After her heart is broken once again, Aubrey decides to turn her back on love. She’s ready to get back out in the streets and make up for all the time she’s lost.
Klutch is a famous rapper; known for his playboy reputation. He’s had his eyes on Aubrey for a while and now that she’s single, it’s time to try his luck.
Take a ride with Aubrey as one wild, drunken night sparks an eventful weekend that could possibly change her life forever.
Rapper MMC that falls first and hard for what was supposed to just be a weekend fling with his cousin best friend. Some funny parts, great banter and spicy scenes. I loved all the characters even the side characters it was a great read, quick 109 pages!
This one grabbed my attention from the very beginning and never really let go.
I loved Aubrey and Klutch together. Their story felt like one that had been building for years, so watching everything finally come together was really satisfying. And let's be honest... I knew there was no way Aubrey was leaving that weekend without her life changing.
One thing I really respected about Klutch was his timing. He recognized Aubrey was a good woman, but he didn't pursue her while he was still out figuring himself out. Instead of bringing her into his mess, he waited until he was in a better place, and I appreciated that maturity.
The chemistry was there, the pacing kept me engaged, and I never found myself wanting to put the book down.
For a debut novel, this was a really solid read. If this is what the author is giving us right out of the gate, I'm definitely interested to see what they write next. (3.5/5)
Alright now. This was quick, cute and endearing. Feelings shifted abruptly but I won’t hold it against the author too much, because how seamless can you transition from hookup to commitment in 100 pages. I love that Klutch was NOT playing with our girl! Rod was something else wasn’t he?! Then got the nerve to talk about get over it. Nah bruh YOU get over it. Spring was an undercover bird because girl why would you keep running after Rod’s disrespectful arse trying to be superwoman. I hate when people play like they have all the answers and maturity in the world but end up with a partner that’s worse than the people they warn others about. I would’ve stopped speaking to Que as well. How you dog your girl until the day she died, then have so much to say about somebody else. I think it hit so hard because they confronted her in a damn club. Lastly, ladies being desperate to be seen with or attached to a rich man is disgusting behavior.
Klutch and Aubrey were supposed to be nothing more than a weekend link-up, but we already know how that goes. What was supposed to be temporary quickly turned into something neither of them could really walk away from. I loved that Klutch had already been feeling Aubrey, even if he knew he wasn’t ready for what being with her would require. And once he realized she was really the woman he wanted? Sir got himself together. We love to see it. Their chemistry made this such a fun, easy read. Nothing overly complicated or heavy…just two people who clearly belonged together finally figuring it out. Aubrey might have tried to keep it cute and stick to the original plan, but Klutch was her kryptonite, and baby… she was not going anywhere. Quick, cute, sexy, and straight to the point. Sometimes that’s exactly the kind of romance I need.
This was such a cute quick read!! Aubrey & Kluth’s chemistry was off the charts from the very beginning! They both had a crush on each other for years but never pursued it! I loved how Kluth knew that he wasn’t into being in monogamous relationships & instead of waiting her time or dragging them her thru the mud, he left Aubrey alone! But when he finally got his chance with her that man stood on business!!! He didn’t play about her from day ONE! I loved seeing their relationship develop & the growth in Kluth for the woman he really wanted was top tier! I’ll definitely be getting into more from this author!
I love the rapper MMC and baddie FMC combo! This is was a great read. I loved how the two main characters already knew each other, so the pacing didn’t feel off or too fast. I wish this was a bit longer with a little more “drama” from his other girls. But I’m just a bit toxic in that way. LOL. Overall, a great read that flowed really well. I will be on the lookout for what’s next from Nakelia!
This was a really cute story! Aubrey and Klutch were really meant to be. I knew she wouldnt be able to walk away after one weekend! Klutch has always liked her but knew he wasnt ready!
10/10 from beginning to end!! Love a book that’s is jumping from the beginning and can hold my attention. I can’t wait to read more from this author 🤏🏽
I loved the story of Aubrey and Klutch. Their connection was years in the making, and I was happy to see it happen for them. One thing that I loved was that Klutch didn't step to Aubrey while he was out living his best life. He appreciated that she was a good woman, and he didn't want to mess that up. Aubrey's ex was a trip. He really was out here taking it 🫣🫣🫣. For a debut, this was really good. I'm excited to see what else the author has in store
