AFTER THE FIRE by Cora Seton - If the first book in this box set is any indication of whats to come these are going to be scorcher stories.

Adam Carter and Brynn Price grew up together. Adam had always had a thing for Brynn but after only one date she dumped him and suddenly was married to a loser. Now 5 years later Adam is a firefighter in their small town of Chance Creek, Montana and getting lots of calls to Brynn house for small type fires. Adam has a feeling that something isnt right in her marriage and in a round about way she is asking for help.

Brynn and her sister grew up with two alcoholic parents who if they werent fighting were neglecting their children. All Brynn ever wanting was to get out of Chance Creek. But that option was taken away when something bad happened and to protect someone she loved she had to marry a man she didnt love .

For being a short story there was a lot of story to this. The reveal of what really happened years ago and the sacrifice Brynn made was shocking and heartbreaking. Adam was a great man that never got over Brynn and was finally there for her when things came to a head.

WHERE THERE'S SMOKE by Becky McGraw - Boy talk about two people that butt heads. Austin McBride loved being a Firefighter-Paramedic but in the town he lived in they couldn't afford one full time and he could live off a part-time salary. So he's now a ranch foreman in another small Texas town. When one of his guys get hurt after being knocked off a bull Austin's paramedic knowledge comes in handy. But when the current captain of the fire department shows up on the ranch after hearing the call she and Austin dont get along at all.

Sunny Gleason is a single mom trying to make it in a man's world. She has a huge chip on her shoulder against men and thinks Austin is the most arrogant man she's ever met. Problem is she is confusing arrogance with confidence but her pride and self esteem keep messing up her mind.

Sunny for sure had issues she wanted the assistant Fire Chief's job and was going to fight and claw her way to get it. What she couldn't see was she didn't have the leadership or people skills for the job. Austin also wanted the job but had come to care for her and her son so decided to help her attain what she wanted along with showing she needed to let go of the past that was sabotaging not only her job but also her relationship with family and co-workers.

End this end after some counseling and believing the love from Austin, Sunny made some big changes in her life that worked out well for everyone.

SADDLES AND SOOT by Cynthia D’Alba - Georgina Grayson has just taken a job covering for vet while he's on vacation in Whispering Springs, Texas. She decided that this would be a perfect opportunity to burn the past of a cheating fiance away in the fire pit not knowing that the small town had a fire ban due to the hot and dry weather. When the fire department shows up she is read the right act by one of the firefighters Tanner Marshal.

Tanner is back in town to take care of his family ranch and his two teenage siblings while his parents are off on a road trip. He's also one of the volunteer firefighters in the small town. He has no patients for stupidity and he and Georgina get off on the wrong foot. But as Georgina is now covering the town's vet services and he has a horse that's close to giving birth the two have to deal with each other.

Tanner really didnt want to like the new lady vet but there is just something about the feisty red head that attracts him. After some funny one up manship between the two of them they finally decide on a fling with an expiration date. Your rooting for these two to figure out they really belong together as the story goes along.

CONTROLLED BURN by Delilah Devlin - Seven years ago Carly Lohan made a huge mistake that she is still having to do retribution for. She had a crap childhood and in a moment of anger did something that ended up catching Caldera Canyon on fire and nearly costing Jeremiah McCord his family ranch.

She's been paying him back financially via the court order and now she is back in town to finish up the last of her community service by helping with a controlled burn. Problem is Jeremiah thinks she is still a fire bug and keeps her close to make sure history doesnt repeat itself.

What he doesnt count on is being attracted to her. As he comes to realize that Carly didnt have a easy time growing up and really didnt mean to cause the fire he realizes he may have misjudged her.

HIS FIREFLY COWGIRL by Beth Williamson - Dax Blackwood and Sophie Evans grew up in Tanger, Texas together. They thought they had a lasting love but circumstances tore them apart and Sophie left Dax and Tanger behind 5 years ago.

Sophie is now a fire insurance investigator and when Dax's family restaurant burns to the ground she is sent to investigate. Dax is now in charge of the town's volunteer fire department and its not a happy reunion. But its not long before these two spontaneously combust with their unresolved feelings.

