Some fires are meant to burn the world down. Others are meant to burn it alive.

Welcome to Lyr'n'dell.
Five kingdoms. One reluctant heir. One academy where wielders from every kingdom train. And beyond the Ring... something ancient is waking.

Ava Pyreson has spent her whole life being carefully handled—the grieving heir to the Ignis throne, the girl who lost her brother, the flame too precious to let burn freely. But when she arrives at Lyr'n'dell Academy, she isn't just a princess anymore. She's a target. And the fire she was born to wield? It's consuming her from the inside out—a volatile, unnamed illness that burns through her core with every use of her power.

The one steadying force at her side is Aether—her obsidian panther boundling, bound to her soul since her powers awakened on her sixteenth birthday. Ancient, sharp-tongued, and entirely unimpressed with almost everyone. But even he can't protect her from what's coming.

When an assassination attempt nearly costs Ava her life, she's saved by the last male she'd ever choose to owe a debt to—Asher Maddox. A shadow wielder from the kingdom of Umbra, the most dangerous male at the Academy, and the one her father decides to bind to her soul through an ancient, irreversible blood oath.

Now Ava can feel him. His rage. His hunger. His secrets.

And gods help her—he can feel everything she tries to hide.

Caught between a centuries-old betrothal to her childhood sweetheart and a soul-deep bond with a male made of shadows and sin, Ava must survive the brutal Aegos Trials, manage a volatile power that threatens to shatter her body as much as her heart, and unravel the truth behind her brother's disappearance.

But the deeper she digs, the darker the truth becomes. And some truths, once found, cannot be survived.

This incredible book is an ARC and OMGGGG I am obsessed 😍 I devoured this book as it had everything that I love about fantasy in it. If you loved twilight, acotar and zodiac academy, then you will enjoy this book too 🤞🏽

MMC is giving Rysand vibes but a more darker and delicious one. He is definitely one of my fav book bfs for sure!!! 🥵🌶️

I loved the world building, the academy, the storyline, the rich history and all its mystery, the magic system, the friendships and love interests🥰🧚‍♀️✨

Aethor cracked me up from start to end, his banter and smart ass one liners had me in stitches throughout

The plot twist at the end caught me off guard, I really didn’t see that coming. I cannot wait to see what happens next in book 2!!!

I was generously provided with an advance copy of House Ignis and am very grateful for the opportunity to read and review it. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

House Ignis introduces an ambitious romantasy world shaped by elemental kingdoms, ancient gods, magical bloodlines and the Monoliths that protect the continent from the Void. At its centre is Ava Pyreson, a fire-wielding princess forced to become her kingdom’s heir after the death of her older brother, Jax. Arriving at the Academy while still deeply immersed in grief, Ava must learn to control her volatile power, navigate the political expectations surrounding her and uncover the truth behind her brother’s increasingly suspicious death.

There's a great deal to appreciate here. The elemental magic system has considerable potential, and I particularly enjoyed the boundlings - magical creatures whose emotional and supernatural connections with their wielders add warmth, and vulnerability to the story. Ava’s relationship with her celestial panther, Aether, was one of the strongest elements of the novel. Their bond feels affectionate and reciprocal, and Aether is allowed to challenge Ava rather than functioning merely as a magical accessory.

The central mystery surrounding Jax, Eclipsa and the supposedly extinct Veyari also provides a compelling foundation for the wider series. As the official account of Jax’s death begins to unravel, the story opens into something larger than an Academy romance, touching upon corrupted magic, suppressed history and the possibility that the institutions governing this world have concealed far more than Ava understands.

For me, however, the novel didn't always balance these elements as effectively as it might have. The romantic conflict between Ava, Asher and Jeremy occupies a significant portion of the story, and the repeated cycle of attraction, jealousy, confrontation and reconciliation occasionally became repetitive. I found myself more invested in Jax’s journal, the Veyari mystery and the corruption spreading through Eclipsa than in the ongoing struggle between Ava’s two romantic interests.

