She could lose her farm. Her only lifeline is a dying man she’s never met.

When Stella Rydell’s rotten husband sells her farming equipment and demands a divorce right after a record-breaking harvest, she finds herself on the brink of losing everything.

Then she receives a phone call from a brother she never knew she had.

Stella’s brother is dying. He wants to save her farm... but first he dreams of meeting her. With no options left, Stella travels to a tiny island to fulfill her brother’s last wish.

The island has a hospice, an airport, and a single road. Stella swears she’s made a mistake. But as she meets the residents—and the handsome groundskeeper—she soon realizes that not everything on the island is as it appears.

Her brother is her only lifeline. But even when all seems lost, miracles can still happen.

Long-lost family, fresh beginnings, and healing after heartbreak, The Waves By The Cottage is a feel-good series that will delight fans of clean and wholesome romance.

This is the second part of the story. It is a quick read that gives more depth to our MFC and MMC as well as some of the supporting characters. At this point, all but the MMC are dealing with hardships in their current life or hardships from earlier in their life which are still hurting them. Some even have questionable motives for being with their dying relatives. A threat was encountered by the MFC, and it follows a pattern that occurred at the hospice several years earlier. This part of the story ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to the next portion of the story.
Trigger Points= death and dying, hospice, childhood abandment.
I received an ARC and these are my own thoughts without influence from the author or publisher.

The island is meant to be a sanctuary — a serene place where final days are spent in peace. But in book two, death arrives with illness and with something darker. Stella discovers cryptic notes left at her door and inside her cottage, each one a whisper of danger. As secrets stir, she finds new friends, new feelings, and a deeper understanding of herself. Even in the midst of fear, love threads its way through the story. A beautifully crafted, emotionally rich read.

As Stella struggles to find peace on this remote island where her half brother is dying, she finds out that her ex husband is dead and her farmhouse & barn were burned down back in south Dakota. She also finds another mysterious note taped to her refrigerator. It seems she's the target of a stalker. A great read!
