that has me desperately needing book two right now.
Chloe completely stole my heart. Watching her lose everything she loved, endure so much trauma and heartbreak, yet somehow keep fighting was incredibly emotional. Every time I thought she might finally catch a break, life threw something else at her. I couldn’t help but root for her the entire way through.
Ryker… the bodyguard. 😮💨 This man had me from the moment he appeared. Protective, loyal, and exactly my type of MMC. My only complaint? I needed so much more of him. I wanted more scenes with Ryker and Chloe because every moment between them had me wanting more.
Ronan surprised me the most. At first, I wasn’t completely sold on him, but once the truth came out, everything changed. Seeing him process everything he had believed and watching his emotions unravel completely shifted my opinion. By the end, my heart genuinely hurt for him.
And then there’s Damon… 😮💨
He frustrated me, and somehow still made me love him. He may be emotionally closed off and made plenty of mistakes, but underneath it all you could see how much he cared in the only ways he could. The weight of his father’s influence has turned him into a shell of the man he could have been, and watching him battle those emotions absolutely broke me. I’m really hoping we get to peel back more of his layers in the next book.
This was one of those books that had me saying, “Just one more chapter…” until suddenly it was the middle of the night. 😂
The only thing I wanted more of was a little extra spice and more page time between Ryker and Chloe. Other than that, I flew through this book and now I’m counting down until the next one.
If you love these tropes, definitely add this one to your TBR. 👀💜

First of all, a huge thank you to Smuthood for allowing me to ARC read this book in exchange for my honest opinion! 🖤
I have to say something before I even get into this review—Montana Frye was actually the first author I ever read when I started exploring mafia romance. Her books were my introduction to the genre, and ever since then, it has been one wild, dark, dangerous, and absolutely amazing journey. So getting the opportunity to ARC read this one felt extra special to me.
Now…
MONTANA FRYE. MISS MA’AM.
How could you leave me hanging like that?!
Seriously. I need answers. I need the next book. I need emotional compensation because that ending was absolutely criminal.
This book had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The tension, the danger, the suspense, the chemistry—I was completely hooked and constantly wondering what was going to happen next.
Chloe absolutely broke my heart. From page one, she definitely had that damsel-in-distress energy, but honestly? After everything she endured, it made sense. The trauma she went through was horrifying, and there were so many moments where my heart hurt for her. Her journey was painful, emotional, and incredibly heavy at times.
But then we have…
Ryker. Ronan. Damon.
Excuse me?!
These three were absolute FIRE. 🔥
I love them. I’m claiming them. I don’t make the rules.
They are smexy, dangerous, intense, protective, and they absolutely SCREAM mafia in all the best ways. Each of them brought something different to the story and to their dynamic with Chloe, and I loved how their personalities stood apart from one another. They weren’t interchangeable—they each had their own energy, their own danger, and their own way of pulling me deeper into the story.
The chemistry? Delicious.
The danger? Yes.
The mafia vibes? Absolutely.
The emotional damage from that ending? UNFORGIVABLE.
Montana Frye, you once again reminded me exactly why your books pulled me into mafia romance in the first place. This was dark, intense, suspenseful, and completely addictive.
But seriously…
THAT ENDING?!
Miss ma’am, I will be waiting very impatiently because you cannot just leave me hanging like this. 🖤🔥📚

Holy hell… I ATE THIS BOOK UP IN HOURS!! Run Little Liar by @montanafyre_author is book one in the Lombardi Legacy series. A new author to me and I was blown away. Give me my most favorite dark, why choose. Add in every intense emotion possible, a story that has you pulled in so deep at every turn, yearning and angst and steamy heat and an ending that leaves you absolutely feral for the next book!
Chloe, this woman, my heart both broke for her and the absolute trauma and heartbreak she had gone through, but also loved how she was strong, so kind, loving and absolutely refused to let her past define her. She left a horrible situation ten years ago and has been hiding with another Mafia family and trying to live her life the best she can. Ryker had my heart from the start, her bodyguard, he’s loyal, protective and finally giving in to his desire for her. Brothers Ronan and Damon. Ronan was her first love, her first everything. He was the sweet one, he absolutely adored her. He’s angry and so hurt by the past. But there is so much he doesn't know. Damon was the complete opposite in every way. Growing up, he was her best friend and secretly loved her. But being the heir to the throne, he never felt worthy of her and pushed her away. He’s dark, broody and I think secretly hurting just as bad. I loved the past and present flashbacks. They truly showed us how several days and horrible circumstances ten years ago destroyed these three.
As these four move through the book, their connections and chemistry are palpable. The angst, the slow burn, o it builds so beautifully! The spice is pure fire!
And the ending, the cliffhanger. OMGGGG. Literally screamed, my jaw on the floor. There is so much to come. So many questions and so much healing. And who is Kingston?! I can’t wait to find out how he plays into all this! I can't wait for book two!