The novel also introduces a substantial number of characters, kingdoms, gods, creatures and magical terms in a relatively short space of time. The world is imaginative, but greater restraint in the early exposition, and more time allowing its political and historical structures to develop organically, would have made it easier to absorb. At approximately 121,000 words, the story is substantial, yet certain developments still feel crowded while some of the emotional conflicts are revisited at length.

Ava is a flawed protagonist, which I generally welcome. She's brave, and determined not to be treated as fragile, but she's also secretive, and sometimes unfair to the people around her. Her mistakes create genuine consequences, although I would have liked to see more sustained reflection upon the ways her indecision and secrecy affect others.

Asher is suitably intense for readers who enjoy possessive shadow-wielding romantic heroes, although his devotion repeatedly crosses into control. Importantly, the novel does begin interrogating that danger rather than presenting every expression of possessiveness as unquestionably romantic. The final chapters suggest that the darkness surrounding him may be far more complicated than temperament alone.

This is a promising beginning to an expansive fantasy series. The mythology, and central mystery offer strong foundations, and the dramatic ending creates several intriguing questions for the next instalment. With tighter pacing, a little more space devoted to the political and supernatural mystery, and less repetition within the romantic conflict, the series has considerable room to grow.

Three stars from me: imaginative, dramatic and full of potential, even though the balance between its romance, world-building and mystery did not always work for me.

I received an ARC copy in exchange for a review sharing my honest opinion.

I've tried to keep this review as spoiler-free as possible.

Sometimes you come across books where, after just a few chapters, you already know you’ll enjoy reading them all the way through. That’s exactly how I felt right away with *House Ignis*.

From the very first chapters, I was completely immersed in Ava’s story. She’s a young woman starting a new chapter in her life, even as she’s still grappling with grief from the past. Her curiosity and adventurous spirit, combined with the people she meets along the way, kept me hooked.

What I liked about Ava is that she isn’t perfect. She makes mistakes, has doubts, and because of that, she really feels like a real person. I also found Ember and Emma’s stories interesting. They aren’t just “Ava’s friends” they’re given enough space to reveal themselves and grow. Because of that, the group of friends felt very real and believable.

One of my favorite things in the book was the bonded animals. At first, I thought they’d mostly be a fun extra, but they turned out to be so much more. They’re fully-fledged characters with their own personalities, sense of humor, and opinions. Because they’re old souls, they also possess a great deal of wisdom. They’re not just protectors, but also mentors who guide, challenge, and sometimes hold up a mirror to their bonded partners. Aether, in particular, was a real standout for me who often stole the show.

I also found the world of Lyr’n’dell very captivating. The different Houses, the magic system, and the history are well-developed and made me curious about what’s next.

The various Houses, the magic system, and the history are well-developed and made me curious about what else there is to discover in this world.

Of course, it wasn’t perfect. I saw some things coming early on, and at times I felt that certain storylines or questions could have been given a little more attention. As for the love triangle, I would have preferred a bit less repetition.

Still, that didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book. For me, House Ignis is a strong start to a new series. The world, characters, and magic have me eager to find out what happens next. I recommend this book to anyone who loves young adult or new adult fantasy with romantasy elements and a morally grey love interest

Are you planning to read *House Ignis*? Or have you already finished it? What did you like best about the story?

There are some books you read, and then there are books you completely disappear into. House Ignis was definitely one of those for me. From the very first chapter, I knew I was in for something special.

The world-building is incredible without ever feeling overwhelming. Nicole Erica creates a setting that's rich, immersive, and full of mystery. Every chapter pulled me in a little deeper, and I loved uncovering more about the world alongside the characters. It has that perfect balance of fantasy, suspense, and emotion that kept me turning the pages.

The characters were one of my favorite parts of the book. They felt complex, flawed, and incredibly real. I found myself getting attached to them quickly, celebrating their victories and feeling every setback right along with them. Their growth throughout the story felt natural, and the relationships developed in a way that kept me completely invested.

