Jack has spent most of his life digging out of the quagmire of self-hatred caused by child abuse and violence. He has moved from a desperate, anxious life to a peaceful, hopeful, and content self. On his journey to find peace and happiness, Jack was a leader in a Christian recovery program and earned his undergraduate degree in journalism and his master’s degree in psychology. Jack has a special ability to articulate overwhelming and confusing emotions associated with being unloved and despised as a child.
I have been reading for 70 years, and never have I read characters that are laid out as crisply as the characters in the Dane brothers series. The sentences are short and concise, but you absolutely grow to love each character as Flynn and Ray build them out, word by word. Never to be forgotten.