This was a start of a new series and we meet quite of few of the Blackwood's who will be in future stories. Along with Dax and Sophie mending their past there is also the suspense of the firebug who burns more than just the restaurant in town.

HER VOLUNTEER COWBOY by Donna Michaels - The love story and comradery between a large group of friends defiantly made this a nice read but the emotional punch it packed with a loved character of the town having Alzheimer really tugged on the heart strings.

This is the 6th book in the Harland County Series and the first I have read. It would have been a benefit to have read the previous books but I went and read the blubs on them all so I got the jest of who everyone was. Gwen Gablomski has come in to town to cover for her friend who is pregnant and due any time. One her first night into town out with her friends she runs into the man she had a one night stand with at another friends wedding. As he is also friends with the guys her friends are married to its kinda hard to avoid one another.

Gwen and Tanner both still remember their one night together vividly but neither is looking for anything permanent even though the sparks are still there between them. Gwen just retired from her life as a supermodel and hasn't really figured out what she wants to do. During her time living that life she experienced somethings she rather forget. Tanner is a part time firefighter and in the National Guard. His long time mentor and boss has Alzheimer's and Tanner is doing what he can for the man not wanting to have to put him in a home. Most of this story was funny and upbeat but the parts with Barry were heartbreaking and to realistic.

COWBOY'S MATCH by Lexi Post - A unique series that has the owner of a Nudist Resort only hiring those that need a second chance. Lacey Winters was burned bad by her high school love. After being accused and basically convicted of starting a fire she not only loses her boyfriend who believes she did it but also her reputation that even one she was cleared the town still ostracized her.

Now 8 years later she is hired on at Poker Flat Nudist Resort as an accountant due to her past.. They had a few people having problems with the resort and what is was but nothing like fire that just took out new construction on the site. Lacey cannot believe that life would be so cruel as to have the Lieutenant of the Firefighters that's come to battle the blaze be none other than her ex-boyfriend and it doesn't take long before he's accusing her of starting this one too.

Cole Hatcher cannot believe his eyes when he looks up at the scene of a fire and sees Lacey. He's never gotten over her but he's also never believed in her innocence. Now with another fire that she's at he has a hard time believing its a coincidence. There were a few times I wanted to knock Cole upside the head. Yes he is a very honest and straight and narrow person who along with being a firefighter he also rescues abused horses and nurses them back to health – great guy right but geez he just couldnt look past the past and let it go.

Few other things happen at the Resort to add some suspense to the story along with its misfit group of employees that provide some entertainment. I enjoyed this story very much..

HELLFIRE, TEXAS by Elle James - Kinsey Phillips is on the run from an abusive ex. Finally finding her chance to get away she ends up back in her hometown of Hellfire, Texas and immediately has to be rescued when her car blows up. Becket Grayson on his way home from required training for the fire department happens to be driving by and saves Kinsey.

Kinsey grew up with the Grayson family and always had a crush on the oldest son, Beckett. Even though she is glad to see him she fears her ex will find her and cause him harm but Becket wont hear of her leaving.

This had plenty of suspense and as with all of the stories in this boxset a realistic view of fighting fires. I'm ready for the rest of the Grayson siblings stories..

REKINDLED by Paige Tyler - Paige Tyler kicks off a new series (non paranormal) with Rekindled which is about Firefighters in Dallas. Jax Malloy and his team are called to a hotel fire. One of the women he rescues happens to be his best friends sister who he hasnt seen in 10 years. Skye Chandler and her brother Dane lost their parents years ago to a fire in their home. Skye shortly after left for college and never returned. Now after breaking up with her boyfriend and quitting her job she's returned home to start a new career.

Jax offers for her to stay at his place after the fire and two get reacquainted and find themselves attracted to each other. This causes a bit of a rif between Jax and Dane but when there is another big fire and Jax is hurt everyone comes together and realizes their may be more going on than just the typical fire bug.

This was a good start to the series and I am looking forward to Dane's story.

TEXAS WILDFIRE by Sable Hunter - Spousal abuse is at the forefront of this suspense. Titan Sloan has been in love with his Captain's wife since he first met her. Yes, he know this is wrong and he just keeps his feelings to himself.