The tension in this book is so well done. Whether it was the danger lurking around the corner, the emotional moments, or the unanswered questions, there was always something pushing me to read more and more. Every time I thought I had things figured out, the story surprised me in the best way ever.

I also loved that this wasn't just a fantasy filled with action. It has heart. There are moments that make you stop and really connect with the characters, and those quieter scenes made the bigger moments hit even harder. The balance between the emotional depth and the fast-paced plot was done really well.

Nicole Erica's writing is beautiful and easy to get lost in. The descriptions paint such vivid pictures without slowing the story down, and the pacing kept me engaged from beginning to end. I never felt like I was waiting for something to happen because there was always another mystery to uncover or another piece of the story falling into place.

If you enjoy fantasy with immersive world-building, unforgettable characters, high stakes, emotional depth, and plenty of mystery, House Ignis is absolutely worth picking up. It's the kind of book that pulls you into its world and doesn't let go until you've reached the final page.

Overall, House Ignis was an exciting, emotional, and beautifully written fantasy that kept me hooked from start to finish. I already know this is one I'll be recommending to other fantasy readers because it left such a lasting impression.

How was I so blessed to read this as an ARC 😍
All I can say is OBSESSED!!! And where is book 2!!!!

Here is my honest review. . . I went into this book not realizing how much it would consume my mind!

The way I fell for these characters, the battles of love, survival, and health. How I was on the edge of my seat… the twists, the secretes you uncover, the love you find in so many characters, and the bonds you make and break!!! The layers of this book!!!

The pace was amazing being able to read it all or come back you were NEVER bored or waiting for something to happen. It flowed amazingly!

You felt you were dropped into the story using all your scenes!! Describing the feel, the look, the smell, the emotions!! You get it all! How each character smells and connection to emotion and how that scent changes as the story continues!! Personally love this detail!

Emotionally 10/10! You feel everything from being small, scared, insecure to finding yourself, confident, powerful to pain and loss to looking within and becoming who you need to be getting character growth in multiple characters to survival and LOVE oh the love!!!! To … well you can read the end for yourself and let me know… me I looked a bit like 😮🙊🤯 and I will leave it at that!

Ava has been a character that makes me feel more confident! Who despite her struggles she blooms and finds her own strength, love, passion, and better relationships amongst the pressure, the pain, the target on her back from all directions. Even though she has this mystery and this pressure to be the flame 🔥 she burns her own path and it is a journey you do not want to miss!!

This book has 2 parts and I don’t think I can’t pick a favorite!! Both hold battles, secrets, love, growth and kept getting better and better!!!

If you like character growth so strong you grow yourself. Bonds that have you laughing, crying, and feeling powerful. Friends that turn to family. Love and Passion that keeps getting better when when you think it can’t get any better than this!! If you like dark academia, trials, forbidden desire, forced proximity, soul bound, bonds/bondlings, morally grey love interests, magic with deadly consequences, found family, secrets, and truths you may not survive. . . This is the book for you.

Also…. 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🖤🖤🖤 ❤️❤️❤️

This book has consumed my mind!! TBR now!

I was granted the opportunity for an advanced copy read for an honest review.
(It's a little long, bare with me)

This is my first ARC review and I deeply thank the author for the opportunity! I swear this is my full honest review with no bias.
To start, the introduction was strong. It drew me into Ava's mindset immediately, introducing a clear scene and situation that had me curious for more.

I absolutely love Aether. He takes me back to my childhood, reminding me of Salem from the Sabrina. Their partnership and bantering brought a smile to my face often as I read, and their deep love for each other shined.

I found the plot built beautifully throughout the story, a little repetitive but that's life, going through the motions and expectations until you find your path. The tension between the main characters had me on the edge of my seat, giggling like a schoolgirl. Also, the love and care between the side characters for each other and for the MCs just gave me ultimate friendship goals. Embers relationship with Ava specifically was perfection and full of laughter.

