A Delicious Story Brilliantly Written Ms Ephraime does it again in a sweet, moving, compelling and erotic way. Middle-aged women often break from a philandering husband after years of unhappiness only to live an unfulfilling life even lonelier than the one they left behind. We seek love and redemption in the arms of another man and are all too often so disappointed. Such is not the case in Ms Ephraime’s latest novel, Chasing love, a warm and even ***HOT*** tale of love between a divorced woman and a younger man however it is not scripted and predictable. This “no cookie-cutter story here” is anchored in reality, completely believable in the constructed plots and thoroughly heart-warming. Centered around a key date, Mother’s Day, that figures prominently, Ms Ephraime has written a delicious story brilliantly in her even more enjoyably stylish way. You will love this book.
A pretty novella about a lovely woman who deserves a happy ending. It's well written, and well paced. The story is steamy and there's a sweetness, too, to the love scenes. The story feels real, as if it's about someone the author knew well, which is great as the characters are easy to relate to. In real life happy endings don't often happen to people, so this story of Tilda finding love is a very pleasant and sexy afternoon read. 5 stars.
A second chance story for a divorced mom of 3. Heartbreaking to read how she put her heart out there to a man who didn't really seem to love her and yet she was totally in love with him and had his babies. After they divorce she sinks low barely getting by. I like that she tries internet dating. I think the whole idea of internet dating is so scary you don't really know if people are lying. Definitely a different kind of romance
I enjoyed Chasing Love. It is well written and the characters are quite memorable. Tilda is in her 40’s, which makes this story more relatable for many of us. It has it all: romance, drama, some passionate moments. If you love a great romance story, you can’t miss this one. I’ve read other works by Ju Ephraime, and she is one of my favorite authors.
Having your husband leave you for a younger woman is an age-old tale––painful, galling, and most of all, a blow to the ego. Enter divorced Tilda, who at forty- seven and three children, is still attractive but no longer feels it. On the Internet she connects with David, a man fifteen years her junior and when they meet in person, sparks fly. End of story. Simple, right?
No, because if you’ve been hurt and all you want to do is to wrap yourself up in a blanket of protectiveness and security, things need time to happen. Luckily, David, with his great intuitive assessment of her, understands that and when they do come together, he is kind and gentle. And btw, sexy! Erotic scenes play a big role in this book, of course, but what also played well for me was the idea that a person can find true love and great sex at any age. Uplifting, indeed!
Chasing Love begins a heartbreaking story of a woman who loved her husband, a man who never loved her. When he leaves her(on Mothers Day) for another woman, she is devastated. With 3 children to raise she has to make herself be as normal for her kids as possible. In time she decides to see if she can meet someone new. Enter David, a man 15 yrs her junior. That's ok, she's not looking for lasting love, just companionship.. But the sparks fly and so begins the real love story. Will Mothers Day be special again? Well written characters. Believable and heartwarming, this story is an original. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
"I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review"
This isn't your average boy meets girl kind of romance, and I really like that. The main character, Tilda, is older and dealing with real-life issues like going through a relationship as a more mature person. I like that it didn't seem to follow a formula. It wasn't boy meets girl, conflict, and get together. The story progressed like a natural relationship would. It was quite refreshing.
'Chasing Love' is a lovely, sweet romance with a really great message. I enjoyed this book primarily because the characters didn't fall into stereotypical romance roles. Tilda was a strong and independent protagonist and I really liked the way her attitude towards her ex-husband changed throughout the book. I read this in a couple of sittings- a short, easy read- perfect for the beach!
This is a wonderful story about an older woman and a younger man. Ju Ephraime has a great writing style and her characters are believable. I was thoroughly involved in their romance and rooting for a happy ending. I’ll be looking for more from this author.
When Tilda’s marriage comes to a crashing halt on Mother’s Day, she soon finds herself to be a single mom, with all the life changes that come with that. She tries out the dating scene until she finally settles on David. But will her children accept him? Is there a reason he never invites her to his home?
This is a quick read about starting over in life after your hopes and dreams come crashing down around you, that offers some hope that the rebuild is possible, and can even be better in the long run. The steamy scenes are hot and the buildup is thorough. A great contemporary romance!
