I have read this entire series and I have enjoyed each and every one of these books. But in my opinion I like this one the very best.
Each one has to do with two wolves finding their soul mate and this one isn't any different. This one is about Dev and Toby relationship and all about how they meet and a few things that provoke the jealousy monster. I love the feeling that this book really brought forth different emotions in me.
I hope this isn't the last one of this the last book I read from this authur. While reading her books, there is always a smile on my face because I know that even though her characters go through some tough things, no one gives up on the hope of finding their true love.

In this eighth story of the ‘Wolves of New Haven’ series, Dev, the youngest of the three former Starr Mountain Pack enforcers, finds his mate. But the enemy who tried to kill the three brothers in the previous book is still around and does his best to interfere.

Dev never expected to find happiness, figuring he didn’t deserve it after the things he has done. But when Toby, a generally submissive wolf, stands up to him at a pack meeting Dev knows he is the one. He has barely managed to ask Toby for a date when he gets a message from someone he believed dead. And when he goes to investigate, his own life is threatened.

Toby struggles with his weight, hates the latest diet he is on, and can’t believe a gorgeous, dangerously sexy wolf like Dev could be interested in him. Never mind that he is way out of Dev’s league – when the man asks him for a date, he agrees. Only for Dev not to show up, angering Toby before his friend Sal’s mate, Dev’s older brother, points out something must be seriously wrong. Toby rushes right into the heart of danger to help Dev – but it is almost too late.

If you like werewolves who act more like humans than wolves, if you want to see two very different characters give in to their physical attraction, and if you’re looking for a read that is full of heat, danger, and a last-minute rescue, then you might like this short story.

Dev’s Wolf by author Angelique Voisen is the eight book in the Wolves of New Haven series. This is my first time reading this series. I did not feel lost. I did feel this book was a bit short though. I wished I knew more about the pack, and more about the dynamics of it. So perhaps if you start with the first book, you won’t have that feeling that I do.
I also feel this story is very rushed. There is a ton of things inside this short story. MM, Werewolf is my favorite genre. I love the concepts in this book. I like that Toby is not a pretty boy, he is flawed. He thinks he is overweight, and he doubts his own value. Lucky though this shy nerdy guy has a true love that thinks he is just amazing.
Dev I really felt the information about him was dumped on me rather than shown. It was like here is his back ground, now let’s go forward now. Again perhaps reading the series from the start helps this, but if this is truly Dev’s love story then I feel it really should be his and more fleshed out than this story was.
The chemistry is amazing between Toby and Dev. There is a lot of story in this short book, and if it had been longer I really would have loved it more. As it is it is a good story with sizzling chemistry. I would like to explore more in this world. Hopefully some of the holes will be filled in as we go along.

These Walker boys are so grumpily adorable!

Another fun read in the series.

Dev, the younger of the Walker brothers remembers what it was like when they left their mother. He remembers seeing her doped up with her pimp and being rescued by Jax and Reed. He wonders why their mother never cared enough to take care of them or even look from them after the wovles told her to get lost. Dev, he is kind of a lost wolf though he's torn between the soft side and the ruthlessness of his past life as an enforcer for the Starr Mountain Pack.

That is until he gets harassed by Toby one night at the New Haven pack meeting and everything changes.

I liked that we had already met Dev and Toby in Kal and Sal's book. Kal being Dev's older brother who bought the really expensive wine from Toby for his date with Sal who also happens to be Toby's BFF. This book, the one before and having read the blurb for book nine reminds me of seven brides for seven brothers - just with three alpha wolves for three "little wolves" - bless their beautiful hides.

Anyway, back to the short review.

Dev wants Toby. Toby tries to put up a fight because he feels unworthy. They come to a conflict. Someone from Dev's past comes back into town and Toby decides to save the day.

This one was way light on the sex but it was still a joy to read.

On to book nine I go.

I'm a big fan of this author's world in the 'Wolves of New Haven' series, and especially of the submissive, slightly chubby, unmated characters who all seem to believe that if they stick to this new diet, then they too will find their hunk of a mate. *grins* Why shouldn't Toby believe it? He's seen it happen. Heck, his close friend Sal just mated with one of the notorious Walker brothers. And Toby sure likes eyeing Dev Walker.

Toby is stunned when Dev asks him out, but then he believes it to be a joke when Dev stands him up. Furiously Toby goes to Sal and Kal's apartment, only to have Kal let Toby and Sal know that the Walker brothers’ mother, Nancy, is in town. The same woman who abused and neglected them their whole lives. But Kal can't believe it's her, because he and Van found information proving she overdosed years ago. A little fact they didn't bother to tell their baby brother. The brother who took Nancy leaving the hardest.