The beauty of the world created, the academy and the house's separate areas were perfect. I could picture each scene and I'd love to live in a world like that! My favorite, and what I'd like more of, is the cliffs, lava and ocean scenes, but that's my bias for the ocean.
By page 314 I was screaming into my phone. The tension, yes I said it twice, the passion! I devoured the last 90+ pages and by the end I was bursting at the seams for book two!
I started reading around 9:15pm. I finished at 3:20am. I could not put it down!

Thank you Nicole Erica Green for giving me the opportunity to read your story. It gave me chills and laughter. I can not wait to get my copy House Ignis in hand! My eye is on my calendar!

Oh my god, this book was one heck of a good time. I was immediately pulled in. It had all the drama of a classic CW drama with some of Harry Potter and Fourth Wing thrown in.
The banter in this book was insane and had me laughing so many times and saying" Oh my God" that my husband became worried. LOL. What makes it so much fun was it just wasn't simply banter between the FMC and the MMC it was banter between friends and their love interest relationships too.
The side characters in this story are so well fleshed out. You know their names, their personalities, who loves who, etc. You know them almost as well as the main characters. So many of them deserve their own stories. Hint, hint.....
Ava is our FMC and Princess of Zymarra. She's struggling with grief over the death of her brother. She is torn between two men- Jeremy the Earth Prince and her betrothed. Or Asher, cousin of the Umbra Queen, and a shadow daddy. It became kind of obvious who she was leaning towards after a little bit so I was a little annoyed when she would start to change her mind.
A slight nit pick - in the beginning, there was lots of information about classes as it is an academy setting. However, that tapered off towards the middle of the book. I wish that had been continued a little more throughout the story.
But that ending?! What the absolute (bleep) was that?! My mind is still trying to process it. It's one brutal cliffhanger. I'm praying book 2 comes out soon and puts me out of my misery. LOL
Thank you for choosing me to be an ARC Reader!

I received an advanced copy from the author and here is my honest review!

Review: 3.5

So first of all the promise of the book is quite interesting but, this is a really long novel over 650 pages and I felt like sometimes it didnt balance out well the plot lines.

The magic system and worldbuilding is actually quite compelling, balanced, interesting and provided in such way it doesn't feel like infodump.
However, I ended struggling with the plot line sometimes, a fair part of the first 25 chapters was spent exploring the jealousy between Jeremy and Asher which felt excessive at times while the Veyari, Jax and the journals were left forgotten. I feel that if these two were more balanced out it would have strengthened the novel overall. Personally also felt that sometimes the emotional journey of Ava lacked development such as her fear of Jules disappearance then untouched for the rest of the book amongst others. On the other hand, I felt the ending and trails we had been waiting for so long were a bit rushed. I did realize where the ending was heading but I don't mind it at all since the execution throughout the novel was actually really well done.
And the panther? The best! Definitely their bond is the best part of the story.
I also enjoyed that Jules, ava and ember all had their own flaws and arcs which is good craft!

Finally thank you so much to the author for the fun time!

How do i even review this without giving away spoilers? I mean, I think I'm pissed or at least I should be. This ending..boy. I can only assume the author wanted you to throw your phone, scream into the void, and then just stare at the wall. So if you do decide to dive into this, just know the state you'll end in.

Anywho, the story was great. You got some HP mixed with ZA here, and I'm not mad at it. I had a little confusion in the beginning that was quickly sorted out, I'd explain, but...spoiler. You have your main characters, but also, the side characters can be deemed heavy MVPs because they were maybe 🤏 from being the main characters.

The read is ABSOLUTELY worth it. Definitely should be a movie because I mean, I need to see these fights in live action and the apparel worn for these events because it read amazingly.

This is probably the most vague review I've given, but like, I'm all in for whatever comes next.