Can I start by saying I am obsessed with this series, and it is only the first book?? I literally devoured this book. I went back to the Legion of the Syndicate series to catch up.
The story opens with Chloe fleeing from Ronan and Damon, betrayed by her family after her father was accused of hiding enemies, leading to her parents’ betrayal, Damon is in the wrong for neglecting her. Damon, who loved Chloe as a child, distanced himself after embracing his dark family role, letting Ronan and Chloe become childhood sweethearts. Chloe was pregnant with Ronan’s child but ran to Kingston, who shielded her at her father’s command. In hiding at the De Marco household, she met Camilla, who introduced her to bodyguard Ryker. Ryker is fiercely protective, especially when the Lombardi brothers reappear, unaware of Chloe’s past. The brothers have spent a decade searching for her, and now she’s caught in the middle.
Thoughts
This is the first book in a trilogy that ends on a cliffhanger. Thankfully, book two drops in August, and I don’t know how I’ll wait. I’ll buy a physical copy of this book for a shelf trophy; her worlds are so immersive. If you enjoy interconnected worlds, dark mafia romance, gripping suspense, and cliffhangers, read this now.

I saw someone post about this book on Bookstagram and had to read it and did not realize it is a trilogy... so this is your warning that it is a trilogy - go in eyes wide open. And yes clearly that was my mistake.
This is a why choose there are four MMC and 1 FMC.
I truly loved how each MMC was so incredibly different from each other. during the first book we get to
Ryker - He's her bodyguard (Hired by Kingston). He's been obsessed with her from the first moment they met but he doesn't act on that until something pushes him over the edge.
Ronan - her childhood boyfriend. they were planning to go to college together and Ronan wasn't interested in going into the family business. He was the love of her life. until everything changed.
Damon - Her childhood boyfriend's older brother. There was a connection / feelings that they both suppressed. He pushed her away and was a total jackass to her every chance he got.
she's been on the run / hiding from Damon and Ronan's family for a decade.
Kingston - he's a mysterious character who gave her a new life then walked away.
The book starts out in the middle of a chaotic situation. Chloe has been on the run for a decade and this situation causes her to expose herself and get the attention of Ronan and Damon and their father the head of their family. I really enjoyed the series of events that lead to her interacting with each of the MMCs. The story is high energy and fast paced and every scene between Chloe and the MMCs felt super exciting.
The story is told in the first person perspective from each of our MCs both in the present tense and in the past helping us understand some of the complex relationships.

I truly hate coming into the middle of something. This new series is a continuation of the syndicate of legion series which I haven’t read. So the book begins with Chloe visiting the safe house where the Camilla’s men are and encountering two Lombardi men from her past. Chloe had run away from the Lombardi family almost ten years ago and had been lying low so they couldn’t find her. It was a little hard for me to believe she had escaped ten years ago and hadn’t sharpened up her survival skills. She was shocked to see Ronan and Damon although she knew other families been called in to help find Camilla. Ronan and Damon had grown up with Chloe because her father worked for the family. However it becomes evident that something happened and Chloe felt betrayed by both men and the family. It is also clear that they are secrets between the brothers. Chloe doesn’t want anything to do with them but it is more than obvious they feel differently. Now Ryker who is Chloe’s not so secret bodyguard is fully invested in keeping his ‘siren’ safe. What makes this book successful is that we get the POV of each character. We can sympathize with Chloe and Ronan for different reasons. Damon is the most unlikable character in this book and that will probably change in the next book. This book is filled with secrets, lie and ends with a cliffhanger. I believe this book may be a trilogy because it was a slow burn, not much spice in this first book. There are some heavy topics so as always please check your trigger warnings.