Chasing Love is a story about a forty-six year old woman, Tilda, who is coping up from discovering the infidelity of her husband right at Mother’s day where she should be being appreciated. A divorce followed suit and she was left alone to take care of her three children and nurse her heart back to life, never mind the hefty financial support her ex-husband is providing.
I enjoyed this book and became a bit sentimental especially Ju Ephraim didn’t fail to show the struggles in a single mom’s journey into juggling love life and maintaining her family…caring for her kids.
She had the support of her family as she mended her broken heart and moved on. What’s more is that this story has online dating concept where she met David. I am very attached to online dating because I too found a wonderful man through there, it’s an unlikely place to find love but who know’s what’s in store for you, right? Tilda might have found hers in there and maybe her chase for love would end with David?
Aside from Tilda, my other favorite character would be her eldest son, Alex. I found this deep connection with him because in some ways we are definitely alike. I could see myself from him and felt a bit good about myself because Alex is a strong kid who has a big heart and lots of love to give not only to his mom and siblings but to the man who could make his mother happy once again, or maybe in the first time. She wasn’t really happy with her ex husband because Tilda knew at the back of her mind that the divorce was bound to happen.
It has its emotional and sweet moments but I shall commend Ju Ephraim for writing the steamy scenes as well, what’s a good book without a pint of something sexy, right?
I wish Ju Ephraim had expanded the book more though, put more pages into it depicting more moments with Tilda and her kids and how they coped with losing a father figure. The author somewhat focused into Tilda and David’s chase for love that I felt like if she had also delved with the kids this book would be a ton more appealing. I want me some book about a strong family.
Overall, I very much enjoyed this book and devoured it in one sitting…roughly took me four hours of reading time. It’s that awesome. Thus, I am giving this 4 stars rating!

Despite a lot of expository writing the author relies on to keep the story short and tight, telling at the expense of showing, which would have resulted in more of a full size novel instead of a novella, I found myself thoroughly engaged from the first page. The author has an infectious writing style and was able to get me inside the heads of her characters quickly, and made them so real they popped off the page.
This is also one of those rare books where unlike standard novels which keep the romance as a B-story, and unlike Romance fiction, which keeps the relationship front and center as part of the A-story, this book is all about relationships and nothing but. You would think that without coming up for air it would be just too much, but it never is. Very few writers can construct a story like this and make it work. To have any chance at all you must truly excel at character driven fiction, and the author does.
Moreover, I suppose, you could argue that in our heroine’s pursuit of Mr. Right, there are her own struggles to reckon with, trying to cope with the countless Mr. Wrongs, and trying to hold her kids together as a single mom. These peripheral trials and tribulations keep the story motoring along with a kind of B-story, even if it is no less relationship focused than her extramarital affairs.
The heroine’s naked, uncompromising honesty about her own fate, her willingness to bear her soul without pretense or resorting to artifice of any kind, say an active imagination with which she could escape her trials, lends the story a lot of raw power and her a ton of empathy. It’s all too easy for all of us to see a part of ourselves in her, though we may try not to.
Recommended for fans of drama, without the usual coloring and slants of genre fiction.
Chasing Love is a sweet read that will leave you with a wonderful feeling about love. Tilda and David meet over the internet and it's an instant attraction. The only issue that Tilda has is that she's a few years older than David, she has children, and was previously married. She doesn't know how he will react when they finally meet in person. Their meeting goes well and it seems their attraction goes above and beyond than what they'd experienced online. It seemed Tilda brought lot of drama to the table as she was always worrying about if she was good enough for David and how was it possible that she could satisfy this young man. The romance seemed genuine and the heat level was enough to make me blush in a few parts, which is a good thing. I can honestly say that then ending was beautifully written and Tilda got what she deserved. Well, done, Ju Ephraime, for creating another masterpiece involving romance, drama, and of course some intense heat in a novel that will bring a smile to every readers face.