Fav Quotes:

"The one who makes you burn is the one who will unmake you."

"It's not like I've got a busy schedule today, other than bleeding out and listening to this psychopath's monologue."

"I'm yours. In the light and the dark. Always."

“Love is a battlefield. Some of you are just particularly bad strategists.”

"I'm going to ruin you tonight, and the gods themselves are going to watch."

When you receive a ARC copy of a book and it hasn’t released yet.. you try not to spoil it as much as possible. Or at least I do.

That being said.. just like the fourth wing brought me back to reading with its differentness.. with its otherworldly quality and a place you can immerse yourself in fully. This does just that. I saw it as a mixture between hunger games, divergent, mixed with zodiac academy. That’s the most spoiler free way for me to describe it.

This book captivates you right away.. has you on the edge of your seat wanting to know what happens next. To the point you’ll lose sleep reading into the wee hours of the morning (as I did for more than one night) but it was totally worth it.

…and the spice? The spice is off the charts. So many descriptive scenes from more than one pov.

He falls first, she’s a girl who’s a bit different (I’ll let you read exactly how once it’s released) but I related to her quite a bit. It felt nice to be represented in yet a whole different way but just as seen.

The side characters are just as interesting if not more interesting than the MMC/FMC.

This has elements, houses, a school. Lovers, rivals.. hierarchy. It has it all.

I just got done with book 1 (and it doesn’t even release until Sept 15th!! ) and I already am anticipating book 2!!

I received this book as an ARC from the author.

I’m so glad I did!! If you love Laura Thalassa, SJM and Rebecca Yarros, this book is for you.

The world I got drawn into was captivating. The world building can sometimes be too much, but Nicole wrote it so well.
By chapter two, I was hooked. I hated that I had life commitments because I just wanted to keep reading. Ava is such a strong FMC. She doesn’t give up and I love that.
And Asher. He is… There’s a lot I can say about Asher but I won’t because, spoilers! I loved him.
As for the other characters, they were great and I absolutely adore Ember.

I loved the bonded animals aspect too. Who doesn’t love magical animals? The banter between characters was great and there were so many snarky things said that made me laugh.

Was it perfect? No. Did I care? Also no. There were things that happened that I saw coming a few chapters ahead but the way they were written, it didn’t matter. It was written that well.
The whole book had me drawn in to the point that I didn’t realise that I was at the end. I needed it to keep going. I needed more.

I will be reading this again. I’m sure there are some details that I missed and I can’t wait to find them.

Bring on book two!!!

Loved this book, so well written, with and cliff hanger that will... well keep you hanging.
She is a betrothed princess to her child her friend and first love obviously a price. Tragedy strikes her family, now she needs to step up, a role she never wanted but no mater what she is determined to find the truth to the tragedy.
Once she enrols at the academy, she meets the mysterious man who falls head over heels for her and let's just say 2 men fighting over is hot and as tempers flair, fist and magic collide. Who will come out on to win the princess heart?
While she navigates life as a first year, with the help of her friends and her trusty, yet broody theatrical boundling, long forgotten secrets are exposed, and with the weight of the forever encroaching darkness threatening to destroy her world as she knows it weighing heavily on her shoulders and the grief in her heart that threatens to consume her.

Will our fiery princess be strong enough to save her wold or will she descend into the darkness for love, or is the fire that burns in her veins and her heart be strong enough to save both?

So welcome first years to House Ignis.

Fantastic World-Building

The world-building was really engaging and I loved the magic system. I found the book to be well written with a smooth, effortless flow. It's an easy, fast-paced read and keeps you turning pages. The friendships felt authentic and the FMC's backstory added a lot of emotional depth- being the royal heir and carrying the weight of losing her brother added a compelling layer to her character.

This part of my review is personal to my reading preferences - Unfortunately, the love triangle was the dealbreaker for me. I just couldn't get past it. Instead of a satisfying slow burn, it felt like we were instantly dropped right into something much more high intensity. I struggled to connect with how the FMC could feel such intense tension for two different MMC at the exact same time when clearly she was meant to choose one.