Montana, why girl, why?!? I knew going into reading this that it is the first book of a trilogy, but I was still waiting for more book when it ended *cue me repeatedly pressing the page forward button on my ebook reader to no avail*. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. Chloe is the kind of FMC who does what she has to do to stay alive. She's not a complete kill everyone badass but she's going to make sure she survives and it really made her character feel human. I was emotionally invested before I knew it. She definitely goes through it, her story isn't lighthearted but her will to live is strong.
I hate Damon and Ronan's dad, so much I blocked out his name from my psyche.😒 His complete mental unraveling is the direct cause of his sons and Chloe's trauma, and her family's death (and more I'm sure). The story unfolded through alternating past and future perspectives and each time I got a glimpse into the past, I was more invested in the character's futures. And then there's Ryker, Chloe's personal bodyguard, who ends up tangled up with feelings for Chloe. I'm just here cheering from the sidelines for all three of the men, obviously. Ryker is possessive and protective, Damon has that whole hate that I love you bully vibe, Ronan is her first love, and they are all about that "touch her and die" life. Girl, it's a mess and I loved it all.
Ugh, the cliffhanger really got me... I'm so glad the next book is almost here.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

This book!!!! I literally read it in one sitting no joke. AMAZING!! Chloe (FMC) was so much more in this book and it was amazing. I originally read the Syndicate of the Legion series (that she appears in) and she seemed so insignificant in it but this book made her so much more. She is fierce and sassy when she needs to be and so stubborn.
Ryker (MMC) is great like he is hilarious and he is so scary at the same time and I love it. He’s almost a giant teddy bear but then he’s a grizzly bear. He is a good match for Chloe bc he doesn’t let her get away with anything. And the spice between them was unfounded.
Ronan (MMC) sweet Ronan. He’s so good. He is fierce and protective but he is 100% a golden retriever. He loves hard and deep and I want a Ronan for myself.
Damon is all dark. The hatred that he displays literally makes you want to hate HIM! But deep down he loves Chloe and will do anything for her as long as he doesn’t get the credit for it. And the absolute tease that was written at the end had me going insane.
THE CLIFFHANGER!!!!! I need book two STAT! I can’t wait any longer.
10/10 MUST READ!!!!
Please read the trigger warnings this book might not be for you and that is okay!!

I literally could not put this book down. One of my favorite things about Montana's writing is the amount of detail she puts into every character. Every time I pick up one of her books, it feels like I'm watching a movie instead of reading. The trauma Chloe and the Lombardi men have endured is woven into every part of who they are, making each character feel layered, believable, and impossible not to become invested in.
My heart broke for Chloe. Even after everything she's been through, she continues to fight, making her so easy to root for. Ryker quickly became my favorite with how fiercely protective he was of Chloe. Everything he did came from a place of wanting to keep her safe, and their chemistry made every scene between them even better. At the same time, Damon and Ronan kept me constantly questioning how I felt about them. I wanted to hate Ronan... but I couldn't. And Damon? I spent most of the book frustrated with him, only to find myself questioning that by the end. Ryker, on the other hand, could do no wrong... although his boss might disagree.
Their past only pulled me in further, and I loved slowly uncovering pieces alongside the characters. By the time I reached the last page, I was completely invested in this family, desperate to know what really happened and where the story is headed next. Can’t wait until the next book comes out!

I devoured Run Little Liar!
From the opening pages, this book throws you into a world of danger, lies, and betrayal, and it never lets up. Ten years of secrets come crashing down, and every chapter peeled back another layer that left me completely obsessed.
The emotional angst in this book was chef’s kiss. Watching Chloe return to the people she left behind and face the hatred fueled by years of lies was heartbreaking. Ronan and Damon brought so much tension to every scene, and I constantly found myself wondering what really happened all those years ago.
And can we talk about the bodyguard? I loved him. The mystery surrounding his past, his protective nature, and the slow building trust between him and Chloe added so much depth to the story.
The suspense was fantastic, the twists genuinely surprised me, and the ending had me desperate for more. I was glued to my Kindle the entire time because every chapter ended with another reason to keep reading.
This was my first book by Montana Fyre and consider me a fan and completely addicted!
If you’re looking for a dark romance full of mystery, revenge, emotional turmoil, dangerous family dynamics, protective heroes, and nonstop tension, Run Little Liar is one you won’t want to miss. This book kept my heart racing from beginning to end.