Tilda's husband leaves her on Mother's Day after sixteen years of marriage. This story tells what happens when she decides to try online dating. After several months, she meets David, attractive and fifteen years younger. Tilda is forty seven and has a young family to look after. She's lost confidence after her marriage to Christopher, a selfish and domineering man. I would have liked more of a plot to the story, maybe more interaction between David and Tilda's family. We're told that he doesn't get on with his mother and lives in a garage next to her home. How had he ended up in such a position? This intrigued me and I would have liked some scenes between David and his mother. I thought there might be more to his past and wanted to know why such an attractive man in his early thirties was using online dating. The author describes the chemistry between Tilda and David well, although I found some of the sex scenes used cliched phrases. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys reading a fast paced and uplifting romance.
What I love about a good romance novels is the romance - something that often falls to the wayside for women like me who have been with their spouses for decades, and Chasing Love did not disappoint. What I don't like about many romance novels is how I can usually skim to the action and fill in all the blanks on my own thanks to the standard "romance formula." Thank goodness Chasing Love followed a formula of its own! Tilda is a real woman with relatable issues for many divorced mothers in this day in age. Facing a life without passion (something she's used to since her marriage was loveless) Tilda takes to the internet in search of a companion. Along the way she learns a lot about modern day dating (Catfish anyone?) and about herself. A quick, fun beach read, I'll be recommending this one to my girl friends!
Chasing Love is a love story about mature love, or rather, younger man older woman. I'll preface by saying that I LOVE a story about a woman who triumphs in the face of heartache! I also love the fact that the main character's name was so unique... The story was centers on Tilda, a divorced mother, who, after her husband up and left her for a younger woman thought her life was over. But after wallowing in self-pity, decides to give social media a try. What she found was a wonderful surprise as her life took on a turn for the better. Giving credence to the saying, “life begins at forty”. Tilda suddenly finds herself going places she’d never been before, and loving it. Great love story and a testament to never underestimating the power of a woman!
when matilda has to start life all over again after her divorce, she finally realises she needs some help so she takes a leap in to online dating, after two failures she decides to give it a last ditch attempt, she meets David even though they meet on mothers day a day matilda has grown to hate, but is that all about to change now?
David has gone through many of dates and like matilda this is a last ditch attempt an man is he glad he came. they have both finally found what they want, but will it all be enough for them will it be the love that last forever
i found the book to be fun unique enjoyed reading it i love tilda she is a fun woman with a heart of gold, and david mmm david smile emoticon
Start this book when you have at least three hours spare, and forget the wine and chocolate. For beach readers, apply sunscreen and check the tide times; you will not be able to take your eyes from your Kindle. Ju Ephraime achieves the impossible; she takes a failed wife and mother of almost 50, Tilda, and uses the sadness of yet another miserable, lonely, Mothers Day to build sexual tension. By the time Tilda joins a dating site and eventually agrees to meet David... WOW! A weekend in Rhode Island... Thrice WOW, and not once does the author lose the essential Tilda. Her three children and their feelings... childcare... her parents... Tilda is a real woman, including shopping for lamb at the butcher's counter. An "easy-read" book for me-time. Don't miss it.!
I like second-chance books, so right there I'm biased. In this story, Tilda--a divorced mother of three young children--finally admits to herself that she doesn't want to go at it alone. That takes guts. It also takes an immense amount of courage to re-enter the dating world. So that also wins Tilda points in my book.
So by the time David shows up in the book at their meet-and-greet on Mother's Day, of course I'm already rooting for Tilda to find her man. David, with his previous strikeouts, also has me emotionally vested in the story by the time he meets Tilda. Once again, Ephraime delivers a sweet romance of second chances. Yes!
Chasing Love is an engaging romantic novella by Ju Ephraime. Hoping to have a second chance for a relationship, Tilda has to overcome past bad experience, to begin a new loving relationship. This is beautifully written, and will bring tears to your eyes. A well-written contemporary romance story that will have you eagerly turning pages. I would recommend it to those who love a passionate, open door love affair.
This book is amazing. It's very well written and the characters are very well developed. I was hooked from the first page. I couldn't put this book down. I look forward to reading more books by Ju Ephraime
