To me, Billionaire Business Tycoon Spencer Lawson was beautiful. Perfect. My secret crush.
But to him, I was probably just “Jenna the Maid”. The hired help who cleaned his Manhattan penthouse, did his laundry and cleaned up after all of the many women he had stay over.
In fact, I doubt he even knew my name since he actually never said a word to me. But then one day everything changed...
As I cleaned his apartment, I caught him checking me out. He then caught me checking him out. And before I knew it, we were both indulging in flirty banter.
One thing soon led to another and from that point on, we both knew our relationship as we knew it was about to take on a whole new meaning...

It's cute...I know how cliche all this billionaires meeting poor black women and falling deeply in love thing is.....It's like all the rage....billionaire tycoons, cowboys, race car drivers, billionaire plumbers,dishwasher.....lol....but this is cute...a little close to 300 pages, the plot has a little more depth, the characters smartly assessing their personal reasons for moving forward in the future....wisely stepping back and seeking sage advice....and moving on with their hearts and minds in the same place.
Like the other reviewers have said this had a great storyline but it was actually a very slow and in places boring read. I kept going with it because I wanted to see what happened in the end.
Another reason I am thankful for Kindle Unlimited.
I love that this was an age gap romance which is becoming one of my favorites. Both Spencer and Jenna were immature though and lacked communication skills and would just assume sh*t without confirming. But I did enjoy their back/forth love story
Where do I start? Well I must say I don't like criticizing writers because it hard work to bring a story to life. However, this book could have been an easy 4 stars if the author did more research on the ghettos of New York. For example the scene is set that main female character lives in the Bronx. And then the scene was set that that the love interest (Spencer) was visiting Jenna (main character) in Brooklyn---WHAT??? My other problem was the author didn't stay with American jargon when the it was supposed to be the voice of Jenna from the Bronx or Brooklyn (I am not sure which), but any respecting Bronx or Brooklyn born and raised there and never traveled aboard does not use british jargon as often as it was used by Jenna. In summary, I'm glad I have Kindle unlimited and I didn't pay to have this book in my library.
Surprisingly good. I never trust books with such titles but this one is well written by an obviously talented author. The only small thing I didn't like is that the author is a bit impersonal, detached so to speak like she's a stranger to her characters. This doesn't make the story any less enjoyable though so I recommend it.
As you might guess from the title, this story is trite and unoriginal. What you don't see though, is the atrocious editing and the abrupt porn-like sex scenes. I was bored and had to force myself to skim/read the last half of the book. The characters aren't well developed and aren't very likeable. Will not be reading more from this author, ever.
I chose this rating because I felt the story was a little slow. Story had potential but I got bored. Also I didn't really like the ending and there was no closure with the old boyfriend.
I thought it was all a bit repetative the retelling of the story throughout the book was pretty annoying. I was reading it and I don't have the memory of a goldfish so there was no need to recap several parts of the story more than once. Also sex without protection.....no no no
