Ahhhh I hate when I am not sure about the rating 😭

I was so intrigued about Landon and Nate’s story that I shoved away all the ARCs and new releases for it. THAT’S how great Hunter Bailey was in coercing (🙃) with the teasers of them in first two books.

And I have zero regrets whatsoever, I wasn’t disappointed in the least! This series is amazing and I had a great time❣️

It’s just the first.. at least 15% were so confusing! Like actually NOTHING that was happening made any sense 🫢
BUT once you get deeper in the story and understand the reasons behind their actions and what is actually happening - it’s clicks and works and is brilliant! And it’s impossible to stop anyway really

Again - I can’t and won’t be spoiling anything. BUT it’s real enemies to lovers, with all the best hate sex, amazing dynamics and great plot ❤‍🔥
It has everything we love series for - strong found - and just - family vibes, powerful characters, the setting, the atmosphere.
Truly an unexpected gem 🖤

I was so excited to jump into Landon and Barfred's book. Every book in this series has been perfection, so I had high standards going in.

Hunter Bailey does such a great job planting seeds for future books in the previous ones. She had me dying to know what was hiding beneath Barfred's professional, save-the-day persona. He just casually rescues everyone and acts like it's nothing.

As soon as I knew Barfred was getting a book I dying of curiosity over how Barfred and Landon could possibly have so much tension between them seemingly having no reason to be interacting. The way it actually played out was completely not what I expected, and caught me off guard. I was shook!

Barfred's internal struggle added so much depth. He's torn between saving Landon and holding onto his own morals. Watching him fight that battle kept me hooked. This book had me on the edge of my seat, but in a completely different way than the first two.

This was a true enemies to lovers! The hate sex. The two dominant men fighting for control. Absolutely yes.

I also loved getting different perspectives in this book. It made me want to turn around and reread the first two immediately, because I had no idea these things were happening behind the scenes.

This whole series is just captivating and so well done.

Julian and Atlas are still my absolute favorite couple, and I think my favorite book of the series. But I love Barfred in particular, and the plot of Coerced was so good. So I’ll give it a 4.5/5. Such a fun read that kept me interested and just the right amount of stressed. The series overall was so so good, and like nothing I have ever read before.

As usual, the plot was very good, and I continue to love the characters and how flawed they are. And the fact that Barfred has powers explains sooo much. He was such an enigma during the other two books, and it was like opening a treasure chest being able to read more about him.

I loved how different it was to the first two books. It wasn’t a repeat of anything we’ve seen before and it filled in all the gaps that were left from the last book. The three books together flow seamlessly, and seeing all three couples at the end of the book is so heartwarming and satisfying.

3.5 ⭐️ I was super excited to read about Landon & Nate, I love their resistance and fight against each other despite their developing feelings. It felt like this story just moved a lot slower than books 1 & 2 and was hard to stay fully engaged the whole time. For the last 10 or so chapters, I kept thinking it was the last one because everything felt wrapped up already but then it just kept going on and on until suddenly a lot happened in the epilogue where it needed 2 epilogues.
I’ve enjoyed reading this author (who is new to me!) and I definitely want to try out My Darling God in the future.

This one was my fave. The banter and fight between the MCs. Whew. Really liked their magical abilities in this one too and the plot. The spice was also spicing in this one. Some spice I don't think I've ever read before. As previously mentioned in some of my other reviews overuse of pet names and pet names in general can be a bit of an ick for me. I would have loved if these two were also verse because the dynamic was also kind of the same with all 3 books so I was hoping for a switch up.

loved it

Omg not my usual read tbh but I’ve loved the chastain castle trilogy and Nate and Landon what a story at first the hate is so real as is the fight for dominance but in the end they reach a beautiful compromise and their love is beautiful
