Rule number don’t sleep with your brother’s best friend.
Cute rule. Shame I’ve never been great at following them. Zayn Miller is older, hotter, and way too good at pretending he does not want me. He is also my brother’s best friend, which means he has spent years treating me like something off-limits. Then we end up alone at my family’s cabin. One storm. One bed. One man with too much control and not enough common sense to stay away from me. We agree on RULES:
No touching. No kissing. No crossing the line.Obviously, that lasts about five minutes. Because Zayn doesn’t kiss like a man who is unsure. He kisses like he has been starving, and I am done being the good girl everyone thinks they know. I want his hands on me. I want his rules broken. I want the man who keeps calling me trouble while looking at me like he already belongs to me. But forbidden men come with consequences.
Can I keep the man I’ve always wanted, or will loving Zayn cost me everything I’m not ready to lose?
CABIN RULES is a brother’s best friend romance with forced proximity, a possessive hero, secret crush, praise kink, power play, and a happily ever after.
Either this is the worst AI generated slop ever created or this author has a temporary lapse in brain function. The dialog in this book was so godawful and robotic, I barely made it to the end. I kept thinking it had to get better, there’s no way I fell for an AI written book. Spoiler alert: it never got better, the dialog actually got worse, and I am irritated beyond measure. AI has no place in literature, cliterature, whatever! I read this book in KU but somehow i still feel owed a refund. Save yourself, don’t even bother with this crap.
I expected spice from this book. But that was an understatement. Right off the bat like within the first chapter or so it got hot. I did not expect the dirty from Zayn. He seemed so composed but I guess the right person undoes you.
Zayn and Lena, best friends little sister/ brother’s dreamy best friend. She’s always been in love with him, he’s never crossed the line.
A short steamy read, no third act break up and a happily ever after.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I liked how close proximity finally allows Zayn and Lena to act on their long held feelings. I liked how admitting their love involves her brother.
This was a novella and a very short read so from the beginning it starts with a bang in the spicy scenes. Overall, an ok book I have read several of Kate's book and they are quick to read and spicy to boot. The characters chemistry was good.