Just wow! Like wtf! 😳 I loved it. Yes there may be three maybe men at the moment but I am rooting for one lol. Who knows if my opinion will change in the next books but so far. I am rooting for the one that tattoos himself with something that has meaning for the MFC. So excited for the next one. Having Chloe have feelings for three men. Ronan, Damon and Ryker. Can’t wait for the next one since wow on the cliffhanger. Also I do have a rant that made me argue and roll my eyes reasons below since it has spoilers lol.
Spoilers ahead you been warned:
This was for Chloe since like girl you didn’t wait for your ex love to give you an explanation you just screwed your bodyguard in front of him like why? That even made me cry. This man will die for you. He tattooed a sparrow for you. “ Unlike his brother, his body is almost completely free of ink. Except for the space right over his heart where a bird in vivid color catches my eye. A sparrow. He thought I left him with our child. He thought I ran away to start a new life without him. And yet he still had me tattooed on his chest, right over the organ that keeps his blood pumping”…like that is hot. I do have a feeling that he might kill anyone to find you again. Your are his life. Okay I think my rant is over lol.
Once again I loved it also why the F does Kingston want Chloe? My poor girl can’t catch a break.

Thank you The Smuthood and Montana Fyre for the promo eARC!
This is the first book of a soon-to-be trilogy (Lombardi Legacy). The author did a great job blending backstory and memories with the present, and it didn't feel like an info dump at any point. I loved the multiple POVs from the different protagonists, especially how we got to see the FMC from the MMCs' eyes.
This story was pretty slow burn with lots of yearning and pining, but also had some spice to it. I have a feeling books 2-3 will be even spicier and, obviously, we should be getting the POV from the mysterious 4th MMC (you'll have to read to the end to find out who it is so I don't spoil it!). Did I mention that pretty much all the MMCs don't like one another and that two of them are brothers??
I love a good mafia romance, and this book didn't feel overdone. I'm looking forward to the future books in this series! You can find my visual overview on Instagram at @shirleen_reads

I received this book as an ARC and couldn't put it down—I started reading at 6:00 PM on July 6, 2026, and finished just after 11:00 PM. I am absolutely hooked and currently dying to get my hands on the next installment to see how the story unfolds!
I would rate this 4.9 stars.
The story follows Chloe, who is on the run from her ex-lover and his brother due to a misunderstanding (you'll have to read to find out what!). She finds sanctuary with a man named King, who her father promised would protect her. She manages to build a new life for ten years, but everything changes when she comes face-to-face with her past, She seeks safety with he "Silent" Bodyguard
While this is categorized as a "Why Choose" mafia romance, I felt the "Why Choose" dynamic was more of an intense infatuation at this stage. I would have loved to see more interaction between the group beyond them just arguing over her safety, but I’m hopeful the next book will deliver that.
Overall, I loved the story. Ryker is easily my favorite, though Damon definitely grew on me, and Ronan is...Just there at the moment just in puppy love with Chloe. I wish there was more back ground on King
Thank you for the chance to read this through ARC !!!

This story is not for the faint hearted.
The Mafia life it depicts is on the darker side and not a light romance.
"The knowledge that the men who promised me the world were the same ones who led to my downfall."
Ronan and Damon were Chloe's life. Her best friend and the other her first love.
It's obviously a little more complicated than that and after running for her life she meets Kingston and then she goes into hiding with Camille's family and is under the Syndicate's protection. Camille arranges for a bodyguard for her and Ryker gets involved.
Ryker tries to stay in the shadows but is easier said than done.
Chloe has enamoured him since day 1.
He has to save her more than once and The Brothers makes an unfortunate reappearance.... Its action... It's heartbreaking at times and It's NOT DONE...
Chloe is at the centre of it all.
I can't say more than this.... Im waiting for Book 2 on the edge of my seat!!!
Stunning and Gripping and Spicy and Thrilling and , and , and ... oh I forgot..the Banter and humour!!!!

Holy cow! This was one of the best books that I’ve read this year. The suspense and on the edge of your seat tension was unmatched! It was a phenomenal why choose because as I kept reading, I loved every man more and more. All the characters are rough around the edges but when the emotions get pouring, it’s nothing but heartbreaking and gut wrenching. That cliffhanger almost had me screaming at the top of my lungs because WHAT?!
Ryker, Ronan, and Damon each have strikingly different personalities but you can’t help but love every single of them. Ronan is so madly in love with Chloe, Ryker has been down bad since the beginning, and Damon would do anything for her even sacrificing himself to protect those he loves. Chloe is an absolute spitfire with such a tragic backstory that I wanted to hug her the entire time. I’ve never read another female character that is so full of strength, grit, and resilience. I hope in book two we get to see the exact woman that she is when she’s been scorned far too many times.

