(Review for #1 & #2)
I guess it would have been a good idea to read ANYTHING else Convergence related before diving into this. I just wanted to read a good suicide squad story and dove into the middle of a universal threat. Oh boy…
From what I’ve read, there were good story elements and moments that were cool. Otherwise, there was no need for the Suicide Squad at all. Issue 1 did a quick team setup and established the threat at hand. Instead of fleshing out the characters or giving us *literally anything,* they all get a panel with one punch. That’s it…

I usually don’t write reviews but this was a disgrace. They put together one of the deadliest and most insane Squads ever for this? I mean, I knew it was gonna be hard to balance the characters in 2 issues, but damn, what a waste. Crazy to think this is the one and only time we see this version of the squad. This had so much potential.

While this was less of a mess than the first one and actually followed a straight path, it was mostly uninteresting unfortunately.

Meh, neither of these managed to catch my interest. My favorite part of this issue was Green Lantern's sword.