There is a lot to appreciate in terms of writing quality and character dynamics. If you don't mind intense, immediate love triangles you will love this book.

I gave House of Agnes 4 stars. Overall, I really enjoyed the story and thought the plot had some great moments that kept me invested. I especially loved—and hated!—the ending. I had completely forgotten this was part of an unfinished series, and it definitely left me looking forward to the next book.

That said, I think the book would have benefited from some tightening. It felt long-winded at times, and while I enjoy steamy romance, I felt there was too much emphasis on the sex scenes. Some of them slowed the story rather than moving it forward. I also struggled at times to understand the main characters’ overall goals, and the female lead seemed to fall for the male lead very quickly—perhaps because of their bond, but I would have liked a little more development there.

There is a lot to like about House of Agnes, and the story absolutely kept me interested. I just think a shorter, more focused version could have delivered the same impact with even stronger pacing. Despite my criticisms, that ending worked—I’ll definitely be reading the next book.

✨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

House Ignis – Thrones of Lyr’n’dell - Book 1 by Nicole Erica Green

This was an easy 5⭐️ read for me! I devoured it in less than 24 hours because I simply couldn’t put it down.

So, what did I love?

🔥 Ava is the kind of FMC I instantly connected with. She’s emotional, chaotic, navigating chronic illness, and constantly dealing with her snarky boundling which made for some of my favourite moments.

🌑 Then we have Asher… our shadow MMC (aka Daddy Darkness 😂). He’s mysterious, possessive, dangerous, and constantly keeps you guessing with his hot and cold personality.

☀️ And of course, Jeremy - the steady, dependable one. He’s Ava’s safe place, there’s history between them, and the love triangle had me feeling some serious The Wolf King Callum vs Blake vibes!

💛 The friend group? Absolutely chaotic in the best way. They’ll party with you until sunrise, but if anyone comes for one of their own, they’ll burn the world down to protect you.

And can we talk about the boundlings?! They’re not pets or weapons—they’re soul-bound protectors that take the form of animals and mythical creatures, and I was completely obsessed with this concept.

That ending?! 😭 It genuinely made me mad… but only because I wasn’t ready for the book to be over. I need Book 2 immediately!

✨ If you’re looking for:
📚 An academic setting
🐆 Soul-bound protectors
🖤 A delicious love triangle
🔥 Chaotic found family who would burn the world for you
🧡 A relatable FMC

Then House Ignis needs to be on your TBR when it releases September 15th!

Thank you to the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review. 💙

House Ignis is a romantasy with ancient gods, magic and elemental kingdoms.

Ava is the fire princess who has unfortunately become the heir to her kingdom after her brother died, she has to go to the academy despite her grief and her illness which makes her magic quite volatile at times.

One of the major points in my opinion in the book are the boundlings which are creatures that are bounded to the various characters, they aren't just portrayed as "dumb animals", they are old souls with opinions, senses of humour and fabulous comebacks.

Asher (Daddy Darkness) is just perfection in my opinion, he is danger personified, possessive, blows hot and cold to the point you just want to shake him lol.

In conclusion, this is one of the best books I have read this year, and I can't wait to see where book 2 goes.

I received an ARC copy of House Ignis in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed the world, the different Houses, magic and especially the boundlings. Aether was probably one of my favourite characters. I also really enjoyed the romance and spice throughout the book. I’m a big romantasy reader, so some parts did feel familiar to other books I’ve read, but overall I really enjoyed the story and was invested in seeing where everything was going.

I did notice quite a few repetitive words and descriptions throughout the book, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying it. The ending definitely left me wanting book two, and I’m excited to see where the series goes next!

Overall, this was a 3.5⭐️ read for me.

I was give an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and I can honestly say I genuinely enjoyed this book and believe it has huge potential to become a fantastic series!

