After being gang raped, left for dead, infected with a deadly disease, pimped and falsely imprisoned for a crime she didn't commit, the storm has finally passed. Luck has begun to shine in her favor and Tanisha Jordan has finally found love! Although Marcus happens to be everything Tanisha could want in a man, unfortunately Tanisha is living a lie. A lie she is willing to protect BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY! She would've loved to have told Marcus the truth, but she knew he would never understand. Whether he would place judgement on her like the inmates of Hampton Roads Regional Jail, Or feel sorry for her like her so called friend Crystal... Both of those thoughts were a chance Tanisha wasn't willing to take. Therefore it was only right of her to lie. Now that Tanisha finally found love... That deep desire which fuels her soul... Something her heart been yearning for her entire life... You will see there are no limitations to her madness and exactly how far she's willing to go to cover up her lies in the name of love!
This was a very refreshing read. I was glad not to be reading about the Drug life. The readers can learn about a different lifestyle in the Black community. Mental Illnesses and HIV are subjects that need to be written about. l felt very bad for Tanisha and the thing she had to endure in life. I will definitely be following Robert Cost to see what other good books in has in store.
What an amazing story. To see the progression of mental illness from start to end was fascinating and sad. At first, I thought Tanisha was just plain stupid, but after reading both books, my heart cries for her. I too have mental as well as health issues, although not as much or as bad as Tanisha - I could have been her.
This author did an OUTSTANDING job! I'm an instant fan, and look forward to reading more of his books. Thank you for this amazing story
This young lady went through a lot in her life. I do not care for her father he deserves what he got. My heart goes out to this young lady having a mental illness is something serious. Great job I’ll give it 10 stars!!!
Tarnish omg this girl has lost her marbles, and all just to stay in love, what she did to Alexis was wrong, Mr. Yates got EVERYTHING he deserves! Poor Marcus, I really felt bad for him, the way she did him...Making Shavonne rape him, not thinking about the consequences, Poor Marcus man he did not have to die like that.... A father that never cared for his daughter.. you reap what you sow.. Poor Tanisha... Omg!!! Good Job Robert Cost Shekie Johnson
I didn't expect this book to end how it did. I was hoping that Tanisha would be able to get the help that she so truly needed. Mental illness is no joke. I'm glad that her dad got what he deserved. After all that he put her through all of her life, he was still only concerned about himself and getting reelected. Excellent read Mr. Cost.
That damn Tanisha. I was not expecting the events that took place in Part 2. This book had me on edge wondering what was going to happen next. I kept waiting on Tanisha to wake up and for all the events to have been a dream. This book is definitely different and good.
I felt so bad for Taniesha. Yea she had a lot of faults and some was caused on herself but the things she went through I wouldn't wish on anybody smh. Her mental state really got the best of her making her believe the killing she did was justifiable and denying the fact she killed Marcus. Just awful. Excellent read. Strongly suggested.
Great read it was not your average everyday read but it was a great read and stuff like this happens in life yes Tanisha had a lot of problems and I don't agree with the way she went about trying to solve them but life happens . Robert Cost you did it enjoyed your books. Recommend to everybody that likes to read.
I guess after all these years maybe Trina Turner was wrong in her hit, "What's love got to do with it". A little girl all grown up but still a child seeking her father love. She he rock bottom and escaped into a world of madness called "Love'. But like the title states, "who I'm I to jump judge"!!!!
This book went a totally different direction than I thought it would or should go. I am glad I stuck it out until the end. Tanisha went plum fool and the ending was totally unexpected. All in all it was a good read with unexpected twist. I don't want to give out any spoilers so be sure to pick up a copy and read for yourself.
The author made sure to draw you in from the beginning. Tanisha I think was a lost cause, I couldn't believe she did all that but she did have a disorder. This is a Great book.. don't sleep on this author.
I really wanted to like this book. Initially I was thinking it was too over-the-top and out of character for Tanisha to act that way until her disorder was brought up. It made a little more sense but it was still too much for me.
A lot of people fail to realize that the lack of a parents love and affection as well as approval can have and leave a detrimental long lasting effect as well as affect on a child. This book hits on it...once again GREAT READ
This book was ridiculously good. I truly enjoyed this book from the beginning to the end. My heart went out to Tanisha. If you want to read av really great book, this is it.
