Grace Kensington thought her days of performing were behind her. After winning silver on the world stage, she came home to Brookhaven to teach the next generation of skaters—not to lace up under the spotlight again.
But when her students’ big holiday ice show loses its headliners at the last minute, the mayor volunteers her as the replacement. And her new partner? Luke Carter—the ex-NHL player who’s been hogging her rink, her patience, and now apparently her choreography.
Luke’s cocky charm drives her insane, but it’s impossible to ignore the spark between them when they hit the ice together. Their late-night rehearsals turn from frosty to flirty fast—and one reckless kiss threatens to melt everything she’s worked for.
Grace isn’t looking for love, especially not with the man who can get under her skin faster than a triple spin. But in Brookhaven, even the iciest hearts have a way of thawing under the Christmas lights.

This novella could definitely use more editing. There were a few nearly identical conversations between the main characters + some minor mistakes (eg. the number of hours between texting and their practice). Overall, I give it a 2.5-3/5, a nice and simple story. Rounding up to 3 stars to kick off the stats
I like the story. It is a short and sweet Christmas skating palette cleanser story which is largely what I was looking for. The emotions read as real, even if Luke come across a bit extra on his emotional intelligence level. I did struggle in a few places with some continuity and timeline items that were a struggle to follwo, but far from story breaking.
This book had me absolutely squealing from the cuteness! Love Grace and Luke so much and the cuteness at the start before they kissed. I need to know what happens with Murph and Jenna though!