Makenna Wade has been living a nightmare her whole marriage. To the outside world her husband is a hero firefighter who now commands his own team in Hays County, Texas but behind closed doors he is a sadistic monster who has abused and beaten her their whole marriage. Makenna has also been attracted to Titan but knows her husband would kill her if she ever thought of leaving him.

One day Makenna has enough and runs to Titan and tell him her horror story. He promises to protect her and help her get a divorce.

Along with the drama of Makenna's life there has also been a rash of fires around town that start to look like they are arson and that the person responsible may have been doing this for many years and is a person close to home.

This was a good suspense with just enough detail about the abuse Makenna suffered to be disgusted and also for those that hate cheating of any form – there is no sex before Makenna files for divorce. The book was very tastefully done considering all the taboo subject matters.

Where There's Smoke: Becky McGraw
It's been a while since the last time I read a Becky McGraw book, but what I did remember of them was that they were hot. And she does not disappoint in Where's There Smoke. The hero and heroine start out at cross purposes from the very beginning, with our heroine trudging across a ranch yard in a suit and fireman's boots, and Austin dealing with a ranch hand who had been gored by a bull. Think about that for a minute and see what images it conjures. The entire book is like that. Can I just say "marijuana grow?" I laughed out loud as the fire crew fought to contain a brush fire that was anything but!

I think what I liked the most about this book is that the stereotypical male/female roles were reversed. Sunny is the ambitious woman who is making enemies among the crew, and Austin is the likable team mate that everyone wants to work for. The boorish attitudes in this book were coming from Sunny - her name not always a fitting moniker for her attitude or personality. But Austin recognizes early what is going on with Sunny and I love how he approaches the challenge: He applies for the job he knows she wants, a job he doesn't want, just to force her to take a look at what is going on in her life. He gets her to address her problems and she comes out better on the other end - and they come out the other end together. Love it.

Her Volunteer Cowboy: Donna Michaels
I always love coming back to Harland County, TX! Donna Michaels has introduced us to yet another wonderful, alpha, military, cowboy hero in Tanner. And add in a firefighter to boot. This guy is just about the perfect alpha hero. He even takes special care of an older man - his mentor - as his health is failing. It's hard to believe that with all of that going for him that he hasn't been snatched up yet. But perhaps he'd just been waiting for the right woman - and has likely found her in Gwen.

We met Gwen briefly in a previous book and she's a nice tie-in to the author's Citizen Soldier series (the Wynes). She's in town to help out while we meet the next generation of Harland County - the birth of Jordan's baby. We the reader discover early that Gwen and Tanner had met before and the heat they exuded in the Poconos has traveled clear down to Harland County, because the sparks between Gwen and Tanner are flying.

I liked how Gwen and Tanner both have some emotional baggage holding them back - Gwen with her years as a model and behaviors she's reformed, and the impact of those behaviors that she's still feeling. Tanner, who seems to be the one who is always helping, always volunteering, is struggling with his mentor declining due to Altzhimers. The two have some hiccups in their road to happily ever after, especially when Tanner lets his anger get the best of him. But, they are both good communicators and are quick to realize what they were to each other.

The author provides a very sensitive look into life with a person with Alzhimers and the emotional impact it has on the patient as well as those around him. I thought it was very tastefully done and gives me a look into those living with the disease.

One thing I really liked about this book is how the author transitions from one point of view to the other. In many books, you'll be hearing from one point of view and then they'll be a break - a chapter break or a section break - and then it'll be the other character's point of view. In this book, a scene will progress and all of a sudden, as the reader, I would realize I was hearing from the other character and I didn't realize it. I thought the best example of that is when Gwen was talking to her girlfriends in the ice cream shop, talking about men of course, and the men walk in. They join the conversation and almost immediately she's able to shift to Tanner's point of view. It was so seamless that I had to go back and find where it changed. I thought it was fantastic.

