Waiting for You

Rate this book
I just knocked on my ex-fiancé's door at midnight.

And another woman answered.

Eight years ago, I mailed back his engagement ring to protect him from my father, and tonight I'd come to win him back.

She opened the door wearing a red nightgown, and he was standing behind her with no shirt on.

She glanced back at him as he pulled the toothbrush out of his mouth, his fingers crushing the handle.

I opened my mouth to apologize as she settled back against his chest and waited for him to explain.

Her hand slid up his bare arm while he stood frozen, his eyes pinned on me.

She looked up at him and asked,

"Baby… do you know her?"

Book 2 was better in the sense that the author explores how family dynamics can influence a couples trajectory both good and bad. This couple's love endure 8 years of missed opportunity because they didn't have boundaries and each had taken a position that was counter productive to their best interest. They do eventually get to an HEA, healthy family boundaries and a position of putting each other as their priority.

Phenomenal

I have really enjoyed these books! The characters all have their own issues, but they work through them. I love how despite going through hurt and pain, they found a way to stand strong on their own and together as a family! Amazing!