Thank you to the Smuthood for sending me this arc. I love a why choose but stuck to fantasy but I wish I’d picked up a dark romance one sooner because I loved this book.
Devoured it in one evening, it was traumatic, dramatic and not romantic, or maybe romantic in a possessive obsessive kidnapping kind of way.
There is a previous connected series to this one which I’ve not read but the characters are in it and I didn’t feel like I missed the plot but I will be reading the previous series now definitely.
It’s mafia, it’s dark, it’s why choose but done so well. The spice is minimal and the story sells the story, it just doesn’t stop.
Chloe is on the run after a traumatic event that leaves her parents dead and two brother of the Lombardi family looking for her. Chance encounter means they find her but now they have her bodyguard to deal with and secrets upon secrets upon secrets to unravel. What is the truth?
Excellent story telling, dark but sexy and definitely check the trigger warnings.

This was such a strong start to the new series, though I did have to go back and read my notes from Syndicate of the Legion because I could not remember who everyone was at first. Once I got myself back into it though, I was fully hooked again. The vibes, the tension, the chaos, all of it pulled me right back in.
Ryker has me completely obsessed already. The way he is with Chloe is a little bit unhinged, very protective and exactly the kind of crazy I love. Damon is harder for me because he clearly loves her but some of the things he has done in the past are questionable. I was glad he came through for her in this book even if it took him long enough to get there. Ronan is so gone for Chloe and I love that but his choices in the present had me raging. I was so relieved when he finally got his head out of his a$$ and showed up for her properly.
That ending has me desperate for book two because now I am stressed about what is coming next for Damon and Ronan. I can already tell this series is going to hurt me in the best way and I am absolutely ready for the drama.

I read this after enjoying the Mafia Matchmaker series by the same author. While I knew it had a darker vibe from the title, I wasn't prepared for what felt like a different writing style. The logical progression of this story was hard for me. I understand the author was trying to build suspense but I was more frustrated about not knowing than intrigued. Maybe that was the intent but it definitely colored my view of the book.
Also, the introduction of some of the characters made me feel like this was not supposed to the first book in the series. It works completely fine as the first book. You do not need to know the side characters to understand this book. It is just a quirk of mine that if I know other characters have their own book before the one I'm reading I feel put out if I haven't already read it.
All of this to say, while not my favorite it is still an enjoyable book. I will be looking for other things by this author and continuing the series when the next one comes out.

What happens when they find you?
Run Little Liar is the first book in a new series by Montana Fyre and sets up a new mafia saga that you won’t put down.
Chloe has been running for 10 years, but her luck has run out and the Lombardis have found her. Between the Lombardis, her employers, a shadow that once helped her escape, and her new body guard, Chloe is stuck in the middle of powerful factions, and her only choice may be to run.
Chloe’s story is dark mafia at its best. Her childhood friends, Damon and Ronan, are her enemies. Ryker, her bodyguard, is something she can’t explain. A shadow from her past is someone she can’t forget. Their story is filled with twist, turns, violence, and heat. Chloe’s story will enrage you, pull at your heart, and lock you in as you move between past and present to see why she keeps running and to see the story of the men that have infiltrated her life.
Come jump into the Lombardi Legacy and see if Chloe can keep running.

Run Little Liar completely pulled me into its dark, emotional world and refused to let go. This was my first book by Montana Fyre, and I was hooked from the very beginning. The story is packed with heartbreak, secrets, danger, and complicated relationships that kept me turning the pages because I just had to know what was going to happen next.
Chloe was such a strong heroine, and I loved watching her fight after everything she’d been through. Ryker quickly became one of my favorites with how fiercely protective and loyal he was, while Ronan and Damon added so much history, tension, and emotion that I couldn’t stop thinking about them. The mystery kept me guessing, and every reveal made me even more invested.
That ending completely caught me off guard and left me needing the next book immediately. Thank you to Literally Yours PR and Montana Fyre for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. As always, these are my honest thoughts and opinions.