Hellfire, TX: Elle James
There's a 12 alarm fire in Hellfire, TX and it's burning between Kinsey and Becket. This book, being released initially as part of the 12-alarm cowboys box set, is hot. The author manages to develop a new relationship between Kinsey and Becket while accurately and sensitively portraying the after effects of domestic abuse. I really appreciated how the author includes the emotional reaction of a domestic abuse victim, how the support of other people can help that victim, and other resources available to a victim, all in the context of a contemporary romance. I also loved the firefighter aspects of the story - give me a cowboy AND a firefighter in the same character - yummy. The author also introduces us to other members of the Grayson family, which I could only hope means there are more stories yet to come from Hellfire, TX.

Received ARC Copy of COME HELL OR HIGH WATER by the author Sabrina York for honest review

If a romance story makes me smile while reading it, it gets 5 Stars, and Sabrina York's smexxy cowboy tale did just that!

Cade Silver has had a crush on Lisa Binder since high school. When he sees that she's back in town, he is determined to win her heart. Lisa Binder is overcoming a bad divorce with a cheating husband and has sworn off relationships. When she meets Cade, she's open to exploring a physical releationship, but her heart has a different plan.

I love what I call "feel good romances", and readers will enjoy this installment come Hell or high water. Highly recommend!

Fave Quotes:

"He'd had to fight his whole life for every scrap. He'd had to fight for everything. He would fight for her."

"This was something more. This was something all-consuming. Something that lit his soul on fire and made him ache with a hunger he'd never before known."

"No matter what pain might await her in the future, she had to have this man in her life...life was nothing without him."

"There's no avoiding pain in life, there's only not living. And I want to live. I want to embrace it all. I want to have it all...I want you."

I received an ARC of Saddles and Soot from Author Cynthia D'Alba for an honest review.

There is everything right about this book! The author weaves the love story of Tanner. a rancher/firefighter and Georgie, the new vet in town with sizzling hot sexual tension, heartbreaking angst and just the right amount of humor. You will want to shake Tanner to wake him up to see what he is missing and then hug him when he stands up for Georgie. Then there is Georgie, she's had her heart broken before and not willing to go there again. They both battle that fire in their hearts. This books grabs you from the beginning and keeps you reading until the very last word! So grab a fan, turn down the AC and get ready for the Heat!

I can't wait to read the rest of the books in this Boxset!

Well, it finally happened. I read every story in an anthology, this anthology. I not only read all of the contributions, but I liked them all. I even went and purchased books by some of the authors. For the honesty portion--I purchased this for the books by Becky McGraw and Donna Michaels. I have read and re-read everything by these ladies. If you have never read anything by them: spend the dollar now. You won't regret it. The collection was a super steal for just their contributions, but it was a downright crime to get all of the enjoyment packed into the collection for less than a dollar.

I purchased this box set because I love half the authors in the set. By the end of the set I loved them all. Cowboys who fight fire and can start a fire in every reader. Each book is different and you wont want to leave once you get into the set. Took me a week to read, did not want to miss once minute of the action and some wonderful suspense. If you have not read these authors before and want a taste of their work this is a wonderful box set to start with. Every author brings you into the story and keeps you there till the end. Recommend to all reads who love a good hot read... fire that is... Happy Reading.

AFTER THE FIRE by Cora Seton ////
Set in the Chance Creek universe, After the Fire features firefighter Adam Carter and the unforgettable Brynn Price nee Nelson. Though they shared just one date back when they were teens, Adam has never been able to completely get Brynn off his radar. He also can't understand why she stays with her deadbeat husband.

After the Fire is a great, page-turning read. I definitely look forward to diving into the Chance Creek series!

I have had the chance to read three of the stories in the 12 Alarm Cowboys boxed set. Oh my goodness if the rest of the set is as awesome as these three, well this is a must have set!

Cowboy's Match is the first chance I have had to read anything by Lexi Post. Oh my goodness this lady can write a hot story! This may be my first taste of her work but it most certainly will not be my last!

Lacey Winters has been through a lot. She has not had an easy life and has suffered a lot of heartache. She has built up walls around her heart to try to protect herself. She now works The Poker Flat Nudist Resort. She is a blessing to her boss and handles everything and anything that needs done. Her work family at the The Poker Flat Nudist Resort are a tight knit group and very protective of each other. I loved how this group of people has been brought together to form caring family.

