Book 6 The Cloverleah Pack
Can be read as a standalone

Jax Cooper never planned to meet his mates. A strong wolf shifter, who keeps his Fae heritage hidden, all Jax wants to do is keep his pack safe and his secrets tucked away. But when men turn up from another pack, all intent on stealing the two men Jax knows to be his, then Jax's wolf has a hard time controlling himself.

Aelfric and Fafnir have been together for three hundred years. Not that unusual for two Sidhe Fae princes. Having known since puberty that their third destined mate was a wolf shifter, they are overjoyed when Dean, the sweet Omega from the Cloverleah pack gets in touch with them to let them know some possible mates have been found. Hurrying to the Cloverleah Pack, the two men not only find their mate, but also find out that the Cloverleah pack is in trouble - and it's coming from all sides.

Trying to keep his head, and his mates, Jax has to rely on his friends from the pack to keep things safe. Between two other packs, vampires, the Shifter Council and the Fae Council all trying to intervene in what should be a simple mating process Jax has to wonder if keeping the two beautiful men, destined to be his, is worth losing his life over.

Warning: This is an m/m/m story - it contains strong language, some violence, and acts of male on male sex. This work of fiction includes a beautiful blond Fae with a tendency to have tantrums, a strong wolf shifter who would never describe himself as a nice person and a dark haired Fae who is desperately trying to hold them all together.

Mmm... wish it were more satisfying.

A shifter/fae polyamorous story. On the face of it, this reads like an alpha and his mates story that usually works for me. Unfortunately, it features a highlighted and coveted "anal virginity" that reeks of patriarchal BS that general sets me on edge; the multiple references tweaked me every time. Additionally, the species' integration theme which advocates a paranormal equality is negated by exclusionary theme of the "chosen one" Cloverleah Pack. I know this is a common paradox in real life, but the illogical nature of it makes me cranky.

What I like about this series is that there is always so much going on. This book was no exception. Matings, villains, power plays and lots of loving. This MMM pairing was well written. I just wish I got more page time for Aelfric and what changed his mind about Jax and shifters. He told them himself but I wish it was on page. He was kind of a brat most of the book, but the author managed to turn him around in the end. Told from multiple POVs this was steamy, fast paced and very entertaining story about breaking misconceptions and learning that change at times is good.

Review still stands. I still found Aelfric selfish at the start but he made up for it by the end. I also thought Jax could of given a little bit too. He kind of expected the fae to do all the bending to fit in with him. Eventually they worked it out

I love this series. Jax has always been a bit of an enigma. In this one we find out all of his secrets including the fact that he never intended to claim his two fae mates. Knowing the fae the way Jax does, he realises early that his mates will never see him as an equal so therefore he decides not to claim them. When Dean meets the two fae in the previous book, it opens a can of worms and has Jax fighting his wolf instincts to claim the two men. Only when other wolves decide to try and claim them does his wolf break free.
The first meeting of the mates doesn’t go well; in fact the first week together doesn’t go well. I liked that. I liked that it didn’t magically all work out easily because they were fated mates. Personalities got in the way.
The two fae Aelfric and Fafnir have been together for 300 years, and definitely are approaching finding their third with preconceived notions. But were quick to understand and apologise for thinking that their third would not be a pet that they could ignore.
Aelfric was a selfish character in the beginning and had a lot of growing to do. I felt for Fafnir, who finally had a chance of having someone to look after him. He showed great strength to go after what he wanted.
The fact that most of this pack are alphas, and alphas mated to other alphas the dynamics of this pack are at times hilarious. Especially when they are going into dangerous situations and everyone is trying to protect their mates. But underneath they are all a great family unit.

So while I did think this book was a really good addition to this series!
I am not really sure what I feel about this ménage which for some reason just did not connect to me.
With this book you get Jax who is a Dire wolf who is also part Fae. Well his fated mates are two Fae princes named Aelfric and Fafnir. Well Aelfric I was really not a fan of his character I did like Fafnir and Jax's characters I have to be honest and say the way this two grow together without Aelfric even though what he did was wrong but to not even work it out with him but to keep growing as mates just Jax and Fafnir was wrong to me. So to be honest I did really not see enough of them together to have a opinion on their ménage because after the two deciding to keep going and let Aelfric go of on his own was kind of a big no to me. To have all three be mates in my mind I need them to care about each other equally and I am not sure I felt that in this book because if you cared you would try to work things out with all of the men who are a part of this ménage. Now I am not saying they do not work it out it just took awhile for it to happen.
So as much as I really did like this story even though I am not really a fan of Aelfric's attitude or the way he acts. I thought it just felt like they took Aelfric in as a mate because it was fated but I was left not sure if they all felt the same way about each other as mates.
You do get a lot of angst, action and steam in this book too! Also loved the way this author wrote about these shifters and Fae together.

So I did really like this story just not sure how I feel about Jax, Fafnir and Aelfric together as mates.
I received this book free in exchange for an honest review from Inked Rainbow Reads.

I didn't love the policule in this book that much and their relationship wasn't super development due to all the Fae drama in the background but it was still a great deal of derpy fun!

Also as someone who's been in a policule for a while the idea of three-way making out is just disgusting 🤮😵‍💫 but to each his own I guess x)

One of the most pretentious books I've had the misfortune to read.