Run Little Liar is a book I sat down to read and could not put it down. I was enthralled with wvery aspect of this book. You get a piece of the backstory to start off with and then Montana wove it in throught the present tense and how the timeline was provided it just worked.
Two brothers from Chloe's past collided with her present sending Chloe and Ryker on a cat and mouse game against Ronan and Damon. The sexual tension was so thick I actually felt bad for some of the characters.
This is a dark romamce so please be mindful of TW. Also a topic not often touched upon affects Chloe and this could cause TW for some readers.
This ends on the mother of all cliffhangers and I really need book 2 to be ready now.
Thank you Montana for providing me this copy and these are my honest opinions.

Run Little Liar is the first part of the Lombardi Legacy. It is a trilogy so be aware that it does end on a cliffhanger.
Chloe has been born into a mafia family. Her father is the head of the family. Her friends are Damon and Ronan. They grew up together. Chloe wanted Ronan but Damon is a good friend. Damon disconnected himself from Chloe. She is forced to leave when her family is accused of being traitors. Chloe doesn't tell Ronan or Damon she is leaving because she doesn't know who to trust. In the world she lives in the family will find her. Even though she has a bodyguard, Ryker, Chloe is afraid.
I loved how Chloe was so strong and protective of her family. She was a great character. This story is full of twists and you will be there along for the ride. I look forward to the next story.
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy.

This book kept me gripped from the start. This is a true gritty mafia romance with lies, betrayal, torture, kidnapping with the addition of my favourite why choose trope, which means of course, a few men who may have feelings for the FMC
You have this great lovers to enemies dynamic between the Lombardi brothers and Chloe.
Forbidden romance with the bodyguard and Chloe and then a mysterious fourth man.
This book takes you back and forth between the past and Chloe's current situation and you get the history between Ronan, Damon and Chloe.
We are left on a cliffhanger, but it just makes you want book 2 more. This is the first book in a trilogy so there much more to come.
Check the content warnings as it does get dark.
Thank you to the author and The Smithood for the advanced copy.

🔥 Burn Level: 4.5/5
🌶️ Spice Level: 5/5

Run Little Liar was such a great start to this trilogy!
I loved the whole book, and now I’m already ready for book two because I NEED to know what happens next.
With dark romance, mafia romance, why choose, second chance, forbidden romance, and MMCs who hate each other, there was so much packed into this story that kept me wanting to read.
The fact that this is only book one makes me so curious about where the rest of the trilogy is going to take us—especially after being left with a cliffhanger.
I’m definitely ready to continue this series and see what happens next!
Please check the content warnings before reading, as this story contains darker and potentially triggering themes.
Thank you to The Smuthood and Montana Fyre for the ARC opportunity. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I did not expect to be drawn into this book right from the first page. I didn't know much about the story going into it but I just kept saying just one more chapter. This was a I couldn't put it down book.
Run Little Liar is part of a Trilogy and it does end on a Cliffhanger so heads up on that. (that was pretty much the only thing I knew going into the book) And what a cliffhanger I was desperate for just a few more pages of a sneak peek for book 2.
This book is multiple POV's From the main characters Chloe, Ronan, Damon and Ryker. Chloe Ronan and Damon all knew each other in the past and after a series of events Chloe ran away from them. She has been in hiding only to eventually have Ryker as her undercover bodyguard. She once again crosses paths with Ronan and Damon.
I did not read Cami's series and now I very badly need her story while I wait for book 2.

Right away this book starts of running (literally). Chloe is running for her life. She runs into the arms of Kingston. Who is she running from...Ronan and Damon. Yet, there is one more man that rounds out this relationship and that is Ryker.
OMG. I devoured this book. I love it so, so much. I can't wait for the next book in this trilogy. Honestly, I don't have a favorite at this time. This is not to say this is a bad thing, just that each guy is on equal playing field. Ok, maybe Damon but that is only because he has always wanted Chloe but due to family obligations, had to take up the mantle.
All the emotions, angst, spice... I am here for it all. If you love why choose books that feature MMCs that are morally dark grey, then, you will want to pick up this book!

Run Little Liar was a great beginning to the Lombardi Legacy books!
Chloe is determined to leave the place that she has lived her entire life no matter the consequences. She escapes in the middle of the night and finds refuge in the only person she knows that can help.
Skip forward ten years and the people that Chloe has been hiding from have now found her and are determined to make her theirs again.
Chloe will stop at nothing to make sure that she does not fall into the wrong hands, but sometimes you can hope for one thing and the complete opposite happens.
Run Little Liar is a dark why choose romance and let me say that cliffhanger was not what I was expecting! I cannot wait to read more about Chloe and her guys!