When tragedy strikes with a fire at the resort Lacey does not expect to run into her ex-boyfriend Cole Hatcher. Cole certainly did not expect to run into Lacey either.

Cole is the perfect firefighter/cowboy. He's strong, passionate, charming, caring, inquisitive, and of course incredibly handsome. He started training to be a firefighter after an event from his and Lacey's past. I will let you read the story for the rest of the details there because I sure do not want to spoil anything for you. Cole has been through many changes since the last he seen Lacey. One thing that hasn't changed is the intense attraction between these two. It's a darn good thing that Cole is a fireman because these two are flammable when they are together. WOW! I didn't know a Popsicle could be that hot!

There are many secrets and regrets from the past that are holding Lacey and Cole apart. They both have a lot to deal with in order for Lacey to be the forever match to light Cole's fire.

Cowboy's Match has a great storyline full of drama, suspense, some really nice steamy scenes, twist and turns I certainly did not see coming, a couple of very dramatic secrets are revealed and an incredible reunion romance.

I can not wait to read more of Lexi Post's work. I will be looking forward to reading more great stories from another very talented author.

Sabrina York is one of my very favorite steaming hot authors. This lady is called her Royal Hotness for a reason. She has a tremendous talent for putting together a captivating storyline with a lot of steaming hot passion.

Come Hell Or High Water is part of the Stud Ranch Series where Ford and Crystal met. I loved the chance to catch up with the characters I met in The Real McCoy and see how things were going on the Stud Ranch. Come Hell or High Water will read just fine as a stand alone though if you haven't had a chance to read The Real McCoy.

Lisa Binder has returned to her hometown to recover from the lying cheating men from her past. She has had enough of bad relationships and just wants to bake. I found a quick connection with Lisa. I liked this girl's spunk. She has a fun attitude even though she's been hurt. She's smart, charming, and one heck of baker if the way the Silver family devours her treats is any indication.

One the hotel Lisa is staying in catches fire during the night, she doesn't think she is going to make it out. Until her Hero, Cade Silver waltzes in through the flames and debris to save her from the demons of fire.

OK, how is possible not to instantly adore this story right there? I thought Cade was adorable from the beginning of the story but when he sweeps Lisa off her feet and out to safety, it certainly was an awe moment for me.

I really enjoyed watching Cade and Lisa get to know each other again. The attraction between these two goes from smoldering hot to combustible flames.

I like the concept of the Stud Ranch it is a really interesting idea and adds some humorous scenes to this awesome story.

There are a few dramatic moments that had me holding my breath and flipping pages just as fast as I could. Cade has a dangerous career and there are moments when he is in serious danger. Sabrina York has done a fabulous job once again. Come Hell or High Water is one really awesome story. There are some really great steamy hot scenes, the romance is great, and the drama is very suspenseful.

I hope we get another chance to visit the Stud Ranch. I think I seen the makings of another great romance towards the end of this story. I can't wait for Ms. York's next release. No matter what genre it is, I know it will be fabulous and a great read.

Elle James is one of my favorite authors for a romantic suspense story with a lot of hot steamy moments. Hellfire, Texas is the first book in a new series. If Hellfire, Texas is any indication (and I'm sure it is) of the rest of the series, well I can't wait for book number two!

Kinsey Phillips has taken all she is going to take from her dirty, rotten, abusive boyfriend. She doesn't know where to turn so she returns to her hometown. She doesn't have any family left and doesn't know what could possibly go wrong next when her car catches fire. Little does she know that is probably the best thing that could happen to her.

Becket Grayson is just an all around good guy. He is kind, passionate, strong, brave, sweet, and oh yeah did I mention handsome? He is everything that Kinsey's ex is not! When he happens upon a burning car on the road he stops to help. It isn't long before he discovers the lady in distress was a neighbor and friend to his brothers growing up. Once he discovers that Kinsey's is in trouble, he is quick to come to her rescue. He takes her home and the Grayson family rallies around her. If they have anything to say about it the buttheaded ex will not get close to Kinsey again.