I know it is all about MMM fated mates and the surrounding world to support that and given the ratings by previous readers I wanted to see what the fuss was all about.
The writing style is naive, there is an overabundance of punctuation, there are numerous editorial errors and the whole premise of grown alpha men calling another alpha 'precious ' was my absolute limit. I couldn't finish the book.
It's one thing to write about urban fantasy but at least make it realistic.
The characterisation is formulaic, not one bit empathetic and I truly couldn't care less if they all got eaten by the vampires.
I do like urban fantasy, Lexi Blake is a prime example of how to slightly alter the world to incorporate menage, myth, vampire and wolf.
It felt like a fifteen year old girl had written this aimed at fourteen year olds despite the storyline including sex and swearing.
I can't say this is not my genre because if it's well written then it is.
Those readers already familiar with the author's writing style will probably go ahead and purchase the book but if you want an escape into an alternative world and appreciate good writing this is not a book I can recommend.

I have decided to read the entire Cloverleah series, despite its flaws. As with the other books in this series, the author has written it in the wrong dialect of English: American characters should not speak British English. There are also grammar problems and misused words (the author seldom gets "lie" vs. "lay" correct).

This story has the Cloverleah pack getting involved with Fae and a fated-mate polyamorous triad. The author continues exploring the idea that fated mates need not have insta-love or even like each other. One of the fated-mates, Aelfric, is a spoiled, self-centered, immature brat. While he does undergo character development, I felt the author didn't give the reader enough details and I don't think Aelfric had to work hard enough to redeem himself.

The story suffers from too many subplots. These really should have been streamlined and balanced more evenly.

Despite its many flaws, I actually did like this novel. There are fun characters, silly scenes, and an interesting take one the dynamics of a menage triad.

Great m/m/m paranormal romance

This time it is Jax that gets mated to two fae men. Jax is half wolf shifter and has led his life that way ever since his first shift and subsequent disowning by his fae family. He doesn't want to claim his mates until wolves from another pack try to mate them and his wolf takes over. There are so many problems from other packs, a vampire coven, the paranormal council and the elder fae council all wanting to take the power in our pack. They all think a small pack of gay wolves has too much power with ten alphas, a rare omega, the Shifter Guardian and now two fae. There are battles, betrayal, danger, suspenseful action and lots of love between mates and strong family in this growing pack.

Such fun - I loved it. There's something about the magic of these stories that gets me every time - it's community, mixture of paranormals and their skills (inherent & learnt), sense of family and the whole good v evil. We always know that good will win and the boys will figure it all out by the end :)

As the title, the fae enter the fray full on and so we get a new species to focus upon in the Cloverleah Pack. Their romance is by no means straight forward with cultural barriers and personal prejudices to be broken. But through the book, the MCs (particularly Jax and Aelfric) realise that communication is a must, and that long-held beliefs must be reconsidered.

Narrated by John Solo - excellent. Looking forward to the next narration in this series.

Jax has kept part of his heritage hidden, that is until his mates find him. Dean had encountered two Fae princes and heard of their search for their third mate. After seeing Dean's rendering of their mating mark Jax knows that he is that third mate even if he's not willing to admit it. When others try to claim the Fae and threaten the pack Jax has to protect both his mates and the pack. Navigating a tripartite relationship when two of the three have an existing long-term relationship is difficult. The reality of the power structure adds further complications for Jax, who hasn't had anything to do with his Fae past in centuries. Learning to love one person is hard, learning to love two is a whole new level.

Introducing the Fae into the shifter world was weird. This is one of those books who's Author has the subtext of "SCREW my own world's rules, lets mix it up."

In this Cloverleah book you meet a shifter who is destined to be part of a Throuple. If the regular pairings in this series isn't intense enough, can you imagine what it might be like to have the hots described in these books for TWO guys at once? One wolf gets to find out just what it will be like, AND find out exactly what happens when one of them is mired in the prejudice of his peoples thinking that shifters are just something to look at and never be an equal.

Excellent

Jax has been a favorite character of mine in this series and I was very happy to see him find his own HEA in this book. I have to wonder how the Sidhe Elders originally convinced the Regents to participate in the ritual. Did they manufacture a crisis with the stone as a solution? Or did they introduce the "ritual" to each new successor until all four were under their control?

I loved the ending to this book and how it opens up so much more in this world as well as more opportunities for the Cloverleah Pack to grow.

Adding strength to the pack

The Cloverleah pack is adding mates and members to their pack and it hasn't gone unnoticed in the paranormal world. Shifters, vampires and now even the Fae wants to meddle and disrupt the peace.
But although there's trouble there's also love and this time it's Max who finds not only one but two Far mates.
I really liked this triad and even if they had some initial problems they complemented each other beautifully.

Absolute Leseempfehlung <3

The conflict in their relationship seemed to come out of nowhere and then it was resolved by Jax literally just saying "I forgive you" and that was it? Super strange.

I did enjoy the politics of the fae and the fun they had with magic.

Jax knows how the Fae feel about shifters so he never intended to claim his Fae mates. When a fake wolf shifter tries to claim Jax's mates, Jax fights to claim them.
More excitement happens with the Fae Elders and the Shifter's Council interfering in this exciting read.

While i like most Lisa Oliver books, to me this one stands on a completely different level. Its spicy, 3P and goes through that without overlooking it, has an amazing plot outside just the romance that also expands on the characters and their histories/personalities. Its a complete 5 star for me.

Each Book is Better Than the Last.

This series just keeps getting better and better. The story arc is fantastic. It’s full of drama, suspense, action, spice and romance. The characters are charismatic and captivating. I can’t wait to read the next book.