It's a great Mashup of all of our favorite things in this genre. Broody Shadow weilder, a variety of 'boundlings', school setting, dueling love interest, fantastic and tight friend groups, variety of magic trials and games etc. There's also an emerging theme of darkness that's definitely cementing a deeper storyline that involves underground tunnels, hidden journals, outter boundary beings, and something ominous and dark with the main love interest. I'm invested and can't wait for book 2!

If you like zodiac academy this book is even better 😍🤤

I have been left needing more because I don't think I will ever get enough.

ARC PROVIDED IN EXCHANGE FOR A HONEST REVIEW.

Where do I begin. I fell in love with Ava and Aether from page 1. I love their dynamic as boundlings. Aether with is “unimpressed” with anything attitude matches
Perfectly with the fire from Ava.

Then comes Asher. He is the pure definition of what Ember lovingly calls him darkling. Broody with a hint of a know it all Asher will pull you in to his silver eyes if you’re not careful.

From burning secrets to steamy Romance and hidden story’s, House Ingis will pull you in from the moment you step in to the halls of Lyr’n’dell.

I’ve been staring at the wall since finishing this book, just sitting in my feelings.
The world building is top notch. The way the school was described had me standing right in the middle of everything…absolutely in awe. I was pulled in and wishing I was there! The boundlings add a dimension of cuteness, whimsy, power and a sprinkle of inner dialogue. Where do I get one?!
The romance is top tier swoon worry with steamy, spicy scenes. A+++!!!
I am craving more!

Thank you to the author for a free ARC copy. This voluntary review is my honest opinion.

This was a captivating book that had me hooked from the first page. The world building has so much potential and I can’t wait to see what book 2 has in store for us. The only thing that could be better is if Nicole spent a little more time giving the backstory and laying the foundation for Lyr'n"dell. There are some things in the book that aren’t explained and left me a little confused.

P.S. that ending was rough 😱 can’t wait for book 2!

First off thank you so much for the author sending me this ARC! The cover is stunning. What caught my attention to this book was the Academy setting. I love a good academy type book with magical abilities and as well as magical animals. This book did not disappoint in my opinion. Readers will fall in love with the characters. You will pick your favorites but are they who they seem to be?? Give this book a try!
Edit to add.. in need of book 2 like as soon as possible..!

Review of an Advanced Reader Copy from author-This book was entertaining from the start. You’ll have a fun time if you enjoy a world with a splash of Harry Potter, an over seasoning of the CW and then drench it in a gallon of Fourth Wing. There is some redundancy within the story and Ava can be annoying within the love triangle of Asher, her dark bonded and her childhood betrothed. What is that ending? Do I need the next book, yes. It’s a good time.

I received an ARC from the author.

I really enjoyed the book.
From start to finish, I was completely drawn into the story. The book reads very smoothly and builds up well.

The book is about different kingdoms, each with its own magic. The female protagonist is the princess of the fire kingdom, Ignis. Throughout the story, you see her grow in strength and as a person. In addition to friendships and love, there’s also a mystery to solve.

I’m already really looking forward to the next book!

Close proximity. Enemies to lovers. Elemental magic. Bondings. Shadow daddy. I don't know what else to say because I absolutely loved this read! Now I'm sitting here unsure on what to do with my life because I just did not want this book to end!

Left on a cliff hanger and now I have to wait for the second book!

This book was giving Zodiac Academy vibes and I love every second of it! The plot twist was insane. I'm already ripping my hair out waiting for book 2 to come out.
The banter between characters was so fun. I didn't just love the main characters, I also love the side characters. The bonded attitudes always made me laugh.
Highly recommend reading this book

*received as an ARC*

This was fast paced, however I did find myself bored at times with the Jeremy vs Asher love triangle. It was at times repetitive, and made reading this book a little bit of a struggle at times.
However, in saying that, what an ending!!! Plot twist, and cliffhanger. It does entice me to read the next book.