I could go on and on about this story because I truly did love it. It just was not possible for me to set this book down. I do not want to spoil your pleasure by telling you too much about the story though. So I will tell you that it is one awesome suspense story with some really steaming hot scenes. I really enjoyed watching Becket and Kinsey get to know each other again. The spark of attraction between these two turns into fireworks quite quickly. I didn't know you could do that on a four wheeler. You will know what I'm talking about when you grab your own copy and read this great story.

The whole Grayson family was a joy to meet. I love when families are included in the storyline. I find it adds so much more to the story. I think that is why I love series so much. You get to know so much more about the family and community as the series progresses.

Hellfire, Texas is one of those terrific stories that I started and could not put down until I reached the end. This story is jammed pack with lots of drama and breath taking suspense. So be prepared to sit down and hang on for the ride when you start reading this one.

I have a feeling we lucky readers may get to know more about the Grayson family and the community with the Hellfire series. I know I for one can not wait to see what Ms. James comes up with next. Her books are always wonderful and never disappointment me.

I would highly recommend this box to set to anyone that enjoys a smoking hot story with some drama. From what I have read you are in for a treat. HURRY go grab your copy of this box set now! Be prepared to devour a bunch of great reading!

I was given the opportunity to read these great stories so that I may share my thoughts with you. As always it has been my great pleasure to share my thoughts with you.

A collection of mostly new-to-me authors. Enjoyed most of the stories but found that a few were more insta-sex than insta-love and, as a result, there wasn't much character development in those stories. However, all were a fairly quick read.

Hot firemen cowboys

This is a great collection about hot firemen cowboys and the women they rescue. Each book is a standalone but many are part of a series. I enjoyed every single one.

Hot cowboys and firemen.

As brilliant as ever. I was quickly embroiled in the life on the ranch and the sexy antics that seemed to occur on a regular basis.

Texas Wildfire by Sable Hunter:
Sable Hunter always has a way of pulling me in from the very first page, and this little book was no exception. Titan has loved Makenna, from the first moment he saw her, but because she is the wife of the Captain of the volunteer fire department, he has never acted on it. Makenna, a sweet soul that has not had a happy life. She suffered a horrific tragedy in her childhood, only to get married to a sorry excuse for a man, and suffer unmentionable things in her adulthood. When Titan finds out what is happening to Makenna, he will move every obstacle in his path, to assure her safety and protect her. There was more than one time that I would have yanked Damien, the Captain, thorough my kindle, if I could have, and beat the crap out of him. This is a must read, in true Sable fashion, it will make you laugh, cry, and keep you on the edge of your seat as to what will happen next. Cannot wait to read about the rest of the guys in this book, and hopefully get another glimpse of Titan and Makenna. I fell in love with Freight Train, Houdini and Cola, yeah, you will have to read it to find out what I am talking about. A well deserved five stars!!!
(Will add more as I read through this set)

Where There's Smoke by Becky McGraw:
I have never read a book by Becky McGraw, that I did not thoroughly enjoy, and this one was no exception. Austin McBride is a hot sexy hunk of cowboy, firefighter and medic combined. The fact that he is bored with his life as the foreman of the Double Bar Tee Ranch doesn't sit well with him. He meets Sunny Jane Gleason, the beautiful but stubborn Captain of the local fire department, when one of his ranch hands gets hurt on a bull. She also happens to be the niece of the Fire Chief and is the only person to apply for the job when he retires, well, that is until Austin decides to throw his hat in as well. That's when things start to really heat up, and the sparks really fly, strong will vs. stubborn, not a good combination. A solid five star review for Becky McGraw, and a shout out for a job well done with the five alarm field fire that burned a whole lot more than grassy fields, lol!!

Her Volunteer Cowboy by Donna Michaels:
Going back to Harland County only gets better, this is the sixth book in the series, and as always Donna brings back some of the series regulars. I love that she lets us meet new characters and at the same time lets us stay up-to-date with the old characters that, if you are like me, you fell in love with. This is the story of Tanner and Gwen, who met at the wedding of Jace and Holly, and had one night together before going their separate ways. When Gwen returns to Harland County to help out at her friends restaurant while she is on maternity leave, she is not prepared for the feelings that seeing Tanner again, brings out in her. After all she is there trying to find out who she is and what she really wants to do with her life. And Tanner doesn't have time for a relationship, he is not only a guardsman, and firefighter, but also takes care of his old friend and mentor , Barry, who has alzheimers. Tanner and Gwen cannot see what is happening between them, but all the old gang from Harland County can, they know all the signs for sure! Those parts in the book were hilarious. This was a light hearted, quick, fun read, except on the parts dealing with Barry. I want to commend Donna, on how she handled his part of the story, it was heartbreaking, and unfortunately too real. I am already anticipating the next trip to Harland County!!

