Assuming he hasn’t finally scared her away once and for all. This is the thrilling conclusion to this four-part series! They are best read in order.
Independent author Ellen Callahan reads and writes edgy contemporary romances. She is also enthusiastic about baking cookies and loves rock music - the louder, the better. When she isn't writing, she's spending her time with her three rambunctious nephews.
Ellen can be found in New York City, chugging coffee and walking too fast while forgetting where she was supposed to be going in the first place. If she look confused, it's okay, she's just working on a plot point. Please point her towards the nearest subway station.
Whilst this was an okay conclusion, book 1 was definitely the best in this series. By the end I felt things should have progressed more than they did. I never really fell in love with the characters or their story. For me there needed to be more back story. I felt this side of things was underdeveloped and needed more work for both Mal and Riley. Everything felt better suited to a full-length novel, and there was the potential for it.
Overall they were easy reads and I got them free with a KU free trial so I can't complain. The series had its good points and it was all right for quick reads. It did get a bit repetitive, but you may want to check them out if you're on KU as they're some of the better reads I'v'e taken a chance on.
This was a great ending to this love story! Mal was the typically tough MMA fighter with a teddy bear interior. He just didn’t realize it! Riley was a good character as were all characters in this book.
This was the perfect ending for Mallet and Alexa. Form the first book to the end, you could really see how their relationship progressed from lust/physical attraction to love. I really appreciated the fact that although it was 4 short books it happened over the course of months , no instalove in sight. It was always refreshing that they each worked out their family issues and realized that a real family doesn't just consist of the family your born into but the friends and family you make throughout ur life.