***A gifted copy was provided by the author for my honest review****

Received ARC Copy of HELLFIRE, TEXAS by the author ELLE JAMES for honest review

This is a beautiful story of giving trust even when you have no reason to but just going with your gut and your heart. Kinsey Phillips is running away from her abusive ex-boyfriend who used to beat her whenever he felt like it. She just made a run because things were getting too rough. She ends up heading back to the only place she ever felt safe and she ends up coming across an old friend, Becket Grayson who’s a volunteer firefighter & rancher. It’s a good thing too because her car was acting up and she was on the side of the road and her car caught on fire and he came across her there and gets her away from the car before it explodes-pretty much saves her. That’s when they realize they knew each other from years before, growing up together.
Beckett gets Kinsey to talking and finds out why she is back in town. When he finds out why she is fleeing, he is very interested in helping her and it doesn’t hurt that there is an attraction he feels. He doesn’t want to act on that feeling but it’s there. Soon, his family is involved in helping her escape her ex-boyfriend.

Kinsey is ensconced at his family’s ranch and then soon there is a fight to keep her safe from her ex-boyfriend and on top of that going on, there are the spiraling feelings that Beckett and Kinsey are feeling for each other. They try to deny their feelings but they are too intense and the passion cannot be put off . I loved watching the MC interact with each other and the action packed plays going on were great. This is great opening act for the new series. Childhood friends to lovers, love how this plays out. Do they or don’t they is thy question and do they get rid of the nasty ex-boyfriend is the 2nd question.

My rating: 4.5 stars ****

Awesome collection of books. I read Hellfire, Texas by Elle James.
Kinsey Phillips is running as fast and as far as she can from an abusive relationship. In doing so she goes to the only place she knows. Home. She hadn't been there since her parents passed away. There was no one now. No one to miss her or help her if she needed help. The abuse came swift and packed with a punch. Coming home was more about her memories than anything else because she hadn't seen or heard from anyone in years.
Becket Grayson had no idea who the woman was on the side of the road with a car that was on fire and ready to blow, but not stopping wasn't an option. Little did he know that the woman in trouble in more ways than one was little Kinsey who followed him around growing up.
Kinsey had always had a crush on Becket and seeing him again made all of those feelings come rushing back. She knew he never felt the same about her, but having him and his family to turn to was a big relief since she had no one and nowhere else to go.
Becket tries to keep his attraction for Kinsey hidden until this situation with her ex it taken care of, but it gets more and more difficult with her living under the same roof.

I was given an ARC for an honest review. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

Wonderful Story by Sabrina York

I bought this box set specifically to read Come Hell or High Water by Sabrina York. It was a fantastic story. An ex-military war hero comes home to help out on his family ranch. Only the family ranch has been turned into a working ranch during the day and male strip club on the weekend nights. Hooboy! Plus his high school crush, who unbeknownst to her broke his heart, just got back in town. She never noticed him in high school, not when his handsome brother was around. She is fresh out of a bad relationship; she is definitely not looking for someone new. But unfortunately for the war hero his handsome brother is still around and still on the prowl! This was a wonderful story about two people who are trying to find a new beginning after some major life changes. I felt for both characters because they both needed to be loved and accepted for the persons they are. Now I get to go read the other 11 stories, but the story by Sabrina York alone is worth the price of this boxset. Enjoy.

I haven't yet had a chance to read all the stories, but I have read Randi Alexander's HOT IN THE SADDLE.

This short story is packed with life! Treven Arnett, is a firefighter, Delta Pennington is a race car driver. Treven and Delta are flung into each other as Delta's race car spins out and explodes in fire. Treven is so close he can feel the heat of the fire, he races to the car and in getting Delta out of harms way, gets injured himself. Delta survives the accident and finds out that her knight in shining armor has been burned and that he'll need help with keeping up his farm. Delta is ready and willing to help and get to know Treven. As any good story goes, there is a misunderstanding that causes a conflict and hopefully will be resolved into a HEA for this couple. ;-)

I know the remainder of the stories will be just as great! Can't wait to finish the book.

I purchased this set but so far I've only had a chance to read one story: Hellfire Texas by Elle James

Kinsey Phillips is running away from an abusive relationship. Her car catches on fire and Becket Grayson gets her away from it before it explodes. They realize that they know each other from growing up together many years ago. The attraction between Kinsey and Becket can’t be denied even though neither of them is looking for a relationship.

This book has a lot of suspense and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. The sexy time is hot and steamy. This is a complete story with no cliffhanger (yay!). Becket has several siblings and I hope there will be books for each of them.

Another great story by Elle James!

FANTASTIC collection from 12 very talented writers!!

I'm a fan of some of the contributors to this collection and couldn't wait to get my hands on it, and ALL the authors definitely came through with stories that are HOT, but are also filled with a great deal of emotion. They not only provided plenty of sizzle, but mystery and intrigue as well, which kept me interested and absorbed through each story. The only thing that kept me from reading straight through from beginning to end was the need to sleep, eat and oh, yes, work.

If you are a fan of cowboys, firefighters or just a good romance, this collection is a MUST read! If you aren't familiar with the writers who contributed to the collection, it's a great way to introduce yourself to their work. You will definitely be wanting more!!

Out of the anthology I read 'Cowboy's Match', Cole has quite a way with words, “I admit if you walked around naked, your eyes wouldn’t be the only thing I’d look at.” Her body heated as his gaze focused on her. “Do you still wear sexy lingerie beneath your clothes?” Sometimes Cole has to remind his little woman that he needs recovery time, "Cole gazed at her, the love in his eyes filling her soul. “I promise, next time I’ll be more prompt.” The idea of making love again had her tightening her sheath. “Whoa there. Give a stallion a chance to recover.” I loved Cole this was a good book, nothing like a second chance romance.

Great Collection

I spent a lot of time doing individual reviews on every book in this collection, only to find that with my word program on my Kindle it is not possible to copy it and paste it anywhere else but in that program. So I will just make a general statement here that I thoroughly enjoyed every book in this set. I enjoyed the authors thAt I have read before and have found a few new ones that I will be looking for more from. The stories all had lots to keep you reading all the way th r tough, to that I finished all the books in three days. If you enjoy a good love story with Hot hero's, you don't want to miss this set.

I am working my way through this set.

Elle James - Hellfire, Texas
I was drawn into this story right from the start. Kinsey is on the run. She needs to get far away from her ex-boyfriend. When her car breaks down and starts on fire, Becket shows up and saves her from the flames. They knew each other when they were younger, and Becket takes Kinsey home to keep her safe. As they get to know each other again, they create a strong bond. But there is trouble coming. Will Becket be able to protect Kinsey? Will Kinsey find more than a safe haven? This book keeps you captivated from beginning to end. I highly recommend reading it!

12-Alarm Cowboys by this oh so talented group of women is a fantastic read. No surprise there, Cora Seton, Becky McGraw, Cynthia D'Alba, Delilah Devlin, Beth Williamson, Donna Michaels, Lexi Post, Elle James, Paige Tyler, Sable Hunter, Randi Alexander and of course, the lovely Sabrina York are my go to gals when I want a good read. I love this collection of books and the writers that delivered them. Awesome stories, lovable characters, drama, action and smokin' hot sex...what's not to like. Each book in this collection is a complete book, no cliff-hangers. I look forward to reading more from each and every one of these wonderful authors in the future.

Buy this now!!!!!

I'd read some other books by some of these authors and some of the authors I'd never really read, but now I can say I'm a fan of each and every one of them!

Each story gave me something different, but they played off each other so well. The writing styles meshed well together and you get a good mix of hot romance to scorching heat throughout the stories. I loved each story for different reasons and will probably put this in my favorite collection so I can read it again.
